GB-MIMO (Ground-Based Multiple Input Multiple Output) radar plays an important role in landslide disaster prevention. Common MIMO radar imaging based on BP (Back Projection) algorithm is slow, and severely affects the real-time performance of deformation measurement. In this paper, a fast imaging scheme applied for GB-MIMO radar is proposed based on a heterogeneous system consisting of CPU (Center Processing Unit) and GPU (Graphic Processing Unit). The signal processing architecture is firstly designed according to the radar imaging principle and algorithm analysis. Then the acceleration technology of GPU is studied with CUDA technology. The results show that the computing speed achieves 30∼35 times in three different echo sizes less than conventional schemes, which proves that the method can meet the requirement of real-time well.

In the CA1 region of the rat hippocampus, fast field oscillations termed sharp wave ripples have been identified as playing a crucial role in memory formation and learning. During ripple activity, particular sequences of neurons fire in a phenomena called replay. So termed because the spiking encodes patterns of past experiences, the exact role of the content of replay is an active subject of investigation in order to determines its relationship with learning and memory guided decision making. A need arises for systems that can decode replay activity during ripples in real time. This necessitates fast algorithms for both spike sorting and ripple detection with the lowest possible latency. A low latency implementation makes possible feedback experiments where decoded ripple sequences can, with minimal delay, trigger stimulating pulses that can disrupt particular kinds of decoded information before they can contribute to behavior. In this study, we optimize and implement a recently proposed online spike sorting algorithm for an increasingly popular electrophysiological software suite and measure improvements that greatly enhance its multi-tetrode decoding capabilities. Synchronizing with online ripple detection, this novel framework will allows experimenters to study the effects of disrupting replay activity with a degree of granularity hitherto unavailable.

In this paper, the authors propose an alternate method to derive higher radix FFT algorithms by using a recursive approach and by appropriately combining the twiddle factors without increasing the structural complexity. Specifically, efficient radix-8 and radix-16 FFT algorithms are designed and their arithmetic complexities shown to be slightly less than those of the corresponding existing Cooley-Tukey FFT algorithms

We further study the effects of learning momentum as defined by Arkin, Clark and Ram (1992) on robots, both simulated and real, attempting to traverse obstacle fields in order to reach a goal. Integration of these results into a large-scale software architecture, MissionLab, provides the ability to exercise these algorithms in novel ways. Insight is also sought in reference to when different learning momentum strategies should be used.

We design and implement the espionage infrastructure to launch a cache-based side channel attack on AES. This includes a spy controller and a ring of spy threads with associated analytic capabilities - all hosted on a single server. By causing the victim process (which repeatedly performs AES encryptions) to be interrupted, the spy threads capture the victim's footprints in the cache memory where the lookup tables reside. Preliminary results indicate that our setup can deduce the encryption key in fewer than 30 encryptions and with far fewer victim interruptions compared to previous work. Moreover, this approach can be easily adapted to work on diverse hardware/OS platforms and on different versions of OpenSSL.

Recent omnidirectional camera designs aim a conventional camera at a mirror that expands the camera's field of view. This wide view is ideal for three-dimensional vision tasks such as motion estimation and obstacle detection, but these applications require an accurate model of the imaging process. We present a full model of the imaging process, which includes the rotation and translation between the camera and mirror, and an algorithm that determines this relative position from observations of known points in a single image. We present tests of the model and of the calibration procedure for various amounts of misalignment between the mirror and camera. These tests show that the algorithm recovers the correct relative position, and that by using the full model, accurate shape-from-motion and stereo matching are possible even if the camera and mirror are severely misaligned.

Automation of ship maneuvering in limited sailing conditions usually requires 100% redundancy of thrusters (THRs) of various modifications and their locations in accordance with the matrix. The hierarchy of the motion control system is branched by levels using high-level motion controllers and THRs control distribution algorithms, which allows for a modular design with software, where the high-level controller (HLC) can be designed without comprehensive information about the thruster motors, and the input signal branching and speed limits are handled by the motion controller. But, for certain THRs configurations, this branching leads to the decrease in control efficiency due to the limitation of data on the physical characteristics of the ships and the operation of the motion controller. This research examines different approaches to improving control efficiency using methods of nonlinear predictive control models as a basis for developing motion controllers with decision optimization based on relevant constraints. The implemented branched system is the result of solving two simple problems of ship's motion, which highlight the related problems. The use of different approaches to eliminate the identified shortcomings made it possible to develop the nonlinear controller that combines the motion controller with distributed control of the THRs and ensuring the certain level of system reliability. The modularity of the control system is provided by the expansion of the closed system, which made it possible to achieve an increase in efficiency during the combined mode of operation. The obtained solution of nonlinear control with time-varying constraints made it possible to increase the accuracy of the control with a decrease in the duration of the pause in response to the change of the disturbance within 10 % .

With the rapid advancement of science and technology, people's yearning for a more convenient life has gradually become concrete, which has given rise to a huge logistics industry chain. At the same time, the ever-increasing labor costs have caused an urgent need for autonomous delivery vehicles. This paper presents the design and integration of an autonomous vehicle system for efficient indoor parcel delivery, addressing the challenges of navigating dynamic indoor environments. This vehicle system leverages a multi-sensor approach, integrating LiDAR, radar, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), GPS, and odometer data to provide comprehensive environmental perception and precise localization, which will contribute to the field by providing a practical application of autonomous vehicle technology in a constrained environment, offering a solution for the logistics industry’s indoor delivery challenges.

This article discusses the issues of practical implementation of the previously developed algorithms for intelligent tuning of operating frequencies in cognitive radio systems. Two SDR devices of the LimeSDR type were used as a model of the cognitive radio system. An OFDM signal with an adaptive signal-code structure is used as a system signal. Service information about the parameters of the signal-code structure and the number of the frequency channel of the next frame is transmitted in the pilot signal subcarriers. To implement the algorithm, special software has been developed. Experimental studies were carried out with the use of software, where it was shown that the use of an algorithm for predicting the occupancy of frequency channels can reduce the time of operational scanning of the spectrum.

Fatigue driving is the main factor causing traffic accidents. To reduce the traffic risk, we explores a driver fatigue detection method based on OpenCV combined with PHOG algorithm. By extracting facial feature points from the eyes and mouth of drivers, this study employs an adaptive eyelid closure threshold for the eyes and a feature correction algorithm based on Euler angles. This approach enables real-time computation of fatigue indicators such as PERCLOS, blink frequency, and yawn frequency. By weighting and fusing these characteristic indicators, a fatigue score for the driver is derived. Based on predefined thresholds, the driver’s fatigue level is assessed, and corresponding warning messages are issued. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in identifying driver fatigue, providing a reliable auxiliary tool for enhancing driving safety.
