Modern power systems must develop a suitable protection mechanism, in order to deal with the technical challenges associated with the integration of distributed generation (DG) into microgrid systems. Specifically, it was noticed that for inverter-dominated microgrid, when operates in autonomous mode, fault current exhibits very low magnitude due to inverter control and their low electromagnetic inertia, which makes the traditional protection techniques vulnerable. While addressing the aforementioned issues, a straightforward and fast protection method based on Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT) and Fano equality ratio test-based statistical measurement is proposed in this article. To investigate the performance of the proposed scheme, a 14-bus looped microgrid test system containing PV and battery energy storage system is considered. Primarily, using EWT the multiresolution coefficient of fault current signals at both ends of the line is estimated, and then by implementing Fano equality ratio test the adequate threshold setting is set for the identification of fault. The modelling and simulation of the test microgrid system are carried out in PSCAD-EMTDC software, and the fault detection algorithm is formulated and executed in MATLAB R2022(a) which uses data obtained in PSCAD.

This paper describes the core of a video signal processor dedicated to perform MPEG-2 motion estimation and prediction selection. A mixed Hardware/software approach based on a small RISC controller was adopted which gives flexibility and robustness in the choice of the algorithms. Hardware optimizations were investigated to implement genetic motion estimation algorithm which appears to be the best candidate for this kind of architecture. The candidate motion vectors generated by the controller allow nearly full search quality with a drastic decrease of the required calculation power and the hardware complexity.

Smart pollution monitoring approaches based on wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have progressed significantly over the past decade. More recently, intelligent computational strategies based on internet-of-things (IoT) and cloud computing (CC) have gained much momentum in the related studies. In this study, a smart context-aware environmental pollution monitoring and control scheme is presented for an urban setting to demonstrate how effective pollution mitigation and control can be achieved by the integration of known hardware and software approaches in a feedback control system. As a main contribution, this work shall describe in detail how the hardware infrastructure that consists of internet-of-things (IoT) and either cellular or non-cellular communications, is combined with machine learning (ML) software algorithms to provide informed environment control decisions/signals for dynamically and optimally updating the status of our environmentally controlled mitigation strategies. Finally, the importance of this work is clear as the framework and architecture can also be applied to other urban settings and mitigation strategies that can be optimized using intelligent and context-aware control signals.

Testing is one of the important phase of software engineering field, which checks the correctness of software. A common part in software testing is that test data are generated. For this test data, tester manually adds different test cases. But adding test cases manually is very difficult task. So we generate set of test cases called as test suite. Test case is nothing but a condition which we want to check. Code coverage is important factor in test suite. While generating a test suite, consider a inheritance tree a of class and generate test cases by considering all branches of that tree. Test case may have more than one goal, check feasibility for this particular goal. For generating optimized test suite, apply Genetic and Memetic algorithm. The aim of this test suite generation is covering all branches for maximum code coverage while keeping the minimum size. Applying both algorithms for code coverage. Code coverage of Memetic algorithm is maximum than code coverage of Genetic algorithm. We have implemented this system and for checking result use open source project such as Roops and net.

We introduce a new fully automated method for segmenting and characterizing the dendritic tree of neurons in confocal image stacks. Our method is aimed at wide-field-of-view, low-resolution imagery of retinal neurons in which dendrites can be intertwined and difficult to follow. The approach is based on 3-D skeletonization and includes a method for automatically determining an appropriate global threshold as well as a soma detection algorithm. We provide the details of the algorithm and a qualitative performance comparison against a commercially available neurite tracing software package, showing that a segmentation produced by our method more closely matches the ground-truth segmentation.

With the explosion in Internet-based electronic commerce, there is an increasing need to secure data and commercial transactions. While there are several encryption methodologies, such as the DES (Data Encryption Standard) and the RSA (Rivest, Shamir, Adleman) algorithm, there is a continuous need to develop other algorithms, especially taking into consideration the recent advances in hardware and storage technologies and software distributed computing capabilities. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of investigations conducted by the authors regarding the emerging data security methodologies. Emphasis is placed on the applicability of these algorithms in the academic, industrial and commercial environments. Of the several methodologies considered for the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), MARS (Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines) has become one of the front-running and adaptable methodologies for data security over global networks. Initiated by NIST (National Institute of Standards), the MARS cipher was developed by IBM as an alternative to the existing DES methodology; MARS is expected to be more secure.

Computer interlocking system is a safety-critical system. Aiming at the problems of insufficient testing, low efficiency, strong subjectivity, and poor comprehensibility in the current functional testing of computer interlocking systems using manual testing and automatic testing. A design scheme of a simulation test platform based on deep learning for automated testing of interlocking system functions is proposed. By analyzing the system structure of the interlock system and the process of manual and automatic testing, the design idea and implementation method of the simulation test platform are determined, and the automatic testing target of the interlock function is finally realized, thus achieving the goal of complete and efficient safety testing.

The present conventional digital financial transaction at Automated Teller Machines (ATM) is secured with PIN number, with this there are chances of forgetting or misusing to overcome this with the increase in technology and various advancements in financial infrastructure, most of the bank customers prefer to use Automated Teller Machines (ATM). To improve the security in such cases a new generation ATM machine which is based on face recognition technology is used. It also assists with changing passwords which increases privacy and security. The high-quality image has an important role in the recognition process. We propose Implementation of Face Feature algorithms for Authentication of a Person (IFF AP) technique, an attempt to solve, The LBP algorithm and Haar Cascade techniques are employed for this process. This technology helps in increased security and avoids unauthorized transactions. This mutually benefits banking institutions and the customers. Leveraging existing algorithms, particularly those based on Local Binary Pattern (LBP) and Haar Cascade, reveals a commendable qualitative analysis showcasing high accuracy up to 92.85% and improves computational efficiency compared to existing Techniques.

The decision of the controllability property of a nonlinear system is still not settled completely. For input-linear systems the well-known Lie algebra rank condition can be used. In this contribution we make use of this rank condition to compute the set of not locally controllable points of polynomial dynamical systems by algebraic methods.
