We propose a decoding algorithm for a class of convolutional codes called skew Reed-Solomon convolutional codes. These are convolutional codes of designed Hamming distance endowed with a cyclic structure yielding a left ideal of a non-commutative ring (a quotient of a skew polynomial ring). In this setting, right and left division algorithms exist, so our algorithm follows the guidelines of the sugiyama's procedure for finding the error locator and error evaluator polynomials for Goppa block codes.

By analyzing operating principle and topology structure, complex water supply network can be abstracted into a weighted directed graph. Using Dijkstra algorithm, minimum dissipated power paths from water sources to all nodes have been calculated to simplify the original network. Combining sugiyama algorithm, the main network layout with a hierarchical structure and initial District Metering Area can be defined. For those nodes who are far away from the water sources and close to the border area, a boundary criterion has been proposed to check the belongings and to determine the final District Metering Area partition. Finally, a sample town with real data in Info Works WS software has been set up. This case study is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.

In smart substation, the interrelationship among different devices is complex. The information in a smart substation is not transmitted through point to point communication, but through a novel communication network. Existing auxiliary systems for maintenance and inspection in intelligent substation cannot visualize the flow of packets in the implementation of specific function in secondary system. This paper, by analyzing the contents and requirements for maintenance and inspection in intelligent substation, designs a visualized function correlation. The function correlation library is built based on the principle of relay protection and expert experience. This library can show the interrelationship of the packets, when one specific function is triggered during the normal operation of substation, sugiyama algorithm is used to illustrate the complete process of this function implementation.
