Technical-economical optimization of horizontal axis wind turbines by means of the genetic algorithm

Wind turbine design is a trade-off between its potentially generated energy and manufacturing cost represented by the area of turbine surface in this research, and both factors are highly influenced by a number of design parameters. In this research, first, a weighted sum of these factors, with a negative weight for power, is assumed as the performance function to be minimized. Then, blade element modeling was performed for class NACA turbines to estimate the generated power based on the effective wind velocity in the area. As a novelty, a new algorithm based on fuzzy logic was proposed to determine the effective wind velocity by using the history of wind velocity in the area. The wind velocity, therefore, the generated power by a wind turbine, is largely dependent on its operation area. In the end, the genetic algorithm with decimal numeric genes was employed to determine the optimal design parameters of the turbine based on the recorded data. This study resulted in a computer program which integrated calculations of fluid dynamics into the genetic algorithm to optimally determine an appropriate turbine (its geometric parameters). The implementation of the proposed method on two different regions ended up with the design of the blade NACA5413 for Manjil and the blade NACA4314 for Semnan, both in Iran.

In order to solve the problem of LEACH algorithm can not guarantee the larger residual energy node absolutely ware elected as cluster head,and it consumes large amounts of energy for double counting of cluster head election,at the same time,the influence of the node distance for cluster head election is not *** improved LEACH algorithm has solved the problems veηwell, it makes a use of cluster heads projection to decrease the number of cluster competition by combining with the optimal cluster head selection algorithm,which can reduce the node energy consumption,then to achieve equilibrium ne何ork energy consumption and prolong the survival time of the *** the experimental results shown that the improved LEACH algorithm balanced the energy consumption of the entire network,significantly reduced the power consumption of the nodes in the monitoring area,delayed the first death nodes appear on the number of rounds,and prolonged the life cycle ofmonitoring network.

In this paper,a novel fuzzy neural network model,in which an adjustable fuzzy sub-space was designed by uniform design,has been established and used in fed-batch yeast fermentationas an example.A brand-new optimization sub-network with special structure has been built andgenetic algorithm,guaranteeing the optimization in overall space,is introduced for the feed *** the basis of the model network,the optimal substrate concentration and theoptimal amount of fed-batch at different periods have been studied,aided with the optimizationnetwork and the genetic algorithm *** above results can be used as a basis for theestablishment of a fuzzy neural network controller.

Modeling the Water-Flushing Properties of the Yangtze Estuary and Adjacent Waters

As a multi-branch estuary system, the Yangtze Estuary presents distinctive characteristics of hydrodynamic processes through co-action among river runoff, tides, wind-waves, and gravitational circulation. To study the pathways of flushing water along all of the estuary's branches and analyze their differences, especially those due to the influence of seawater intrusion and discharge variations, a free surface flow modeling suite TELEMAC-MASCARET involving passive tracers was applied to the Yangtze Estuary and the adjacent waters. The open boundary conditions were provided by the Nao.99 b model(Matsumoto et al., 2000), which was calibrated using observed velocity and salinity data obtained in March 2002. The water age, which was used as the diagnostic tool to study the flushing efficiency of the water body across the estuary, was solved by additional advection-diffusion-reaction equations implemented in the TELEMAC modeling system. The transport properties were investigated under different river discharge scenarios, which represented seasonal impacts; aspects relating to the influence of tide, surface wind stress, and density-induced circulation on age were also investigated. Model results showed that river runoff is one of the dominant factors influencing the spatial distribution of the mean age, while tidal force is another important factor. The horizontal freshwater age distribution demonstrated similarity compared with the salinity distribution; the vertical age distribution resembled the stratification pattern of salinity in all branches where stratification persists. An experimental numerical simulation of tracing saltwater age from the lower reaches of the estuary was conducted, and implicated the connectivity with transport processes of freshwater from upstream. Additionally, a particle tracking algorithm was used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of the four passages. Low Complexity MMSE-SQRD Signal Detection Based on Iteration

Aiming at the problem of high computational complexity of Vertical-BLAST(V-BLAST) algorithm in Multiple-Input Multiple-Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(MIMO-OFDM) system signal detection, this paper first uses Sorted QR Decomposition(SQRD) iterative operation instead of matrix inversion to reduce the computational complexity of the algorithm, and then considering that the algorithm is greatly affected by noise, Minimum Mean Square Error(MMSE) criterion is used to weaken the noise effect. At the same time, in order to reduce the noise and computational complexity, MMSE and SQRD are combined, which can not only reduce the noise and computational complexity, but also obtain the sub-optimal detection order, thus improving the detection performance of the MIMO-OFDM system. Finally, the numerical simulation of the MMSE-SQRD detection algorithm is carried out. The results show that the Eb/No of MMSE-SQRD algorithm is 2 dB greater than that of the MMSE algorithm and the computational complexity is O(NT3) under the conditions that NT =NR=2 and the BER is 10–2. The detection algorithm satisfies the demand of short wave and wideband wireless communication.

In the paper, algorithms of the techniques incorporated in subsystems of the program complex are presented for calculation and estimation of atmospheric anomalies, caused by industrial emissions in the atmosphere. The complex is included in the gas analyzer DAN-2, developed for registration of emission and absorption of optical and the microwave radiation initiated by gas-aerosol pollution in the atmosphere. The complex DAN-2 has been developed in the Institute of Atmospheric Optics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science. Techniques include: calculation of gas concentration in a plume of industrial emission taking into account gas-aerosol attenuation, an azimuth of the device sighting at a direction on the source and the allocated illumination of the day-time sky;numerical modeling of formation and distribution of gas-aerosol emission fields in the atmosphere with use of various models (Gaussian, Berlyand, etc.);the forecast of optical noise in the atmosphere at operating hardware DAN-2 taking into account different types of underground surfaces under various hydro meteorological conditions;algorithm of restoration of the plume structure under its image. In the paper, results of testing of the specified algorithms are presented with use of the data of natural measurements of NO2 and SO2 concentration in the emission plume of the thermal power station GRES-2 in Tomsk, which were received by the complex DAN-2. Calculation of atmospheric background noise and distributions of the gas-aerosol plume has been carried out by various methods with use of these data.

为寻求模型不匹配问题的一种恰当的解决途径,提出了基于语料分布特性的CADIC(clustering algorithm based on the distributions of intrinsic clusters)聚类算法.CADIC以重标度的形式隐式地将语料特性融入算法框架,从而使算法模型具备更灵活的适应能力.在聚类过程中,CADIC选择一组具有良好区分度的方向构建CADIC坐标系,在该坐标系下统计固有簇的分布特性,以构造各个坐标轴的重标度函数,并以重标度的形式对语料分布进行隐式的归一化,从而提高聚类决策的有效性.CADIC以迭代的方式收敛到最终解,其时间复杂度与K-means保持在同一量级.在国际知名评测语料上的实验结果表明,CADIC算法的基本框架是合理的,其聚类性能与当前领先水平的聚类算法相当.

Model of Combined Transport of Perishable Foodstuffs and Safety Inspection Based on Data Mining

There is still no effective means to analyze in depth and utilize domestic mass data about agricultural product quality safety tests in china now. The neural network algorithm, the classification regression tree algorithm, the Bayesian network algorithm were selected according to the principle of selecting combination model and were used to build models respectively and then combined, innovatively establishing a combination model which has relatively high precision, strong robustness and better explanatory to predict the results of perishable food transportation meta-morphism monitoring. The relative optimal prediction model of the perishable food transportation metamorphism monitoring system could be got. The relative perfect prediction model can guide the actual sampling work about food quality and safety by prognosticating the occurrence of unqualified food to select the typical and effective samples for test, thus improving the efficiency and effectiveness of sampling work effectively, so as to avoid deteriorated perishable food’s approaching the market to ensure the quality and safety of perishable food transportation. A solid protective wall was built in the protection of general perishable food consumers’ health.
