Robust Video watermarking techniques based on DPCM Encoder and permutated DCT spectrum combined with QIM is introduced. For this purpose the pixels of incoming frames undergo permutation, followed by block wise DCT transform. The DPCM encoder generates differential spectral images. The significant coefficients of these differential spectral images are selected for embedding procedure by quantization index modulation (QIM) method. By this technique the watermark is more robust against attacks and compression. To further increase robustness and to avoid visible degradation additionally the frame order and the watermark pixels were rearranged. To extract the watermark from the video the same operations have to be done on the decoder side. The incoming video frames are permutated followed by block wise DCT transform. After the decoder builds the differential spectral image the embedded coefficients can be selected and watermark extracted by inverse QIM.

Complexity of modern applications, the performance requirements and the power constraints are the major driving forces that motivate the use of Multiprocessor Systems on Chip (MPSoCs). Programming these platforms is still a big challenge, posing a multitude of software design issues: What is the right MPSoC programming model to capture parallelism?, How to parallelize legacy C code?, How to achieve optimal utilization of processing elements?, How to minimize communication overhead?, How to explore the vast software mapping design space?. Traditional compiler technology does not solve these challenges, as it does not consider the architectural characteristics introduced by MPSoCs. Several research efforts have been directed to address these challenges. One example is the MAPS framework (MPSoC Application Programming Studio) that offers facilities for programming heterogeneous and homogeneous MPSoCs. In this paper, we focus on the applicability of this tool to the software development on the TI Keystone Multicore DSP platforms. The analysis considers both performance and productivity improvements achieved by MAPS.

In this paper the prototype of an IEEE 802.15.4 compliant multi-hop wireless sensor network for energy-efficient sensor data and progressive image data transmission is proposed. For progressive transmission of JPEG and JPEG2000 encoded images a proprietary code stream has been developed. The JPEG and JPEG2000 codecs have been implemented in software. For the implementation of the wireless sensor network we used Texas Instruments hardware modules because they conveniently support IEEE 802.15.4 compliance, energy-efficiency as well as high transmission and data security.
