The eight-volume set, CCIS 2522-2529, constitutes the extended abstracts of the posters presented during the 27th International Conference on human-computerinteraction, HCII 2025, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, during June 22–27, 2025.
The total of 1430 papers and 355 posters included in the HCII 2025 proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 7972 submissions.
The papers presented in these eight volumes are organized in the following topical sections:
Part I: Virtual, Tangible and Intangible interaction; HCI for Health.
Part II: Perception, Cognition and interaction; Communication, Information, Misinformation and Online Behavior; Designing and Understanding Learning and Teaching experiences.
Part III: Design for All and Universal Access; Data, Knowledge, Collaboration, Research and Technological Innovation.
Part IV: human-Centered Security and Privacy; Older Adults and Technology; Interacting and driving.
Part V: Interactive Technologies for wellbeing; Game Design; Child-computerinteraction.
Part VI: Designing and Understanding XR Cultural Experiences; Designing Sustainable (Smart) human Environments.
Part VII: Design, Creativity and AI; eCommerce, Fintech and Customer Behavior.
Part VIII: Interacting with Digital Culture; Interacting with GenAI and LLMs.

This volume investigates the challenges and opportunities for designing, manufacturing and operating off-Earth infrastructures in order to establish adaptive human habitats. The adaptive aspects are considered with respect to the development of adequate infrastructures designed to support human activities. Given the limitations in bringing materials from Earth, utilisation of in-situ resources is crucial for establishing and maintaining these infrastructures.

Artificial intelligence has, traditionally focused on solving human-centered problems like natural language processing or common-sense reasoning. On the other hand, for a while now soft computing has been applied successfully in areas like pattern recognition, clustering, or automatic control. The papers in this book explore the possibility of bringing these two areas together.;This book is unique in the way it concentrates on building intelligent software systems by combining methods from diverse disciplines, such as fuzzy set theory, neuroscience, agent technology, knowledge discovery, and symbolic artificial intelligence. The first part of the book focuses on foundational aspects and future directions; the second part provides the reader with an overview of recently developed software tools for building flexible intelligent systems; the final section studies developed applications in various fields.

The IFIP World computer Congress (WCC) is one of the most important conferences in the area of computer science at the worldwide level and it has a federated structure, which takes into account the rapidly growing and expanding interests in this area. Informatics is rapidly changing and becoming more and more connected to a number of human and social science disciplines. human–computerinteraction is now a mature and still dynamically evolving part of this area, which is represented in IFIP by the Technical Committee 13 on HCI. In this WCC edition it was interesting and useful to have again a Symposium on human–computerinteraction in order to p- sent and discuss a number of contributions in this field. There has been increasing awareness among designers of interactive systems of the importance of designing for usability, but we are still far from having products that are really usable, and usability can mean different things depending on the app- cation domain. We are all aware that too many users of current technology often feel frustrated because computer systems are not compatible with their abilities and needs in existing work practices. As designers of tomorrow’s technology, we have the - sponsibility of creating computer artifacts that would permit better user experience with the various computing devices, so that users may enjoy more satisfying expe- ences with information and communications technologies.
