web architectures are generally designed with particular functional and nonfunctional requirements. Organizations often need to choose Software architecture for future development from several competing candidate architectures. There are several stakeholders such as client, manager, architect, developers etc, involved in software architecture life cycle. For every stakeholder their ownrequirements are there in terms of quality attributes. To choose any web architecture, it is very difficult task to identify which is better. Existing system have some limitations. In this paper, we have taken three web architectures Client-server web architecture (CWA), Distributed web architecture (DWA), Service-oriented architecture (SOA). With mathematical approach, according to requirement we are going to select the suitable web architecture from CWA, DWA and SOA. It means that the process software architecture have some scenario in term of quality attribute. In this paper we haveused thereturn of investments (ROI) for testthe cost of the web architecture.

The identity of resources on the web: An ontology for web architecture

One of the major events that has caused a resurgence in the use of formal ontologies is the advent of the Semantic web, which seeks to do for knowledge representation what the web did for hypertext. Yet while the field of formal ontologies is well-understood, the nature of the web is rather surprisingly cloaked in mystery. Unlike formal computer science, the web is constructed mostly out of informally and operationally defined terms built from various specifications, in particular IETF RFCs and W3C Recommendations. In order to better understand the nature of the 'web' in the Semantic web, we created a formal ontology called the ` Identity of Resources on the web' (IRW) ontology. The primary goal of the Semantic web is to use URIs as a universal space to name anything, expanding from using URIs for web-pages to URIs for "real objects and imaginary concepts", as phrased by Berners-Lee. This distinction has often been tied to the distinction between information resources, such as web-pages and multimedia files, and other kinds of Semantic web 'non-information' resources used in Linked Data. This issue of defining the relationship between URIs and resources is not a mandarin metaphysical matter, but has technical repercussions: the W3C has recommended not to use the same URI for information resources and the resources needed to denote ` non-information resources' for the Semantic web. Basing our work on the normative specifications of the W3C and IETF, we model the relationship between resources and representations formally in an ontology called IRW (Identity and Reference on the web). From our point of view, IRW is a beautiful ontology. In this paper we motivate why we consider it as such through the identification of a number of criteria on which we based our evaluation.

Repeatability but no short-term plasticity in the web architecture of Latrodectus hesperus western black widow spiders (Araneae: Theridiidae)

A spider's web is an extended phenotype and a direct product of behavior. Variation in web architecture may be the result of individual differences in genotype, environment, or experience. We analyzed variation in the web architecture of western black widow spiders, Latrodectus hesperus, by testing two hypotheses: (a) intrinsic individual differences and (b) plasticity according to experience of the site of prey capture. We used treatments manipulating the site of prey capture experienced by the spiders: sheet only, gum-footed lines only, and alternating patterns between sheet and gum-footed lines equally. We found considerable consistent individual variation (repeatability of r = .56) in one web component (gum-footed lines) and negligible plasticity in either component. We discuss our results in terms of the potential for the design of these web components to respond to selection, and of potential additional causes of variation in extended phenotypes.

In response, this study presents a novel and ingenious architectural framework tailored to promote seamless multilingual communication within chat-based application ecosystems. Our proposed architecture combines cutting-edge methodologies and best industrial practices, intricately intertwining web sockets, machine learning translation models, and refined database management strategies finely tuned together to perform the task with the utmost fluidity. Among its key features are user preference storage, real-time message translation, and robust data security protocols. The ubiquity of internet connections has made web applications one of the most widespread means of contents delivery. Indeed, very often they are preferred to applications run locally due to their flexibility, portability, maintainability, and so forth. However, the growth of web contents, and correspondingly of users, has raised critical issues that can be reduced to the required communications between clients and servers and to the consequent overload problems. Between 2015 and 2016, a small group of developers proposed a novel architecture for web applications based on three pillars: JavaScript, APIs, and Markup, named as Jamstack. In particular, Jamstack was founded on the idea of leveraging pre-compiled pages that could be delivered from content delivery networks, and consequently avoiding continuous requests to servers. Since then, the interest of the web community in Jamstack has been continuously growing and nowadays can be considered as an established web development architecture. In this paper, we report on the planning, execution, and results of a mixed-methods empirical study on the maturity of Jamstack, and its adoption. More in general the study is intended to provide a structured and comprehensive assessment of Jamstack in its peak of inflated expectations technology adoption phase. We started with a systematic literature review and from an initial set of 77 studies, we selected 6 primary studies, which we analysed according to a data extraction, analysis, and synthesis process. We used the results of the systematic literature review for building an online survey, which we distributed to 44 practitioners in the web development domain. We extracted, analysed and synthesised the data from the survey and complemented it with qualitative insight from 4 online, semi-structured, in-depth interviews.

A template-based code generator for web applications

The importance and usage of web applications grow every day. Today from small businesses to large-scale corporations, many institutions prefer web applications for both their internal and external services. Code size and complexity of these kinds of applications grow rapidly. This brings up the question of how to improve the development process of web applications. A solution can be to use code generators. This paper introduces a template-based code generator to improve the development process of web applications. The code generator was developed and integrated into a real-life web application. Today, the web application together with the code generator is actively used in industry. This proves that an effective integration of a template-based code generator into a real-life large-scale web application can be achieved. In addition, the effectiveness of automatic code generation to manual implementation was shown with experimentation. Throughout the experiments, bug-free code generation was observed. Also, 98.95% improvement in average development time, 93.97% improvement in average test run count, and 49.37% improvement in average code size was achieved.

webs in vitro and in vivo: spiders alter their orb-web spinning behavior in the laboratory

Many studies of the elegant architectures of orb webs are conducted in controlled laboratory environments that remove environmental variability. The degree to which spider behavior in these circumstances resembles that of spiders in the wild is largely unknown. We compared web architecture and silk investment of furrowed orb weavers Larinioides corium's (Clerck 1757) building webs in laboratory cages and spinning webs on fences in the field and found significant differences. The volume of major ampullate silk in radii was 53% lower in cage webs, primarily because the silk was 50% thinner, but also because spiders tended to spin 14% fewer radii than in fence webs. Cage spiders also invested about 40% less flagelliform silk and aggregate glue in the capture spiral, although the difference was not statistically significant, a trend primarily driven by a decrease in the length of the glue-coated capture spiral. These patterns were consistent with spiders reducing silk investment when building at new web sites while they assessed insect abundance. Differences in the type of substrate for web attachment, amount of available space, and condition may also have influenced web architecture. Cage webs were more symmetrical than fence webs, which displayed an unusual horizontal asymmetry that may have maximized their capture areas within the constraints of the available fence-railing attachment sites. Our findings suggest using caution when generalizing the properties of laboratory-spun webs to more natural conditions. More importantly, they demonstrate that orb spiders actively modify their behaviors when spinning webs under different conditions.

Orb web features as taxonomic characters in Zygiella s.l. (Araneae: Araneidae)

The species classically grouped in the genus Zygiella F.O. Pickard-Cambridge 1902 are thought to all possess a characteristic orb web feature a spiral-free sector in the upper part of the orb. Zygiella s.l. has recently been split into four genera, Zygiella s.s., Leviellus Wunderlich 2004, Parazygiella Wunderlich 2004 and Stroemiellus Wunderlich 2004, and proposed to belong to family Zygiellidae, rather than the classical Araneidae. To find orb web features that could potentially diagnose these species and/or genera, we investigated female web architectures of L. thorelli, P. montana, S. stroemi, Z. keyserlingi and Z. x-notata. We investigated a total of 278 female webs and compared 16 characters emphasizing web size, web and hub asymmetry, as well as radial and spiral counts. The free sector may be present in all species but its prevalence in female webs varied from 41% in Z. keyserlingi to 94% in P. montana. Various combinations of web architecture characters may diagnose those species that in our sample represented all four genera: Zygiella s.s. may be diagnosed by the median number of non-circulating sticky spirals below hub, Stroemiellus by the small web size with small mesh width and the non-circulating spirals above hub, Parazygiella by few primary radii and sticky spirals, and Leviellus by a pronounced vertical hub displacement. This suite of diagnostic features may provide preliminary support for the current taxonomy of Zygiella s.l., although the ultimate test, i.e., a phylogeny, is needed to test the validity of the genera. Seven out of 16 web characters are potentially phylogenetically informative because they show a statistically significant shared variation among species. Our study, which pioneers the quantification of web data to distinguish species, implies that the interspecific variation in webs may turn out to reflect phylogenetic relationships among Zygiella s.l.

Spiral and web asymmetry in the orb webs of Araneus diadematus (Araneae: Araneidae)

Most orb webs are vertically asymmetric with the hub above the geometric center, even though the basic structure of orb webs with concentric sticky spiral loops implies a round shape with the hub in its geometric center. Spiders are known to modify the basic, round web structure to achieve asymmetric webs by placing the sticky spiral loops eccentrically around the hub and by inserting partial sticky spiral loops below the hub. In addition, spiders could increase asymmetry with larger spiral spacing below the hub than above. In the present paper, I analyzed these web modifications quantitatively in webs of Araneus diadematus Clerck 1757. In addition, I assessed the influence of gravity on the different web modifications during web building by laying some webs horizontally during auxiliary and/or sticky spiral building, and I also assessed how the web modifications affected each other during web building. I found that web orientation during auxiliary spiral building influenced auxiliary spiral eccentricity, which in turn had an impact on sticky spiral eccentricity and overall web asymmetry. web orientation, together with web asymmetry and spiral ratio, during sticky spiral building only influenced spiral spacing asymmetry. I conclude that A. diadematus uses the auxiliary spiral as a guiding line during sticky spiral building and that it applies different rules to build the two spirals.

One of the challenging topics to address through the advances made in information technology domain is the management of risk in work environments. This is due to the heterogeneity of issues which should be considered such as technological and social just to name two of the most important ones. In this context the key ideas of web-enabled architectures are approached to face emergencies and risky situations in work places. In the present paper we outline an architectural model based on the web technology which includes wearable-based services in order to improve safety in work environments. Moreover, we discuss several technological and social features related to the proposed solution.
