web of objects (WoO) is an IoT platform, which is an avenue for better support to connect heterogeneous data sources with the web, because of its modular and plug & play nature. This modular and plug & play approach of WoO, is an amazing support towards the adaptions of other concepts and technologies. The better support based on ontology and semantic based knowledge creations helps in context aware IoT services. The one aspect of context aware IoT services, is emotion based IoT services. Because emotion is an important aspect of human life, he takes his actions based on his emotions, so the emotions aware IoT services, assist the human in achieving his daily task and makes his life easier. Our approach of integration of emotion recognition and creation of emotion aware IoT services based on WoO is a novel approach towards affective IoT services in WoO.

Data interoperability is a prerequisite to achieve cross community and cross-application sharing of information and knowledge. Heterogeneous data from multiple sources including semantic and non-semantic data sources (e.g. SNS data, web data, relational data, RDF, XML, CSV, etc.) have an important effect for IoT service provisioning. The data are not in a same type or format always that requires to be processed and transformed into a machine readable semantic format so that systems can understand each other to create and offer services. This paper proposes a framework that considers both semantic and non semantic data sources to process them for data interoperability in web objects enabled IoT environment. WoO is a service platform that provides a resourceful infrastructure to deploy IoT services in the World Wide web environment. For data interoperability, heterogeneous data are transformed following a semantic data schema that has been defined using a standard schema. The heterogeneous data are processed and stored in a knowledge base in RDF/OWL format.

Reducing energy consumption while satisfying user living comfort is a challenging issue in IoT environment for utilities and service providers. Energy consumption needs to be reduced without compromising user comfort that depends not only on current environment condition but also real world knowledge, history data and user preferences. web objects based IoT environment allows objects virtualization and use of semantic ontology to create real world knowledge and applies cognitive functionalities to learn user preferences. web objects based IoT environment allows integration of connected objects and isolation of information from multiple application domains. Depending on user current situation, location, time, history data and future prediction, energy efficiency on WoO make intelligent decision to offer services for user comfort living and reduce energy consumption. This paper proposes an architecture that supports web objects based energy efficiency for smart home IoT services. To realize knowledge-based intelligent IoT services, a use case scenario has been studied.

The vision of internet of things is to connect every object beyond the boundaries of anywhere and whenever for the provision of services from the smart home user to fourth industrial revolution. The objects in the internet of things will be more heterogeneous because of their specialty and accuracy in their domain. Now a days in the Internet of things the data and its machine understanding gets more importance and remain the focal point rather than the objects that generate that data changes frequently due to innovations and their wears and tears. To make the machine understanding, exchanging and sharing information and knowledge;these objects needs a light weight and novel platform for the provision of IoT services in the future. The web of objects is a platform for IoT services because of its service modularity with the support of interoperable microservices and virtualization and granularity of heterogeneous objects through composite virtual objects and virtual objects. To realize the cross domain IoT applications we proposed WoO enabled interoperable microservices architecture and present a reference use case for the implementation.

web of objects Based Ambient Assisted Living Framework for Emergency Psychiatric State Prediction

Ambient assisted living can facilitate optimum health and wellness by aiding physical, mental and social well-being. In this paper, patients' psychiatric symptoms are collected through lightweight biosensors and web-based psychiatric screening scales in a smart home environment and then analyzed through machine learning algorithms to provide ambient intelligence in a psychiatric emergency. The psychiatric states are modeled through a Hidden Markov Model (HMM), and the model parameters are estimated using a Viterbi path counting and scalable Stochastic Variational Inference (SVI)-based training algorithm. The most likely psychiatric state sequence of the corresponding observation sequence is determined, and an emergency psychiatric state is predicted through the proposed algorithm. Moreover, to enable personalized psychiatric emergency care, a service a web of objects-based framework is proposed for a smart-home environment. In this framework, the biosensor observations and the psychiatric rating scales are objectified and virtualized in the web space. Then, the web of objects of sensor observations and psychiatric rating scores are used to assess the dweller's mental health status and to predict an emergency psychiatric state. The proposed psychiatric state prediction algorithm reported 83.03 percent prediction accuracy in an empirical performance study.

web of objects uses a semantic ontology to create and provide knowledge-based Internet of Things services in terms of virtual objects and composite virtual objects. The objects are created through virtualization with the use of semantic ontology to form the virtual objects, where multiple virtual objects are combined to form the composite virtual objects to offer the services. Beacon-enabled web of objects is the extension of the existing web that allows the beacon to broadcast the uniform resource identifier of the real-world object to the nearer mobile devices. Based on the user selection and request, the service is handled and offered by the web of objects platform;thus, an architecture on the beacon-enabled web of objects has been proposed in this article. To offer the knowledge-based services, a knowledge creation model has been presented. To realize the knowledge-based service features on the proposed architecture, a use case scenario has been presented and a conceptual semantic ontology model has been designed. Finally, to assess the features, a prototype has been implemented and demonstrated on the use case scenario.

In a ubiquitous environment, due to continuous change of location of objects, tracking a moving object is a challenging task in intelligent IoT service provisioning. Hence, web-based IoT services can be provided by discovering and allocating only those virtual objects that are directly relevant to current location of the moving object. A semantic ontology is used to virtualize real world objects for interconnection and interoperability among virtual objects in multiple domains. Allocating relevant virtual objects requires prediction of next location of the objects through applying machine learning algorithm. Analyzing service request, prediction and real world knowledge, service request parameters are adjusted to discover relevant virtual objects dynamically as stream-variable dependency. This paper proposes an architecture that supports discovering and allocating relevant virtual objects based on context-awareness to track moving objects.

Nowadays, much research in recent years has focused on IoT (Internet of Things). The home domain is the most important research area of IoT, because there expected accounts of home smart device for over 40 percent of connected device excepting mobile phone. Furthermore, enormous data is generated by home smart device. There is growing concern, but the previous works didn't address enough to manage and analyze home data. The purpose of this study is to describe and examine to manage the aggregated home IoT data based on SWO (Smart home web of objects), and SWO analytics platform. We shows the implementation of SWO analytics platform and a case study using real data from smart metering devices for analysis of appliance usage patterns.

The web of objects (WoO) is realized by small objects which share data with each other and cooperate in groups to meet the composition goals. The WoO needs a centralized system for service composition and orchestration. This paper presents a WoO platform service composition with Devices Profile for web Services (DPWS) environments. We adapt DPWSim which is a simulation toolkit for WoO applications using DPWS.
