This article presents an enterprise knowledge management model in a semantic web application and performs a comparative analysis of the ways to optimize access to semantic data. In the semantic web, inference enables performing queries that make semantic matching based on meaningful relationships among pieces of data. The case study presents a semantic web application managed using the RDF data model and a relational database. The performance of the semantic model is emphasized through the study of the inference methods and of the parallel execution parameters for the queries on the analyzed RDF graph.

This paper describes our attempt at developing web resources for endangered languages. Creating web resources for endangered languages is an important method of developing a language environment for those who speak and those who study the endangered languages. In our study, we propose an approach to creating the web resources for endangered languages. The approach starts with building the ontologies for the endangered languages and creating the mapping to one major language. A framework using the mapping to translate the major language and the endangered language is created. To validate our proposal, we report the process and experiments of creating the web resource translator for translating Yami (an endangered language in Taiwan) to English using the proposed framework.

Online dating apps have become increasingly popular in recent years as a tool for finding partners. However, there is a gap in research on the comprehensive factors that influence users' intentions to prefer online dating apps over traditional means, specifically in Indonesia. The present study thus proposes using web semantic techniques and integrates the technology acceptance model and the theory of planned behavior to get a holistic perspective on predicting users' intentions in online dating. The questionnaires analyzed using SEM-PLS indicate that the attitude toward online dating is positively affected by the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Additionally, attitude, subjective norms, and self-efficacy positively affect the intention to utilize online dating apps. The research thus introduces a consolidated technology to offer new insights and implications for the design and marketing of online dating apps by highlighting the importance of user-friendly interfaces, perceived benefits, social influence, and individual confidence in using the apps.

A negotiation framework for content distribution in mobile transient networks

Transient networks are spontaneous networks that appear for a short period of time in order to provide basic services Such as connectivity and content distribution among a small community. Nowadays mobile devices are becoming multimode by nature providing multiple connection paths. This paper investigates the efficiency and benefit of a mobile transient network where Multiple nodes collaborate, offering a multihomed network with community set-vices by means of intelligent agents. The paper concretely proposes an architecture able to fully Support a peer-to-peer transient community during both negotiation and service steps for two different modes: file download and multimedia streaming. The first mode, implemented on intelligent and cooperative agents, provides two negotiation models (fair and dynamic) in order to guarantee wider flexibility for different possible scenarios and community models;the second one implements a content delivery system into transient community, taking advantage Of multihomed features of mobile devices. This paper is focused on the use of Knowledge Management techniques to develop environments of web-Based Education to leverage the individual learning process for learners. Evolving use of Knowledge Management plays an important role to enhance problem solving skills. Recently, innovative approaches for integrating Knowledge Management into practical teaching activities have been ignored. The knowledge is defined as combination and organization of data and information in given context, and Knowledge Management provides acquire, storage, sharing, application and creation of knowledge objects. A new Architecture for the development of adaptive and intelligent web-Based Education systems is presented. This architecture is based on a Learning Model for Personalized Knowledge Management.

Researchers in the semantic web community have been designing tools and architectures to integrate heterogeneous data originated from distributed sources in the last decade. Technologies, such as RDF, have enabled new data spaces and concept descriptors to define an increasing complex and heterogeneous web of data. To these growing data resource spaces it is necessary to bridge between the different knowledge domains and provide a homogeneous and user-friendly interface. This paper discusses the limitations of some of the existing tools and solutions. The authors also propose a new architecture to integrate, using a mediator and centralised global schema, semi structured heterogeneous sources with large scale of structured data sources, particularly Linked Open Data cloud, and provide a search interface for non-expert users to searching and to accessing to them.

Despite the huge efforts focused on EHR development and massive many years of widespread availability of this latter, health care providers and organizations are still looking for innovative solutions to bring in all IoT data, and unstructured data into electronic health record (EHR) systems. There is a growing need to semantically integrate health-related data from different sources to support decision-making and improve the quality of care services provided. In this paper, we propose a flexible semantic integration framework for IoT, unstructured and structured healthcare data in EHR systems called SF4FI-EHR. It is built on a novel approach that applying semantic web technologies and the HL7 FHIR standard to handle integration challenges. Our experiment results from the proof-of-concept study show that the use of such approach does enhance healthcare data integration as well as overcome obstacles that prevent the optimal exploitation of these data.

In this work we detail the design of the Interpretative Ontology used by the Dynamic semantic Ontological Framework (MODS) proposed in [1]. We also present its use for the characterization of continuous production processes as proposed in [2], specifically for the supervision and diagnosis domain. Thus, with this ontology we can query in natural language on the semantic web using MODS, in the domain of supervision and diagnosis.

Information exchange among different architectures has been a massive challenge from the last three decades. Difficulty usually arises when an ideal model that deals with the precise exchange of data among different architectures is needed. Considering the case of military architecture frameworks on a common battle field, exchange of efficient and most precise information is the key for a perfect decision. Data exchange within different defense nodes is still a challenge. In this paper, we propose a general reference model to integrate different Command Control Communication Computer & Intelligent (C4I) systems operating under different defense forces of different coalition groups involved in a common-battle-field. The purpose of this study is to introduce a general reference model utilizing W3C semantic web Specification technique for meta-data models based on a software engineering method to develop and maintain usable and precise domain ontology in order to overcome interoperability issues of different C4I architectures exchanging information on a common battle field.

The dramatically explosion of data and the growing number of different data sources are exposing researchers to a new challenge - how to acquire, maintain and share knowledge from large databases in the context of rapidly applied and evolving research. This paper describes a research of an ontological approach for leveraging the semantic content of ontologies to improve knowledge discovery in databases. We analyze how ontologies and knowledge discovery process may interoperate and present our efforts to bridge the two fields, knowledge discovery in databases and ontology learning for successful database usage projects.
