In order to improve the localization accuracy, a weighted centroid localization algorithm based on least square to predict the location of any sensor in a WSNs is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm proposes a Least-Square-based weight model which can reasonably weigh the proportion of each anchor node in the unknown node. In the weight model, we utilize least square method to compute the weight. Then, we increase the weight of anchor nodes closer to the unknown node, introduce the parameter k into the proposed likelihood model, and we determine the optimal value of the parameter k through our experiments. Experimental results show that the proposed weightedcentroidalgorithm is better than WCL (weightedcentroidlocalization) and AMWCL-RSSI (anchor-optimized modified weightedcentroidlocalization based on RSSI) in terms of the localization accuracy.

The wearable localization system for wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) is a potential technology to realize rapid diagnosis and treatment of the gastrointestinal (GI). However, the electromagnetic localization accuracy of WCE still needs to be improved. In this paper, based on RSSI electromagnetic fading model, the accurate fitting parameter values are obtained by Kalman filter and the least square method. A novel weightedcentroidlocalization (WCL) algorithm based on exponential weights is proposed, which can achieve high-accuracy localization by using only sparse reception matrix. The simulation results show that when the standard deviation of the localization data is 7.85, the localization root mean square error (RMSE) is 25.4 mm;when the standard deviation of the localization data is 5.475, the localization RMSE is 2.5 mm. These two localization RMSEs are 3838% and 79% less than those of the conventional centroidlocalizationalgorithm, respectively. An experimental platform of wearable wireless communication and localization system using 24 array receiving antennas is developed in human phantom environment. The experimental results show that the wearableWCE electromagnetic localization system based on the proposed algorithm achieves a localization RMSE of 36.3 mm, which is 17% lower than that of the conventional centroidlocalizationalgorithm and meets the needs of clinical diagnosis.

The well known localizationalgorithms DV-hop and centroid location algorithm can be simply implemented in real WSNs. In this paper, we will analyze the drawbacks of these two algorithms and propose a new weighted centroid localization algorithm based on DV-Hop. The proposed algorithm uses weight of anchors to improve localization accuracy. The simulation results show that the localization error of the weighted centroid localization algorithm is smaller than DV-Hop and centroidlocalizationalgorithm.

To specifically target a stationary object, a comparative experiment is designed by using the weighted centroid localization algorithm in the non-ranging location and the least square localizationalgorithm in the location of ranging to determine the target range. To improve the indoor localization accuracy, the centroidlocalizationalgorithm based on Mamdani fuzzy system has been adopted to attain the weight between sensor node and anchor node. This paper proposes a novel optimized input membership function by bat algorithm in fuzzy inference system using the data of received signal strength in real indoor condition. This paper use RSSI wireless sensor network(WSN) to research robot indoor localization method. Location simulation analysis, which is processed by Matlab software, is used to adapt trilateration centroidlocalizationalgorithm(TCLA) and weighted centroid localization algorithm(WCLA). To verify the algorithm positioning accuracy and feasibility, location test system is built in the laboratory. The experiment results indicated that two algorithms both were simple and had high accuracy. They could meet requirement of motive robot or car indoor location. Compared with the two algorithms, TCLA had high location accuracy when reference points less than or equal three. But if reference points are more than three points, WCLA would have a better result. When reference points more than or equal eight, location precision error should be less than 0.0125 meter and location error less than 0.4%.
