Energy crisis and increasing demand for energy is the most important issue in today's world as demand for electrical energy increasing over the years. Conventional energy sources like fossil fuels are not only limited but also hazardous to environment. the production of electrical energy using clean, renewable sources, such as solar energy, wind energy, etc. Owing to the usage of solar energy, it has become necessary to develop some methods for the better use of solar energy. This paper deals with the comparative analysis of various tracking technologies and also gives the performance analysis standalone systems with the hybrid renewable systems for the greater power generation from the non-conventional sources. The solar tracing can be achieved by a arduino controller based method of solar tracking with Light dependent resistors are used as sensors to determine the start and stop point of tracker. The tracking systems may consist of dual axis tracking by using sensors and PIC. The LDR Based stepper motor control performance with PLC control. The MPPT algorithm provides the hybrid systems performance, the aforementioned equations were coded with MATLAB V13.2, compared to experimental data. The model is intended to be used as an optimization and design tool. An Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based controller has been designed and the system is analyzed in terms of the power generation and consumption. The results obtained are encouraging in terms of their stability.

This paper presents the initial stage of developing a rolling robot that can be move on various terrain to assist human in searching landslide victim. This development stage involved the designing of roll mechanism include the wheels' design, mechanical structure and material selection. arduino act as the controller and using the RF signal to manually control the robot. To test the robot, it has to move on different type of terrains and slope for a specific distance to imitate the landslide condition. The speed of wheels is analyzed to imitate the robot performance when moving on various terrains.

This paper discusses about an ongoing project that serves the needs of people with physical disabilities at home. It uses the Bluetooth technology to establish communication between user's Smartphone and controller board. The prototype support manual controlling and microcontroller controlling to lock and unlock home door. By connecting the circuit with a relay board and connection to the arduino controller board it can be controlled by a Bluetooth available to provide remote access from tablet or smartphone. This paper addresses the development and the functionality of the Android-based application (Android app) to assist disabled people gain control of their living area.

Cholesteryl ester liquid crystals were discovered with a new application in sensing traction forces of single cells. The liquid crystal bio-transducer is produced by manual scraping of liquid crystals onto the petri dish, in which the technique is highly subjective to the skill of the user to produce homogeneously spread liquid crystal substrates. This paper describes the development of an apparatus used to produce a liquid crystal substrate using squeegee coating technique. It consists of a biaxial mechatronic system which is synchronously controlled in vertical and horizontal directions scraping the liquid crystal substrates evenly on the surface of a petri dish. The thickness of the liquid crystal was profiled using laser diffraction technique and the homogeneity of the liquid crystal films produced was examined in a crossed-polarizing microscope. At an angular speed of 1500 rpm and under a shear stress of 1.46 +/- 0.72 kPa, the squeegee coating was found producing liquid crystal films at a thickness of 132 +/- 23 mu m on the surface of petri dishes. With the application of this apparatus, evenly spread liquid crystal coatings with control thickness in petri dishes were consistently produced. This has overcome the major problem of manually coating the liquid crystal substrates using a cell scraper.

The growth of pollution is broadening day by day with certain factors that affect the environment and result in the loss of biological degradation. This could be due to rapid industrialization and urbanization. It is directly affecting the health of the people in one way or another and results in the degradation of the population. It is very important to examine the air quality as well as the sound level and put it under govern for a good future and wholesome living for all. The Major decline has been seen in infrastructure and industrial plants and their expeditions growth creating several environmental problems like pollution such as air, water, Noise, climatic changes, atmospherics differences, the glitch that has environment corollary for the requirement of an anatomically adjustable, effectual, affordable and smart monitoring system. Here we design an air quality as well as a sound contamination surveillance system that permits us to observe and check live air peculiarity as well as sound contamination in a specific area through the latest technology IoT. The level of air and sound contamination is growing all of a sudden. To make it in under inspection and surveillance is highly preferred. To conquer this problem, we are establishing a structure through which the growing issue of sound and the presence of dangerous gases in the environment can be identified. The model uses an air sensor and the sound sensor to individually sense the presence of deleterious gases and compounds in the atmosphere and continuously delivered this information to the microcontroller. The increasing pollution suchlike a disquieting appraise has begun making the problem for the peoples. The poisonous compound present in the atmosphere will leave dangerous impacts on the health of human beings and thus required distinctive circumspection. Recently, the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) plays a prominent role in many applications for efficiently monitoring the performance of the system. As the conventional power grid faces multiple issues in the process of power transmission, a smart grid based Internet of Things (IoT), which uses integrated electrical and communication infrastructure is employed in this study. The micro grid using Renewable Energy (RE) resources like wind and solar power is preferred in this work. The major objective of this study is to have perfect monitoring and control of the overall power grid using WSN. By connecting a smart micro grid with IoT, the issue of voltage violation and grid instability caused by power insufficiency is resolved. The IoT-based network integrates grid with the distributed source through WSN, which senses the data and forwards the gathered data to the cloud while taking a backup for future monitoring. Before forwarding, the data is highly encrypted using a hybrid approach known as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4).The hybrid encryption generates improved ratio of transaction success with respect to malicious ratio indicating the secured data transmission preventing the intrusion of hackers. Simultaneously, the secured data is transmitted at high speed by making use of Pulse Coupled Neural Network (PCNN) along with Remora Optimization algorithm. The inclusion of optimization for the effective selection of the hyperparameters of neural network ensures the generation of global optimal solution which in turn enables the efficient identification of shortest path. The hardware in this system uses arduino controller and the proposed approach aids in efficient monitoring of smart grid parameters facilitating uninterrupted power availability.

It becomes essential to run AGV at a constant speed or RPM in the plant to reduce downtime and lead time. Fuzzy logic controller and PID controller are applied to achieve constant RPM in AGV. AGV contains DC brushed motor with encoder, motor driver, microcontroller and battery. Encoder gives feedback to microcontroller in the form of shaft position. Microcontroller reduces error in the system based on the parameters defined by the algorithms. The first phase of the paper gives brief information about the hardware, software and the algorithms. In the second phase of the paper, methodology for implementing the algorithm to the system is shown. In the final phase of the paper, results and discussions are mentioned based on the applied algorithms. Comparison between PID controller and fuzzy PID controller is also shown. Ziegler-Nichols Algorithms is used to find PID parameters. MATLAB simulink and fuzzy logic tool box are used for simulation. arduino Microcontroller is used to accept the feedback given by the encoder and to control the speed of motor. In a nut shell, these control strategies help AGV to run at a constant RPM with reduced settling time, steady state error and overshooting.

Automated liquid filling system with a robotic arm conveyor for small scale industries

Automated liquid filling system is a mechatronic system that has the ability to automatically fill number of container(s) with a liquid to a desired level. This paper presents design and development of an automatic filling system, with a robotic arm conveyor for small scale industries. The overall system is developed using robotic arm and arduino controller. The movement of the robotic arm is managed by gear motors. An IR proximity sensor has been used to sense the presence of the bottle. However, an ultrasonic sensor was used to sense the level of liquid in the bottle. The control of the system is achieved using an arduino micro-controller, arduino Mega 2560. The overall system was tested under various conditions and its working was found satisfactory. In future the IR proximity sensor can be replaced by a limit switch to eliminate errors associated with solid state devices and again a solenoid valve may be used instead of electric pump.
