Electronic multiplex system using the arduino platform to control and record the data of the temperatures profiles in heat storage tank for solar collector

This work aims to build a monitoring thermal system based on low cost and using the arduino MEGA platform. To the temperature, measurements are used thirty (30) digital sensors (DS18B20 Dallas) boarded together using three (3) wires, therefore, requiring the "One Wire" library to allow a correct read in the arduino software. Using the Dallas sensors and the arduino programming, it is possible monitoring the temperatures of up to 100 and twenty (120) different points, thereby significantly reducing electric problems and also the diameter of the thermal probe from uses only three (3) wires. The use of thirty (30) digital sensors significantly reduces the electrical problems and increases the processing speed using the multiplexing through the electrical connection to three (3) wires, called "normal power mode". Using the thermal probe, which is installed, vertically inside the reservoir, it is possible to obtain the temperature graphical points, thus allowing the analysis of thermal stratification. The software used is arduino IDE based in a language called CCS (C, C++ and "Wiring"). The water inside the reservoir stores energy in the form of sensible heat, based on the importance of the thermodynamics analysis result for this research, therefore, with some temperature, data samples obtained in thermal probe are possible to analyze the thermal stratification in the reservoir. The thermal efficiency of the energy stored in the water, either thermally stratified or homogeneous, analyzed to the first law of thermodynamics, it is the same. In the case of the second law of thermodynamics, the heat efficiency to heat homogenized water is less than the thermal efficiency in the stored water thermally stratified in the reservoir and both of them are lower than the first law of thermodynamics.

A correlation analysis of the periodic signal with noise received from the impulse sensor "PulseSensor", using the arduino platform and a signal frequency is determined. The novelty is that the proposed mathematical tool, in contrast to the classical Fourier analysis (development in the Fourier series of the investigated signal for each particular patient), makes it possible to determine the statement of its disease. A simple and reliable methodology (without attempt to present simulated process by a system of nonlinear differential equations that does not apriori accurately reflect the process itself and the exact solution of which in the general formulation is impossible to receive) finding of useful (determinant) signal by the maximum of its correlation coefficient is proposed. Phase discretization is necessary because the starting point of measurement is random, and the correlation coefficient of the investigated and reference signal with a minimum difference of their phases is informally valuable. This approach makes possible to highlight the useful signal at high noise levels which exceeds the level of useful signal.

Diagnosing People at Risk of Heart Diseases Using the arduino platform Under the IoT platform

Using the arduino platform under the Internet of Things (IoT) platform to diagnose individuals at risk of heart diseases. An enormous volume of data focus has been placed on delivering high-quality healthcare in response to the increasing prevalence of life-threatening health conditions among patients. Several factors contribute to the health conditions of individuals, and certain diseases can be severe and even fatal. Both in industrialised and developing nations, cardiovascular illnesses have surpassed all others as the leading causes in the last few decades. Significant decreases in mortality may be achieved by detecting cardiac problems early and keeping medical experts closely monitored. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to accurately detect heart diseases in all cases and provide round-theclock consultation with medical experts. This is due to the need for additional knowledge, time, and expertise. Aiming to identify possible heart illness using Deep Learning (DL) methods, this research proposes a concept for an IoT-based system that could foresee the occurrence of heart disease. This paper introduces a pre-processing technique, Transfer by Subspace Similarity (TBSS), aimed at enhancing the accuracy of electrocardiogram (ECG) signal classification. This proposed IoT implementation includes using the arduino IoT operating system to store and evaluate data gathered by the Pulse Sensor. The raw data collected includes interference that decreases the precision of the classification. A novel pre-processing technique is used to remove distorted ECG signals. To find out how well the classifier worked, this study used the Hybrid Model (CNN-LSTM) classifier algorithms. These algorithms detect normal and abnormal heartbeat rates based on temporal and spatial features. A Deep Learning (DL) model that uses Talos for hyper-parameter optimisation has been recommended. In this proposed work, two prototypes are implemented, one is for smart parking and the other is for monitoring the energy consumption of the same. With the implementation of IoT based Street Light System in the field, nearly 60-70 percent of electricity saving can be achieved as compared to conventional systems. Here, this system is not only controlling the switching of the street lights ON/ OFF but these electricity consumption details can be monitored remotely through another developed prototype. It is demonstrated that for a single pole electricity consumption is nearly 1.2KW load per pole which results in power consumption of 14.4KWh from evening 6:00 PM to morning 6:00AM with conventional system. The implemented system is energy efficient in terms of energy saving which is nearly 9.6KWh can be achieved per day on each pole with same specifications. Moreover, real-time implementation of the proposed system is also demonstrated. IoT is a key technology in healthcare sector for managing, monitoring and controlling the medical devices, services and processes with the basic sensing and actuating components.

The use of experimental activities in physics classes mediated by technological tools allows students to become central and active agents in the learning process, and that presents flexibility of use, low cost, and, at the same time, good precision of physical measurements of fundamental importance in the context of modern education. To contemplate these aspects, we propose a study of a physical pendulum composed of a metal bar and a cylinder that is free to move along the bar and modify the period of oscillation. The experimental apparatus was developed using appropriate supports made in a 3D printer so that the sensor could accurately collect the angular movement of the pendulums. Measurements of pendulu’s period with the change of cylinder position are carried out using a rotary optical encoder, a sensor that can be connected to the arduino platform to measure the angular displacement. The experiment proposed paves the way for investigations of more advanced systems and improvements in data collection modes. © 2025 IOP Publishing Ltd. Time Synchronization in arduino-based Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks have attracted a lot of attention due to their wide variety of applications, ranging from inventory management to battlefield surveillance. In most cases, an accurate time synchronization of the nodes is essential to provide a common time reference and to facilitate coordinated actions. However, important challenges arise when network nodes are clocked by low-cost, low-stability oscillators, besides suffering of strong power consumption and computational capacity constraints. In addition, wireless communication protocols used by those simple nodes often have functional and performance disadvantages. Based on that, this paper presents a synchronization technique for Bluetooth-based sensor networks populated by highly resource constrained sensing nodes. In this paper, the main factors influencing time synchronization are characterized and experimentally validated in a real system, including the Bluetooth communication channels. At the end, the proposed synchronization technique is implemented and evaluated in an arduino-based wireless sensor network, whose motivational application is the localization of acoustic events.

This paper presents a measurement system with capacitive sensor connected to an open-source electronic platform arduino Uno. A simple code was modified in the project, which ensures that the platform works as interface for the sensor. The code can be modified and upgraded at any time to fulfill other specific applications. The simulations were carried out in the platform's own environment and the collected data are represented in graphical form. Accuracy of developed measurement platform is 0.1 pF.

This paper presents the development of a custom-made system for thermal imaging of small electronic systems that is developed using arduino platform and an infrared temperature sensor. The proposed system offers a low-cost solution for laboratory testing of electronic circuits that has good accuracy and flexibility. Experimental results of the suggested prototype show promising performances in comparison to expensive, high quality temperature measurement and thermal imaging solutions.
