In order to solve the problem of global path planning for mobile robot, a global optimization algorithm based on genetic bee colony algorithm is proposed. This algorithm is combining the global optimization strategy of the genetic algorithm and artificial bee colony algorithm. The improved crossover and mutation operator are introduced into the algorithm to increase the diversity of food source, effectively avoiding the swarm into local optimum, improving the ability of search for the food source. Besides, a strategy of adaptive selection has ability to search the optimal food source. A large number of the experiment and comparative analysis are carried out by using grid method in this paper. Experimental results show that this method has high precision and fast convergence speed, and it is an effective method for path planning.

In recent years, renewable energy has been developing rapidly, accompanied by the wide application of distributed generation. AC-DC hybrid microgrid, as a flexible and efficient energy system, is an important and key part of the construction of a new power system. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the economic optimization control strategy of AC-DC hybrid microgrid, aiming at improving the overall operation efficiency and economy performance of the new power system. Firstly, the control mathematical model of AC-DC hybrid microgrid is established, and the output characteristics and load characteristics of different power sources are considered. Secondly, this study proposes an active power control strategy based on equal incremental rate consistency algorithm and an economic scheduling control model considering frequency recovery for microgrid networks, thus realizing the construction of power regulation and control model of microgrid system. Through the improved artificial bee colony algorithm based on Gaussian variation and chaos perturbation, the economic optimization scheduling model is solved and run, and the effectiveness and feasibility of the control strategy is verified by simulation cases. The research results show its capability to significantly reduce the operating cost and improve the utilization rate of renewable energy on the premise of ensuring the stable operation of the system, and provide theoretical basis and technical support for the practical application of AC-DC hybrid microgrid.

In addressing the optimization deployment issues of heterogeneous multi-base sonar systems, this paper establishes a detection performance evaluation model for heterogeneous multi-base sonar systems in complex underwater environments and proposes a hybrid algorithm combining improved harmony search (IHS) and artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm called IHS-ABC. This algorithm draws from the concepts of the IHS algorithm, constructs a source memory, employs a full-dimensional probability selection strategy, and modifies the scouting mechanism. The precision and convergence speed of the algorithm are validated using classic benchmark functions. The algorithm is applied to optimize the deployment of heterogeneous multi-base sonar systems in various marine environments under the criterion of maximum coverage. Simulation results indicate that the optimized detection coverage significantly increased, achieving the goal of optimized deployment and enhancing detection performance.

Microgrid systems are becoming more and more popular and important to supply the power demand locally so that the operation and stability of the regional grid is improved. Additionally, the microgrid system is also required to operate optimally under various scenarios. This paper proposes a minimization for the power generation cost of the islanded microgrid system which is based a chaos artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm. The microgrid system is assumed with diesel generators, wind turbine generators, and fuel cell plants. The numerical results of using the chaos ABC algorithm is compared to the ABC, particle swarm optimization (PSO), and Chaos PSO algorithms. The comparison shows the effectiveness of the proposal.

Passive components such as inductors are used in many radiofrequency integrated circuits (RFIC's). In RF block., like Voltage Control Oscillators (VCO), Mixer., Low Noise Amplifier (LNA)., Phase-Locked Loop (PLL), the spiral inductor design constitutes a very important task to reduce the total system size and assembly cost. The aim of this present work is to design an optimal integrated spiral inductor by means of two swarm intelligence based metaheuristics namely Ant colony Optimization (ACO) technique and artificial bee colony algorithm (ABC). The considered optimization applications uses the physical dimensions of the square spiral-integrated inductor as the design parameters while taking into consideration the most important constraints specifications including the fixed value of required inductance (Lsreq), the operating frequency., and the minimum factor of quality (Qmin). A comparison between the used swarm intelligence (SI) techniques is presented. Simulations using an electromagnetic software (ADS Momentum) are used to validate the obtained result/performances.

In order to solve the problem of reliability deployment of complex electromechanical equipment, the functional relationships between the reliability and cost of each subsystem of complex electromechanical equipment are analyzed in this paper. Moreover, Pareto multi-objective optimization and improved artificial bee colony algorithm were used to solve the reliability optimal configuration model to improve the reliability of complex electromechanical equipment and minimize the development cost, maintenance cost and total cost of the ***, according to the Pareto optimal solution set, the PROMETHEE-II method is used to optimize the reliability deployment scheme of the optimal solution set, and the comprehensive optimal system reliability deployment scheme is obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed method was illustrated by using an equipment example, and the results shown that the total cost of the system can be obviously reducedon the premise of meeting the reliability requirements of the system.

Reactive power optimization (RPO) is an effective way to improve the power balance and reduce the risk of voltage violation in active distribution networks (ADN). However, traditional reactive power optimization methods mainly rely on stationary equipment and ignore the utilization of flexibility resources such as mobile energy storage systems (MESSs). This paper exploits the MESSs to provide localized reactive power support and proposes a day-ahead reactive power scheduling model with consideration of MESSs and conventional reactive power compensators. In the proposed model, the optimal MESS routing in the feeder can be decided and the reactive power output of the MESSs and conventional reactive power compensators can be optimally coordinated to minimize the node voltage deviations in active distribution network. By considering discrete and continuous reactive power compensators, the optimization problem can be solved effectively by the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm due to its strong global searching ability. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated with the IEEE 33-node distribution test system.

The thermal deformation of the electric spindle is one of the key factors affecting the precision of machine tools, and the thermal expansion coefficient is a key parameter that affects the thermal deformation of the electric spindle. The coefficient of thermal expansion is affected by a variety of parameters, showing a strong nonlinear relationship, and there is no precise mathematical model to describe it. In this paper, the artificial bee colony algorithm does not rely on the advantages of precise mathematical model optimization, and the key coefficient in the thermal deformation model of the electric spindle—the thermal expansion coefficient is optimized, and then a thermal deformation model of the electric spindle based on the improved artificial bee colony algorithm is proposed. The simulation experiment results show that the improved bee colony algorithm has improved the optimization accuracy by about 2 times compared with the standard bee colony algorithm, the number of iterations to reach the convergence accuracy is reduced by 10%-16%, and the dynamic optimization capability is strengthened. With the 100MD60Y4 electric spindle as the controlled object, the thermal deformation of the electric spindle at different speeds is studied. Experimental results show that, at a rotational speed of 2000rad I s, for example, based on the amount of thermal experience thermal expansion coefficient and the obtained actually measured thermal deformation of the X, the Y, the Z error in three directions were 0.17m, 0.47m, 1.48μm, the error between the thermal deformation based on the optimized thermal expansion coefficient and the actual measured thermal deformation in the X, Y, and Z directions is 0.02μm, 0.13μm, and 0.56μm, respectively.

In parallel processing, task scheduling is a way to assign task to different processors. A number of algorithms are used by parallel computing so that the time for executing jobs can be minimized. Presently, there are number of algorithms that are utilized for the enhancement of the execution time of task as well as to reduce the energy utilization. In this research, to resolve the energy consumption problem, the concept of load balancing has been introduced along with the artificial bee colony (ABC) and artificial Neural Network (ANN) techniques. ABC is used to optimize the properties of processors based on the appropriate selection of fitness function. On the basis of these optimized properties, ANN is trained and hence balance the load so that energy can be optimized along with minimization of makespan.

Web services are utilized in nearly every aspect of modern life. The maintenance and testing costs of these services are quite high due to difficulties such as automatic service discovery, ultra-late binding, and cost per usage. One way to reduce these costs is to generate test scenarios automatically. However, a large number of requests are generated automatically when testing the application. This causes inefficient resource utilization, particularly due to challenges such as high usage costs. Therefore, it is possible to verify if these randomly generated test scenarios are valid. In this study, the hyperparameters of the deep neural network, in which the inputs of 8 different services are classified as “valid“ and “faulty,“ were optimized with the artificial bee colony algorithm. According to the obtained results, thanks to the hyperparameter optimization carried out using the artificial bee colony algorithm, improvements were achieved in both cross-validation and test values.
