Specificity of the wide QRS complex tachycardia algorithms in recipients of cardiac resynchronization therapy

Background: We assessed the specificity of wide QRS complex tachycardia (WCT) differentiating algorithms in patients with preexistent left bundle branch block (LBBB) and heart failure. Methods: Three hundred fourteen patients with resynchronization devices were retrospectively screened. electrocardiograms with supraventricular LBBB rhythm were used as a surrogate for supraventricular tachycardia QRS morphology. The Pava lead II criterion, ventricular activation velocity ratio (Vi/Vt) ratio in V-2, Vereckei aVR, Brugada, Griffith, and bayesian algorithms were investigated. Results: The WCT algorithms had a lower specificity (33%-69%) in patients with LBBB than in general WCT populations. The Pava lead II criterion and Brugada algorithm had higher specificity than other algorithms (P<.05). Several of the single criteria (absence of an RS complex in V-1 through V-6, initial R wave in aVR, Vi/Vt <1 in V-2) had specificities of 92% to 99%. Conclusions: In patients with heart failure and LBBB, an electrocardiographic diagnosis of ventricular tachycardia should be based on selected, specific criteria rather than on WCT algorithms. The cell allocation problem has long been a obstacle in the modern prison management, the way only depend on the experience of manager is not compatible to the development of modern science. In this paper, two intelligent algorithms are proposed to solve this problem. bayesian algorithm and the algorithm based on optimal distance both can solve it effectively.

In view of the disadvantage of current FAT-based fault diagnosis method in large-scale complicated system, fault diagnosis method of heavy NC machine based on FTA and bayesian is ***, building fault trees with the help of reachability matrix, and to set the determinate conditions at every node of fault tree combining FTA with rule reasoning, the minimum cut set of fault reasons are determined as a result of step by step screening fault tree from top-down;Secondly, bayesian method is integrated into the fault tree diagnostic method to calculate the posterior probability triggered by each fault tree in order to locate the fault tree where the fault had occurred and ensure high efficiency of fault diagnosis;Finally, B/S based intelligent fault diagnosis system for large-scale CNC equipments is developed, and the feasibility and efficiency of this method are proved in an example of fault diagnosis of Φ 160 NC boring and milling machine.

Analyzed bayesian classifier with string, n-gram and API as features, we found that it is very difficult to improve bayesian classifier detection accuracy because selected features are not completely independent. In order to solve this problem, we propose a new improved choose features method which are most representative properties, and show that our method achieve high detection rates, even on completely new, previously unseen malicious executables. Nonlinear Unmixing of Hyperspectral Images Using a Generalized Bilinear Model

Nonlinear models have recently shown interesting properties for spectral unmixing. This paper studies a generalized bilinear model and a hierarchical bayesian algorithm for unmixing hyperspectral images. The proposed model is a generalization not only of the accepted linear mixing model but also of a bilinear model that has been recently introduced in the literature. Appropriate priors are chosen for its parameters to satisfy the positivity and sum-to-one constraints for the abundances. The joint posterior distribution of the unknown parameter vector is then derived. Unfortunately, this posterior is too complex to obtain analytical expressions of the standard bayesian estimators. As a consequence, a Metropolis-within-Gibbs algorithm is proposed, which allows samples distributed according to this posterior to be generated and to estimate the unknown model parameters. The performance of the resulting unmixing strategy is evaluated via simulations conducted on synthetic and real data.

This paper presents two variants of a bayesian algorithm for vehicle localization which use vehicle motion data, a low-cost GNSS receiver, a gray scale camera, and different digital map data. The key idea of the algorithm is not to extract features like points or lines from the camera image for the Bayes update, but to predict entire images. While the first variant performs this image prediction based on explicit landmark information of a digital map, the second variant predicts camera images directly based on aerial images. In doing so, no conversion step from aerial images to feature maps is necessary. Finally, the paper presents results for both approaches based on extensive test drive data with highly accurate reference data.

We address Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) for pedestrians by means of WiFi signal strength measurements. In our system odometric data from foot mounted Inertial Measurements Units are fused with received signal strength (RSS) measurements of IEEE 802.11. To do this, we assign a probabilistic model to RSS measurements, and adopt the bayesian framework on which FootSLAM and PlaceSLAM are based. Computational aspects are also accounted in order to provide a practical implementation of the algorithm. Simulative and experimental examples of WiSLAM are shown to underline the effectiveness of our proposal.

Predicting stimulus-locked single unit spiking from cortical local field potentials

The rapidly increasing use of the local field potential (LFP) has motivated research to better understand its relation to the gold standard of neural activity, single unit (SU) spiking. We addressed this in an in vivo, awake, restrained mouse auditory cortical electrophysiology preparation by asking whether the LFP could actually be used to predict stimulus-evoked SU spiking. Implementing a bayesian algorithm to predict the likelihood of spiking on a trial by trial basis from different representations of the despiked LFP signal, we were able to predict, with high quality and fine temporal resolution (2 ms), the time course of a SU's excitatory or inhibitory firing rate response to natural species-specific vocalizations. Our best predictions were achieved by representing the LFP by its wide-band Hilbert phase signal, and approximating the statistical structure of this signal at different time points as independent. Our results show that each SU's action potential has a unique relationship with the LFP that can be reliably used to predict the occurrence of spikes. This "signature" interaction can reflect both pre- and post-spike neural activity that is intrinsic to the local circuit rather than just dictated by the stimulus. Finally, the time course of this "signature" may be most faithful when the full bandwidth of the LFP, rather than specific narrow-band components, is used for representation.
