Research on displacement measurement of disk vibration based on machine vision technique

The paper proposes a new measurement of displacement based on machine vision technique. It ingeniously makes good use of principle of camera calibration and realizes non-contact measurement of disk vibration. There are mainly two parts during the whole process: first, the intrinsic parameters of the camera used are measured by means of highly precise calibration target, and then the extrinsic parameters of disk are obtained by camera. The displacement variation of the feature points on Z axis will be calculated by extrinsic parameters and the vibration displacement can be acquired by conversion of world coordinates with camera coordinates. Compared with previous methods, it can simultaneously obtain vibration displacement of many feature points on the disk, increase the efficiency and precision of measurement with simple and economic apparatus and wide range of application, thus a convenient, feasible and non-contact displacement measurement. Due to the fast-growing of cooled detector sensitivity in the last years, on the image 10-20 mK temperature difference between adjacent objects can theoretically be discerned if the calibration algorithm (NUC) is capable to take into account and compensate every spatial noise source. To predict how the NUC algorithm is strong in all working condition, the modeling of the flux impinging on the detector becomes a challenge to control and improve the quality of a properly calibrated image in all scene/ambient conditions including every source of spurious signal. In literature there are just available papers dealing with NU caused by pixel-to-pixel differences of detector parameters and by the difference between the reflection of the detector cold part and the housing at the operative temperature. These models don't explain the effects on the NUC results due to vignetting, dynamic sources out and inside the FOV, reflected contributions from hot spots inside the housing (for example thermal reference far of the optical path). We propose a mathematical model in which: 1) detector and system (opto-mechanical configuration and scene) are considered separated and represented by two independent transfer functions 2) on every pixel of the array the amount of photonic signal coming from different spurious sources are considered to evaluate the effect on residual spatial noise due to dynamic operative conditions. This article also contains simulation results showing how this model can be used to predict the amount of spatial noise.

In today's smart world of people images are also gathering good hand in the field of technology. Image Processing is a compressed set of operation of different types of visualization and their virtual analysis. It supports multi-programmed processors, VPUs, and C-programmed generation. Polarization or called it as silicon polarised filters is the upcoming technique for creating the illusion of three-dimensional images by restricting the light that reaches each eye. The emerging concept of Polarization involves light, radiation, or magnetism moving in specific directions. It basically converts a beam of light of undefined or mixed polarization into a beam with well-defined polarization, polarized light. The motivate behind this paper is to analysis the various types of implemented algorithm and proposed optimized algorithm according to new innovative technology and also improving the clarity and recovery of colors in high definition colour-cromed images.

Testing and evaluation of a novel pen input device are presented in this paper. The pen input device could be used to write on any type of surface including desktops, blackboards, or in the air. It is constructed by attaching an inertial/magnetic sensor module to a writing instrument such as a pencil, a marker, or a piece of chalk. The inertial/magnetic sensor module has three accelerometers, three angular rate sensors, and three magnetometers. A tracking algorithm and a calibration algorithm are described. The tracking algorithm is for estimating the pen tip trajectories based on the sensor measurements, and the calibration algorithm is for estimating the relative position of the sensor module on the writing instrument. Experimental results for writing alphanumeric characters are presented. The relationship between tracking accuracy and writing speed is also discussed.

The paper presents a new model for R-2R ladder-based digital-to-analog converters, developed in terms of resistors' tolerance. The widely used R-2R ladders are easy to be realized as an integrated circuit, while their performance is basically limited due to the resistors' mismatch. However, it is possible to achieve higher linearity, in terms of Integral and Differential Non-Linearity errors, if calibration is employed. In this paper, the conventional R-2R ladder architecture is briefly discussed, and then a new digitally calibrated architecture is presented with its calibration algorithm, based on the resistors' tolerance formulation. It has been proven by simulations that the performance of an R-2R-based digital-to-analog converter can be optimized regardless of the resistors' tolerance and the required resolution.

The inevitable capacitor mismatch due to the process variation is one of the major bottlenecks in high-resolution ADC (Analogue to Digital Converter) design. In this work we propose a new compensation strategy which adopts the DEM (Dynamic Element Matching) technique to conventional cyclic ADCs with minimum hardware cost. Theoretical analysis has been done first, and to the best of authors' knowledge, it is the first time that the relation of the capacitor mismatch, output deviation and THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) has been mathematically established. Consequently, the statistical distribution of expected THD under certain mismatch can be derived. Based on that we further analyse the effect of DEM in frequency domain, which effectively performs a harmonic shaping function to the original output spectrum. Simulation results show that the DEM compensation strategy can effectively boost the worst SINAD (Signal to Noise and Distortion Ratio) figure from 68.8 dB to 89.5 dB (99.7% yield) under 0.1% capacitor mismatch and 32x oversampling ratio scenario.

3 Sigma delta PLLs covering an octave have been integrated on one BiCMOS 0.35um CSS (channel stacking switch) chip. The 3 PLLs can work simultaneously synthesizing the same frequencies or different frequencies. To minimize the dynamic coupling among the PLLs a complete calibration algorithm has been implemented while to avoid static coupling a large use of differential structure and other design techniques have been used. The maximum composite spurious (due to PLLs coupling, Xtal spurious and fractional spurs) is -35dBc (in +/-15MHz range). Each PLL has a frequency range from 2.2GHz to 4.4GHz with a worst-case (over process and temperature) integrated rms of 1.2deg at 3.8GHz. The frequency step (31.25KHz) is obtained with a 10bit SD clocked at 32MHz. The single PLL draw 35 mA from 3.8 Volt supply (regulated internally to 2.8 or 3.4 Volt) 2 for 3.2 mm(2).

The quality and accuracy are the two main factors of the performance of the cutting tool which are the particularly industrial standard in every almost factories. In this paper, an optical based non-contact machine tool calibration system is presented. It presents a non-contacted optical measurement system with two 8-channels sensor applied for three-axis machine tool with high-speed data accuracy, establishes system connection, and integrates computer interface with a 32-bit MCU to realize optical measurement system of three-axis machine tool. The communication is based on Ethernet network. Hardware architecture contains four sets of laser light source, photoelectric sensors and spherical lens. With the inexpensive price and uncomplicated steps, it can perform the calibration three-axis motor and static error with above average accuracy.

By using binocular stereoscopic vision and planar images, this paper details the process of obtaining 3D information for interested objects and obtains the world and pixel coordinates of any point on the object. The main contents of this article are focus on camera calibration, image correction, stereo matching, and parallax extraction. Furthermore, various algorithms and implementation methods are studied and analyzed. Finally, by comparing correction and stereo matching algorithms, more effective correction algorithm and matching algorithm are achieved.

The dynamic envelope measurement plays very important role in the external dimension design for high-speed train. Recently there is no digital measurement system to solve this problem. This paper develops an optoelectronic measurement system by using monocular digital camera, and presents the research of measurement theory, visual target design, calibration algorithm design, software programming and so on. This system consists of several CMOS digital cameras, several luminous targets for measuring, a scale bar, data processing software and a terminal computer. The system has such advantages as large measurement scale, high degree of automation, strong anti-interference ability, noise rejection and real-time measurement. In this paper, we resolve the key technology such as the transformation, storage and calculation of multiple cameras' high resolution digital image. The experimental data show that the repeatability of the system is within 0.02mm and the distance error of the system is within 0.12mm in the whole workspace. This experiment has verified the rationality of the system scheme, the correctness, the precision and effectiveness of the relevant methods.
