Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) has emerged as the predominant networking technology and plays an important role in the Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) industry, which requires effective congestion control algorithms to unleash its performance. Since the Data Center Quantized Congestion Notification (DCQCN) protocol was introduced in 2015, it has quickly become the standard congestion control solution across RDMA networks and an essential component of high-speed clusters and data center networks. However, as a congestion control (CC) algorithm that primarily relies on explicit congestion notification (ECN), DCQCN is challenged by delayed bandwidth convergence and sluggish congestion detection. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an optimized congestion control algorithm solution based on DCQCN. Specifically, we propose more accurate switch queue length monitoring, which is divided into two main parts: a congestion detection phase and a congestion control phase. Our algorithm utilizes the change rate of the switch queue length to refine and identify the degree of congestion and adjust the data sending rate after congestion occurs based on this change rate. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves better average flow completion time (FCT) in different scenarios including incast and actual network load, compared with DCQCN and other CC algorithms.

One of the most promising applications of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery is change detection. However, the success of change detection algorithms is highly dependent on the type of change being detected. With the advent of multi-channel SAR systems (multi-frequency and/or polarimetric) new algorithms to improve change detection are being developed to take advantage of the additional information. However, these algorithms are still hindered by the speckle phenomena of radar imaging. Adaptive neighborhood filtering techniques have been shown to be effective to reduce speckle, but the impact on change detection has not been explored. The research presented explores the impact of an adaptive filtering algorithm on the probability of detection for synthesized changes.

In this paper, we propose an automatic shot change detection algorithm using weighting variance and histogram variation. The proposed method consists of the following elements: weighting variance, adaptive threshold and automatic weighting. We obtained better the detection rate than conventional methods based on variance value about 8% and previous approach based on an adaptive threshold maximally about 5.7% in the experiment with the same test sequences. The proposed algorithm will be helpful in various applications which require an automatic shot change detection.

Sea ice change detection from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is important for navigation safety and natural resource extraction. This paper proposed a sea ice change detection method from SAR images based on collaborative representation. First, neighborhood-based ratio is used to generate a difference image (DI). Then, some reliable samples are selected from the DI by hierarchical fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering. Finally, based upon these samples, collaborative representation method is utilized to classify pixels from the original SAR images into unchanged and changed class. From there, the final change map can be obtained. Experimental results on two real sea ice datasets demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over two closely related methods.

This paper deals with the performance analysis of sensors that are employed to detect and isolate changes in an observation sequence and are powered by renewable energy sources. The nature of energy arrival process is stochastic and the available energy needs to be utilized efficiently. The model we consider is an extension of the one by Geng and Lai [1] in which they study optimal power allocation policies for detecting a change in an observation sequence. For this we will first derive an asymptotic lower bound on worst mean detection delay for any detection/isolation algorithm and an arbitrary power allocation scheme. Then we will show that Matrix CUSUM algorithm combined with an immediate power allocation scheme achieves this lower bound and hence is asymptotically optimal. We also provide numerical simulations to augment the theoretical results.

In this paper, we propose a Spark-based fuzzy local information C-Means (FLICM) algorithm that provides synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image change detection. With the volume and resolution of SAR images increasing, current serial clustering algorithms are not suitable to handle big data, scalable solutions are indispensable. The proposed algorithm based on Spark framework implements FLICM algorithm according to MapReduce programming model. The membership degree is obtained in parallel during Map phase where the local information is obtained by broadcasting arrays and clustering centers are obtained during Reduce phase. With a cluster composed of five nodes, experiments on real SAR images show good performance.

In this paper a new approach based on the fusion of Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 products to map urban change detection and to observe suburb's development is presented. The algorithm developed can process data in a fast, automatic and accurate way. To reach this goal, the processing chain uses an iterative multitemporal approach based, for each iteration, on three procedures. The first and second ones are based on Pulse Coupled Neural Network (PCNN) applied to SAR and optical images, respectively, while the third processing is an optical multiband filter, implementing the spectral difference computation. The three outputs of each iteration are fused together by means of a weighted average formulation. The algorithm may deal with multitemporal acquisitions to improve the overall accuracy in the detection of urban changes by the integration of the outputs at different time intervals.

In this paper, we propose an efficient scene change detection algorithm for direct processing of MPEG-2 video bitstreams. The proposed algorithm utilizes the hierarchical structure of the compressed bitstreams and statistical characteristics of the coded parameters, thus greatly reducing computational requirement compared to pixel domain processing with full decompression. Occurrence of scene change is checked first in a GOP level, and if the result is affirmative it is checked again in lower levels: sub-GOP and each picture. We used several metrics for different levels: variance of DC images for I-pictures, number of macroblock types for P-pictures and motion vector types for B-pictures.

We propose a modified IR-MAD based on the generation of synthetically fused images in order to minimize the effect of change detection results corresponding to noise and feature reduction. Synthetically fused hyperspectral images were first generated using a cross-sharpening algorithm. MAD variates according to each pair of synthetically fused images were then calculated to reduce the influence of data noise in the hyperspectral image. In particular, we applied the integration of MAD variates in this study. To evaluate the performance of our algorithm, we constructed a hyperspectral dataset using the Hyperion sensor and analyzed the data noise and bands of principal components.

The paper proposes an information generation and summarisation algorithm to detect behavioural change in applications such as long-term monitoring of vulnerable people. The algorithm learns the monitored subject's behaviour autonomously post-deployment and provides time-suppressed summaries of the activity types engaged with by the subject over the course of their day to day life. It transmits updates to external observers only when the summary changes by more than a defined threshold. This technique substantially reduces the number of transmission required by a wearable monitoring system, both through summarisation of the raw data into useful information and by preventing transmission of duplicated or predictable data and information. Based on evaluation using simulated activity data, the proposed algorithm results in an average of one transmission per month following an initial convergence period (reaching less than 1 transmission per day after only three days) and detects a change in behaviour after an average of 1.1 days.
