A compensation algorithm for Large Element Characterizing the Damage Evolution Process and Its Application to Structure Collisions

When simulating the process from elastic–plastic deformation,damage to failure in a metal structure collision,it is necessary to use the large shell element due to the calculation efficiency,but this would affect the accuracy of damage evolution *** compensation algorithm adjusting failure strain according to element size is usually used in the damage model to deal with the *** this paper,a new nonlinear compensation algorithm between failure strain and element size was proposed,which was incorporated in the damage model GISSMO(Generalized incremental stress state dependent damage model)to characterize ductile *** associated material parameters were calibrated based on tensile experiments of aluminum alloy specimens with *** and experimental results show that the new compensation algorithm significantly reduces the dependence of element size compared with the constant failure strain model and the damage model with the linear compensation *** the axial splitting process of a circular tubular structure,the new compensation algorithm keeps the failure prediction errors low over the stress states ranging from shear to biaxial tension,and achieves the objective prediction of the damage evolution *** study demonstrates how the compensation algorithm resolves the contradiction between large element size and fracture prediction accuracy,and this facilitates the use of the damage model in ductile fracture prediction for engineering structures.

A new solution procedure for the fault-analysis problem is proposed. The key lies in the application of the rank-oriented compensation algorithm. This enables a network-modification setup with the lowest possible dimension and, after further manipulation, serves for a computational procedure with the lowest number of substitutions which must be performed to obtain the reduced systems. For faults that are commonly studied, the rank of the modifications for the distinct sequence networks is 1 or 2. The necessary algorithms are summarized in an appendix.

Purpose Due to the deformation between the pylon and the girder caused by single tension of cables, the previously tensioned steel strands have stress relaxation, resulting in the actual cable forces being less than the design cable forces. To compensate the stress loss caused by the single tension of cables, this paper aims to present a practical compensation algorithm of stress relaxation during the construction period. Design/methodology/approach From the perspective of the essential cause of the stress relaxation, finite element analysis is used to solve the tension control force of each steel strand after a rigorous theoretical formula derivation. Findings The deformation and tension control force of each steel strand decrease with the advance of the tension sequence, and the decline rate drops gradually. However, the calculated force values of the steel strand are in good agreement with the measured value as the cable length decreases. Originality/value The previous rough calculation methods for the tension force of steel strands cannot meet the accuracy, and the accurate calculation methods often include the solution of nonlinear equations, which complicate the calculating process. Otherwise, there are few studies on the compensation of stress loss by calculating the deformation of the steel strand during the tension process. So, it developed an accurate and efficient algorithm to determine the tension control forces.

The infrared temperature sensor has a small thermal inertia, which could be used to measure the temperature of the moving object or the fast changing temperature. It is widely used in modern industry, military and medicine. Planck's law points out that the infrared temperature measurement is based on the infrared radiation of normal radiation as a standard measure. However, due to the actual measurement environment and cost constraint, there usually exits a changed incident angle between infrared sensor and measured object in the case of actual infrared measurement. A compensation algorithm of incident angle on temperature measurement is the focus of this paper. Facing the surface temperature measurement and cooling system of roller in aluminum plate manufacturing process, the paper put forward and designed a real-time temperature measurement scheme based on infrared sensor. Through experimental study and data analysis, the paper has explored the influence law of the incident angle in the infrared temperature measurement of the surface. Inthemeantime, because this article selects the strong reflective body as the research sample, and selects the low-temperature as the temperature measurement, so the research should overcome the interference of the physical properties of strong reflective sample and the complex nature of low temperature inaccurately measured. Though summing up the research achievements, the paper set up an incident Angle compensation algorithm, which is used to solve the influence of the incident angle on the temperature measurement result. The results of this study are of great significance to the application for accurately measure the surface temperature of strong reflector with infrared sensors.

Piezoelectric 6-dimensional accelerometer cross coupling compensation algorithm based on two-stage calibration

In order to improve the measurement accuracy of the 6-dimensional accelerometer, the cross coupling compensation method of the accelerometer needs to be studied. In this paper, the non-linear error caused by cross coupling of piezoelectric six dimensional accelerometer is compensated online. The cross coupling filter is obtained by analyzing the cross coupling principle of a piezoelectric six-dimensional accelerometer. Linear and non-linear fitting methods are designed. A two-level calibration hybrid compensation algorithm is proposed. An experimental prototype of a piezoelectric six-dimensional accelerometer is fabricated. Calibration and test experiments of accelerometer were carried out. The measured results show that the average non linearity of the proposed algorithm is 2.2628% lower than that of the least square method, the solution time is 0.019382 seconds, and the proposed algorithm can realize the real-time measurement in six dimensions while improving the measurement accuracy. The proposed algorithm combines real-time and high precision. The research results provide theoretical and technical support for the calibration method and online compensation technology of the 6-dimensional accelerometer.

Error compensation algorithm for SRF-PLL in Three-Phase Grid-Connected Converters

This paper proposes an error compensation algorithm based on synchronous reference frame phase-locked loop for accurate phase estimation of the distorted three-phase voltages including asymmetrical phase voltages, harmonics, and dc offset. These errors cause undesirable periodic ripples with grid frequency in the traditional PLL and significantly degrade the overall performance of the grid-connected converters. In this paper, the effects of the errors are comprehensively analyzed in the stationary and synchronous reference frames. In particular, the errors are estimated and compensated by controlling the alpha-axis and beta-axis components in a PLL to be balanced. The proposed compensation algorithm can be implemented by some integral operations followed by simple Integral-controllers. The performance and robustness of proposed compensation technique are investigated under distorted grid conditions. The proposed technique is numerically and experimentally verified using Matlab/Simulink and Dspace1202 control board platform.

Time synchronisation has been extensively used in wireless sensor networks in many contexts, such as data fusion, TDMA schedules and synchronised sleep periods. Precision is the basic requirement for time synchronisation in wireless sensor networks. Existing time synchronisation methods were not designed to deal with dynamic environment changes. In this paper, we propose an error compensation algorithm which is designed to compensate errors caused by hardware clock drift and environment changes. The algorithm works according to a level hierarchy: the nodes in each level have the same hop and linear regression is adopted to analyse clock drift. The compensation mechanism decreases the instability caused by crystal oscillators and eliminates errors accumulated during running time. The algorithm is implemented on the SIA2420 platform using TinyOS and the results show the reliability of our algorithm.

Design of delay compensation algorithm in remote auction network for digital art works

Aiming at the problem of delay and packet loss in current remote network, a delay compensation algorithm for high-speed network is studied and applied to the remote auction of digital art works. High-speed network delay mainly includes: transmission processing delay, waiting delay, transmission delay, and reception processing delay. The delay model of high-speed network is designed by using a time division multiple access protocol. Based on the high-speed network delay model, the Kalman filter is used to design the high-speed network delay control algorithm to maintain the high-speed network delay. At the same time, the round-trip delay compensation algorithm based on link delay is used to compensate the high-speed network delay. The experimental results show that the proposed method compensates the delay of more than 235 ms, and the packet loss rate of high-speed network is only 0.59%, and the throughput reaches 241 Mbit/s, which validates the algorithm can effectively compensate the delay of high-speed network and reduce the packet loss rate of high-speed network.

We propose a taper thread compensation algorithm that considers the taper thread tilt state and tooth distortion to address the problem of low accuracy of taper thread inspection by machine vision. The analysis of the taper thread inspection process reveals the reason for the low accuracy of taper thread inspection, and the mathematical modeling of the taper thread is established according to the spatial geometric relationship. The experiment shows that the compensation rate of the algorithm is 80% of the base median, 70% of the thread half-angle, and 85% of the bottom width of the thread compared with that before the compensation, and it has less influence on the large diameter and pitch.

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) ventilator is designed based on compensation algorithm and Automatic Regulation. With the use of patient status and system changes in the environment, breathing machine through the compensation algorithm will be dynamically adjusted accordingly. The compensation algorithm, taking into account regional differences in altitude, the pressure, masks and flow loop caused by the pressure of the gas leak and pressure conditioned lack of progressive features. MPC5554 is chosen as the main processor in the system for its high integration and precision. It has several interfaces to communicate with external devices. In the process of designing, some modules are customized. Compared with similar products, the volume and weight are decreased and the cost is reduced.
