The sub-pixel allocation is a key technology for achieving high-precision measurement for micro electro mechanical system(MEMS). In this paper, a novel sub-pixel compensation algorithm based on an improved gradient algorithm utilized in a rough sub-pixel position is proposed to compensate the insufficient accuracy extracted by the surface fitting. And compared with traditional gradient used in the integer pixel, the proposed algorithm can reduce the error introduced by abandoning the higher order term without using iteration and second-order Taylor formula. The experimental results show that the displacement parameters calculated by the proposed algorithm is more accurate, and the method has a good noise resistance, it can meet high-precision positioning of MEMS motion image.

In dual-polarized channel, the BER performance of polarization modulation (PM) can be decreased by cross-polarization discrimination (XPD) effect which can introduce cross power leakage. Therefore, a XPD compensation algorithm for PM is proposed. Based on the analyses about the effect of XPD on PM, the compensation factor is obtained by the channel state information. Then by compensating the state of polarization of the received signals, the cross power leakage between two orthogonal components of the states of polarization is mitigated, and the constellation distortion of PM is reduced. The analyses reveal that the compensation algorithm can effectively improve the BER performance of PM affected by XPD. Finally, simulation results show that when the XPD is a definite value, to achieve equivalent BER performance of 2PM, the SNR needed is 2.5dB reduction after compensation.

According to the characteristics of the commonly used wind measuring ultrasonic sensor NU150E25TR in the market,the main reasons for the error are *** characteristics of several main nonlinear compensation algorithms such as linear regression method,least square method and fold line method are compared,and the measured data of single chip microcomputer are used as samples,and the conditions of order and mode are fitted according to different *** error of these algorithms is compared and *** test results show that the piecewise fold fitting method is both simple and effective to reduce the compensation *** the same conditions,the accuracy is higher than the linear regression method and the least square method.

Investigation on the Dispersion compensation algorithm in Optical Fiber Communication with Large Capacity

Optical network faces increasing challenges with the development of telecommunication demand. The fiber must carry much more transmission channels with higher optical power and transmission rate and it causes higher dispersion. At present, people have proposed some technical solution for this problem, including the dispersion compensation fiber (DCF), midpoint spectral inversion, dispersion managed transmission, chirped fiber grating (FBG), and so on. But algorithm with higher compensating efficiency is still needed. In this paper, we propose a modified algorithm to compensate the dispersion. With the simulation method, we obtained the characteristics of dispersion and dispersion slope with the variation of wavelength lambda, and some useful conclusion has been acquired. With the increasing of wavelength lambda, dispersion and its slope coefficient have different variation disciplinarian. From the simulation results, we can verify the conclusion that it needs to optimize the design of the structure of optical fiber if we want to compensate the dispersion and dispersion slope simultaneously.

Wearable and Thermal Drift-Compensated Monitoring System Based on Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors for a 3D-Printed Foot Prosthesis

Monitoring foot prostheses is essential, as their performance impacts users' daily lives. Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors represent a gold standard in monitoring applications, but traditional optoelectronic units are too cumbersome for wearable applications. This research addresses this issue by using a lightweight and compact optoelectronic unit and developing a compensation algorithm to overcome the signal drift phenomena caused by the light source instability. The proposed method uses an FBG as a reference to provide the algorithm with information on the signals drift. The developed algorithm is based on the assumptions of linearity among drift in different detection channels and the absence of drift at the initial time instant. The compensation variable was experimentally identified and validated. Experimental validation through temperature tests showed the algorithm reduces the drift error by 60%. Finally, mechanical tests were conducted on a foot prosthesis equipped with two FBGs: one used as a reference and the other for strain sensing. An electrical strain gauge was used to validate the FBG-based sensing system. The results of the mechanical tests indicate the possiblity to monitor a foot prosthesis using FBGs. The FBG and strain gauge measurements comparison aligns with previous studies where high-performance optoelectronic units were used.

Aiming at the poor location accuracy caused by the harsh and complex underground environment,long strip roadway,limited wireless transmission and sparse anchor nodes,an underground location algorithm based on random forest and compensation for environmental factors was ***,the underground wireless access point(AP)network model and tunnel environment were analyzed,and the fingerprint location algorithm was *** then the Received Signal Strength(RSS)was analyzed by Kalman Filter algorithm in the offline sampling and real-time positioning ***,the target speed constraint condition was introduced to reduce the error caused by environmental *** experimental results show that the proposed algorithm solves the problem of insufficient location accuracy and large fluctuation affected by environment when the anchor nodes are *** the same time,the average location accuracy reaches three meters,which can satisfy the application of underground rescue,activity track playback,disaster monitoring and *** has high application value in complex underground environment.

Photoelectric detection algorithm for football bounce rate measurement based on horizontal displacement compensation

A photoelectric detection algorithm for measuring football bounce rate based on horizontal displacement compensation has been developed. This algorithm is able to correct the horizontal movement of a free falling object affected by breeze or wind. The horizontal deviation between the football center and the gravity line during the first free fall was calculated, according to which test passes were determined. If a test satisfies the passing standard, then the first rebound height was compensated by horizontal displacement. A previously developed football bounce rate detector was used for experiments, and the results showed that the football bounce rate photoelectric detection algorithm based on horizontal displacement compensation can effectively overcome the impact of a range of breeze or wind, and the absolute detection errors were within the range of 1%.

In the pursuit of automating the entire underground drilling process in coal mines, the automatic rod feeding technology of drilling robots plays a crucial role. However, the current lack of positional accuracy in automatic rod feeding leads to frequent accidents. To address this issue, this paper presents an algorithm for compensating positioning errors in automatic rod feeding. The algorithm is based on a theoretical mathematical model and manual teaching methods. To enhance the positioning accuracy, we first calibrate the pull rope sensor to correct its measurement precision. Subsequently, we establish a theoretical mathematical model for rod feeding positions by employing spatial coordinate system transformations. We determine the target rod feeding position using a manual teaching-based approach. Furthermore, we analyze the relationship between the theoretical rod delivery position and the target rod delivery position and propose an anisotropic spatial difference compensation technique that considers both distance and direction. Finally, we validate the feasibility of our proposed algorithm through automatic rod feeding tests conducted on a coal mine underground drilling robot. The results demonstrate that our algorithm significantly improves the accuracy of rod feeding positions for coal mine underground drilling robots.

A Denoising Method Based on Pulse Interval compensation for High-Speed Spike-Based Image Sensor

In order to eliminate the noise on the pulse interval of high-speed spike-based image sensor, a pulse interval compensation (PIC) algorithm is proposed. Based on the analysis of the principle of sensor noise generation, a pulse interval error model is constructed and the compensation algorithm is developed. First, raw pulse data is obtained from the sensor system, and then the coefficient matrix is used to compensate the non-uniform pulse interval caused by the dark current. Then, the guided filter separates high-frequency noise from scenes details and the pulse interval compensation matrix is obtained in the corresponding pulse interval. Finally, the pulse interval compensation is performed on the raw pulse data for correction. In static scene experiments, the proposed method is compared with the existing state-of-the-art methods and shows a clear advantage in denoising in both low texture and rich texture scenes. In the experiment to film a turntable at a rotation speed of 2000 r/min, 3000 r/min, 6000 r/min, the average roughness decreases from 0.2830 to 0.2034, 0.2937 to 0.2139 and 0.3252 to 0.2501 respectively. These experiments proved that the proposed method can effectively eliminate the noise of the spike-based image sensor.

Thermal deformation compensation in the molding of aspheric glass lenses

Generally, aspheric glass lenses are manufactured using a glass molding press (GMP) method and a tungsten carbide mold core. This study analyzes the thermal deformation that occurs during the GMP process, and the results were applied to compensate an aspheric glass lens. After the compensation process, the form accuracy of aspheric glass lenses improved from similar to 3.7 to similar to 0.35 mu m. The compensated lens complied with the actual specifications.
