When an image of a 3D object is transmitted or recorded, its range image as well as its grey-scale image are required. In this paper, we propose a method of coding for efficient compression of a pair of range and grey-scale images of 3D objects. We use Lambertian reflection optical model to model the relationship between a 3D object shape and it's brightness. Good illuminant direction estimation leads to good grey-scale image generation and furthermore effects compression results. A method for estimating the illuminant direction and composite albedo from grey-scale image statistics is presented. We propose an approach for estimating the slant angle of illumination based on an optical model from a pair of range and grey-scale images. Estimation result shows that our approach is better. Using the estimated parameters of illuminant direction and composite albedo a synthetic grey-scale image is generated. For comparison, a comparison coding method is used, in which we assume that the range and grey-scale images are compressed separately. We propose an efficient compression coding method For a pair of range and grey-scale images in which we use the correlation between range and grey-scale images, and compress them together. We also evaluate the coding method on a workstation and show numerical results.

For cloud storage management and security of images, more and more attention is paid to reversible data hiding in encrypted images (RDH-EI). This work proposes a RDH-EI method based on a novel compression coding that can vacate more space for data hiding. To improve the embedding capacity, several most significant bits (MSB) of an original image are firstly predicted in turn to generate the corresponding prediction bit-planes, and then the XOR operation and a shorter variable-length coding are designed to further decrease the coding length of the prediction bit-planes. The proposed scheme can achieve a larger embedding capacity and real reversibility and lossless decryption. Experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed method outperforms other RDH-EI schemes, including embedding capacity, reversibility and the ability against the cipher-only attack.

Due to the phenomenon of object occlusion and inconsistent motion of different objects in video, high-efficiency compression and coding of video data will generate prediction residuals related to texture structure. To solve this problem, this study proposes an efficient compression coding method for multimedia video data based on CNN. First, the multimedia video coding unit is divided, and the coded frames are arranged in POC order for coding. Then, the coding structure adjustment parameters are calculated, and after coding, the determined reference frame and the bit consumption caused by using the reference frame can be obtained. Finally, an intra-prediction algorithm for video data is established based on CNN. CNN encoder uses a series of down-sampling convolution and ReLU nonlinear mapping to extract and fuse global information, and conducts analysis on areas with low human visual sensitivity on the HEVC transform domain. Frequency coefficient suppression. The experimental results showthat the method has good coding performance for test sequences with different contents and different resolutions.

This paper presents a scheme of intellectual property protection of hardware circuit based on digital compression coding technology. The aim is to solve the problem of high embedding cost and low resource utilization of IP watermarking. In this scheme, the watermark information is preprocessed by dynamic compression coding around the idle circuit of FPGA, and the free resources of the surrounding circuit are optimized that the IP watermark can get the best compression coding model while the extraction and detection of IP core watermark by activating the decoding function. The experimental results show that this method not only expands the capacity of watermark information, but also reduces the cost of watermark and improves the security and robustness of watermark algorithm.

The Influence of Optical Alignment Error on compression coding Superresolution Imaging

Superresolution (SR) imaging technology based on compression coding has always been considered as the key to break through the geometric resolution of the detector. In addition to factors such as the reconstruction algorithm and mounting platform vibrations, the impact of inherent errors in the optical system itself on the reconstruction results of SR imaging is also obvious. To address this issue, a study on the design of the SR optical system and the influence of optical alignment errors on SR imaging was conducted. The design of the SR optical system based on digital micro-mirror device (DMD) for long-wave infrared wavelength was completed, and an athermal analysis of the system was carried out. The design results showed that the SR optical system has good imaging quality in the operating temperature range. The imaging model of the DMD SR imaging optical system is established according to the designed SR optical system. We investigated the influence of various alignment errors, including decenter, tilt, lens interval error and defocus, on the imaging properties of the SR optical system. Various random combinations of alignment errors were introduced into the optical system, respectively, and the SR reconstructed image quality of the imaging system was analyzed using the inverse sensitivity method to obtain the tolerance limits when the system was assembled. Finally, the effectiveness of the method to obtain the alignment tolerance limit of the compression coding SR imaging optical system was verified through a desktop demonstration experiment.

Separable high-capacity reversible data hiding in encrypted images based on multiple predictive compression coding

Reversible data hiding in encrypted images (RDHEI) is a well-established technique in which additional information is embedded to ensure data imperceptibility and full reversibility. For RDHEI, how to utilize more redundant space to improve the embedding capacity (EC) under the premise of true reversibility is still a challenging task. We propose a separable RDHEI scheme based on multiple predictive compression coding. The image is classified by texture complexity based on gray level co-occurrence matrix. For different blocks, adaptive weight prediction (AWP) and global optimization adaptive weight prediction (GOAWP) are proposed to improve prediction accuracy. More importantly, GOAWP solves the problem of inaccurate prediction of texture block. Furthermore, methods based on pixel difference compression, pixel bit-based difference compression, and block plane-based difference compression are proposed to vacate more embedding space. The proposed scheme is separable. For the content owner, above two predictors and three compression methods are adopted to vacate space for hiding. For the data hider, the secret bits are embedded into the encrypted image by directly replacing the spare bits without obtaining any information of the original image. For the receiver, the desired information can be retrieved according to the key in his/her possession. By taking full advantage of the pixel correlation and multiple predictive compression coding, the proposed method successfully achieves a significant improvement in capacity. Experimental results show that the highest payload of our scheme reaches 3.6185 bpp, which exhibits appreciated EC in comparison with state-of-the-art methods. A Biblock Wavelet Zero Tree coding for Hyperspectral Imagery Data compression

In this paper, a biblock zero tree compression coding (BBZTC) method, based on wavelet zero tree compression coding (ZTC), is used to exploit redundancy in hyperspectral imagery data. Because of ZTC scanning every wavelet zero tree coefficients with low efficiency, BBZTC method outperforms ZTC in the aspects of high compression ratio, simple real-time implementing, and higher coding/decoding speed, and convenient real-time transmission. The experimental results show that this method can obtain the compression ratio 17～40 times of 224 spectral bands to remove the spectral correlation without any coding by using KLT, and the total compression performance of KLT+BBZTC method is better than the method of KLT and other one dimensional transformation (such as DCT) to remove the spectral correlation. To compare with the total compression ratio of KLT+JPEG method and SFCVQ method, this method reaches 180 at the PSNR of 33.6 db. This method is superior to the present any other method at compression rate.
