Vertical Vibration of the Vehicle Model with Higher Degree of Freedom

New method of solution of the motion equation of the mechanical system with higher degree of freedom is applied on the investigation of the vertical vibration of the vehicle. Mechanical model is composed from three spatially elastically supported and bounded bodies. Model represents the chassis of railroad vehicle with elastic and dissipative elements. Proposed method enables to determine the vertical displacement of the arbitrary point of the system.

A new approach for measurement of pitch, roll and yaw angles based on a circular feature

This paper presents a simple, yet very effective approach to measure the three types of rotation angles by the method of imaging analysis. This approach is suitable for many actual applications, such as head pose tracking, vehicle monitoring, robotic operation, etc. In this paper, a circular feature is fixed on the object, which can do the rotational motion. By measuring the rotational angles of the circular feature based on perspective projection, we can obtain the object's rotational angles. We deduce the computation methods of the pure pitch, roll and yaw angles. Then we propose the methods of computing the pitch, roll and yaw angles in complex situations, which are different from the computation methods of pure pitch, roll and yaw angles. Based on the approach proposed in this paper, some experiments are conducted and the results show that the approach can achieve good performance when the rotation angles are in the scope of +/- 90 degrees.

Bursting layer with irregular barriers on surface was a new composite bursting layer that had already caused people's attentions about protective engineerings all over the world.A simplified computation formula of penetration depth for yaw-inducing bursting layer with irregular barriers on surface impacted projectile with probability was presented on the basis of computation method of penetration depth for normal impact or oblique *** influencing factors such as the attack angle, angular velocity, impact attitude of projectile and the uncontrolled free surface of target were synthetically considered for the computation formula by introducing the influencing coefficient of oblique impact and the influencing coefficient of yaw-inducing layer with normal *** was shown that the value of influencing coefficient of oblique impact was decreased with both impact angle and initial attacking angle increased, and also increased with impact velocity *** value of influencing coefficient of yaw-inducing layer was decreased with impact velocity *** results of the simplified formula were in good agreement with the test datum, it was indicated that the simplified computation formula could be used to accurately estimate the penetration depth for yaw-inducing bursting layer with irregular barriers on surface impacted by projectile.

In order to accurately estimate the anti-penetration capacity of yaw-inducing bursting layer with irregular barriers on surface impacted by projectile,the theoretical model of attack angle and angular velocity for projectile impacting on irregular barrier was achieved according to the macroscopic relation of contact force versus contact time,in which the main factors such as the relative geometrical characteristics of projectile and irregular barrier,material property and impact velocity of projectile influencing on yaw-inducing effectiveness were *** the basis of considering synthetically the influences of attack angle,impact velocity,impact angle of projectile and uncontrolled free surface of target,the theoretical formulation of penetration depth for bursting layer with irregular barriers on surface impacted by projectile was presented by expressing the stress of an optional point on the nose of projectile according to the relation of stress versus *** theoretical results indicate that in the case of oblique impact embodying effect of attack angle,the penetration depth is reduced with the increase of impact angle,attack angle or angular velocity,and penetration trajectory is also deflected *** effectiveness of angular velocity influencing on penetration depth is increased with impact velocity *** theoretical results are in good agreement with test data for low impact velocity.

A structure with "changeable boundaries", changed from construction stage to service stage, is a new design idea used in long span spatial structures. The inner force distribution will be more reasonable and the structure self-weight will be lighter, if the idea is adopted. Adoption of the idea enables the inner force distribution of the structure changing from the construction stage to the service stage. Although the time of the inner force changing is much short, it has a significant influence on the loading behavior and the construction cost of the structure. As an example, a simple beam with different boundaries (unchangeable and changeable), under uniformly distributed lateral loads, is analyzed in this paper. Through static analysis, the loading behavior of the beam under three different boundaries, including simple support, fixed support and changeable boundary, is compared. The linear buckling behavior of the beam with changeable boundaries is also investigated. The critical equilibrium equation is derived subsequently for computing the critical stability load. A new computation method for the beam with changeable boundaries is proposed.

In view of the issues of computational method combined execution that need parameters transfer in the process of complex product engineering analysis, the execution principle and parameter file formats of computational method are discussed. Through parsed the computational parameters, the mapping relationship among multi-computational methods are established and parameters passing between computational methods is realized. A product design analysis environment system, called PDAE, is developed. With the application of PDAE in the analysis process for CFB boiler and turbo-generator, the feasibility and validity of the approach proposed is demonstrated.

Cooperation resistance coefficient is an important factor to effect of the firm cooperation. The research status and influencing factors of the cooperation resistance coefficient were analyzed. By the calculation of general income and general cost, this paper discusses the detailed process to compute the cooperation resistance coefficient. On the basis of these discussions, the method to compute the cooperation resistance is put forward. The multi-enterprises' cooperation resistance is also brought out. At last, the conclusions of this paper are given.

AN EFFICIENT computationAL APPROACH TO A CLASS OF MINMAX OPTIMAL CONTROL PROBLEMS WITH APPLICATIONS

In this paper, an efficient computation method is developed for solving a general class of minmax optimal control problems, where the minimum deviation from the violation of the continuous state inequality constraints is maximized. The constraint transcription method is used to construct a smooth approximate function for each of the continuous state inequality constraints. We then obtain an approximate optimal control problem with the integral of the summation of these smooth approximate functions as its cost function. A necessary condition and a sufficient condition are derived showing the relationship between the original problem and the smooth approximate problem. We then construct a violation function from the solution of the smooth approximate optimal control problem and the original continuous state inequality constraints in such a way that the optimal control of the minmax problem is equivalent to the largest root of the violation function, and hence can be solved by the bisection search method. The control parametrization and a time scaling transform are applied to these optimal control problems. We then consider two practical problems: the obstacle avoidance optimal control problem and the abort landing of an aircraft in a windshear downburst.
