The basic principle of Grey incidence analysis is to judge compactness of sequences according to the extent of geometry similitude between data curves. By Grey incidence analysis, we can find the osculation extent between system behaviors data. Since Prof Deng established this analysis method in 1980's, some computation methods are developed, but according to the four Grey incidence axioms developed by Prof Deng, there is all more or less unseemliness in these computation models. Based on the theories of Grey incidence theory, in this paper we summarize firstly several representative Grey incidence computation models of present. Then, we point out their shortcomings respectively and review them simply. Furthermore, seeing into the meaning of Grey incidence axioms, we establish a new computation model of Grey incidence degree ----- Integrated model, which considers the absolute differences and relative differences of data sequences and gets over the shortcomings of present models. Lastly, we prove this computation model to be scientific and to satisfy the four Grey Incidence Axioms, and then with this model we analyze the outsource of firm's resource.

The semantic similarity computation is very important in many applications that need to process text data. Because ontology can provide explicit concept specification, we establish an ontology-based semantic similarity computation model. This model quantifies the semantic similarity between concepts considering the semantic distance, concept level and the overlapping degree between sets of the hypernyms and hyponyms. The association between the semantic distance and concept level is also presented so that the number of parameters is reduced. The final experiment results demonstrate that this model is effective, and the accuracy is improved without any dependency on corpus.

Particles deposition on surfaces directly affects the transmittance of PV panels, which leads to the decrease of performance of PV modules. This paper introduces a kind of overlapping model proposed by NASA, analyses the effect of the shape and size distribution on transmittance, and verifies it by test data of relevant references. Then a computation model on different incident angles is studied, whose result is compared with another model's. It demonstrates that this computation model can accurately calculate the effect of particle deposition on transmission of photovoltaic panels. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. Gamma is a programming model where computation is seen as chemical reactions between data represented as molecules floating in a chemical solution. Formally, this model is represented by the rewriting of a multiset where rewrite rules model the chemical reactions. Recently, we have proposed the gamma-calculus, a higher-order extension, where the rewrite rules are first-class citizen. The work presented in this paper increases further the expressivity of the chemical model with generalized multisets: multiplicities of elements may be infinite and/or negative. Applications of these new notions are illustrated by some programming examples.

In the equivalent transformation (ET) computation model, a specification provides background knowledge in a problem domain and defines a set of queries of interest. A program is a set of prioritized transformation rules, and computation consists in successive reduction of queries using meaning-preserving transformation with respect to given background knowledge. We present a formalization of the ET model from the viewpoint of program synthesis, where not only computation but also program correctness and correctness relations are of central importance. The notion of program correctness defines "what it means for a program to be correct with respect to a specification," and a correctness relation provides guidance on "how to obtain such a program." The correctness relation of the ET model is established, based on which how the basic structure of the ET model facilitates program synthesis is discussed together with program synthesis strategies in this model.

In this paper, we propose a decentralized parallel computation model for global optimization using interval analysis. The model is adaptive to any number of processors and there is no need to design an initial decomposition scheme to feed each processor at the beginning. The work load is distributed evenly among all processors by alternative message passing. Numerical experiments indicate that the model works well and is stable with different number of parallel processors, distributes the load evenly among the processors, and provides an impressive speedup, especially when the problem is time-consuming to solve.

The Latency-of-Data-Access (LDA) model is a realistic computation model of parallel architectures for existing and future computers. The LDA model captures the fact that the computation performance is mainly limited by the speed of the memory system. Data movements are considered as direct accesses to certain levels of the memory hierarchy. The amount of those movements combined with the costs of calculations lead to the runtime of an application. Furthermore, the determined latencies can be used to determine the contention caused by concurrent tasks. For different architectures of parallel machines a contention analysis is presented examplarily. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

A hierarchical model for distributed collaborative computation in wireless sensor networks

In-network collaborative computation is essential for implementation of a large number of sensor applications. We approach the problem of computation in sensor networks from a parallel and distributed system's perspective. We define COSMOS, the Cluster-based, heterOgeneouS model for Sensor networks. The model abstracts the key features of the class of cluster-based sensor applications. It assumes a hierarchical network architecture comprising of a large number of low cost sensors with limited computation capability, and fewer number of powerful clusterheads, uniformly distributed in a two dimensional terrain. The sensors are organized into single hop clusters, each managed by a distinct clusterhead. The clusterheads are organized in a mesh-like topology. All sensors in a cluster are time synchronized, whereas the clusterheads communicate asynchronously. The sensors are assumed to have multiple power states and a wake-up mechanism to facilitate power management. To illustrate algorithm design using our model, we discuss implementation of algorithms for sorting and summing in sensor networks.
