To ensure operator safety and to achieve the safe monitoring task of live working technology, safety monitoring programmes based on sensor technology have attracted a lot of attention. Lidar can accurately sense the depth information of objects, however, its original point cloud is sparse, which is difficult to meet the requirements of safety distance monitoring accuracy. In view of the loss of the operator's edge position characteristics caused by the angular resolution of LiDAR, we propose a point cloud densification method that integrates the visible light information of the target object, and implements accurate depth complementation of the operator's area in the sparse depth map, so as to obtain a more complete three-dimensional point cloud of the operator, and to provide a reliable data base for the over-boundary warning task of the safety distance monitoring system.
