For overcoming the low convergent rate and high mean square error of constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and utilizing the advantages of the Fractionally Spaced Equalizer (FSE) containing lots of channel information, a Cascaded Blind Equalizer based on CMA (CBE-CMA) is proposed. The proposed CBE-CMA is a combination of Baud Spaced Equalizer based on CMA (BSE-CMA) and T/2 Fractionally Spaced Equalizer based on CMA (T/2-FSE-CMA), uses T/2-FSE-CMA as its first level and employs BSE-CMA for its second level. Owing to the ability of the CBE-CMA to compensate for the distortion of channel, to suppress inter-symbol interference, and to recovery transmitted sequence twice, so it outperforms BSE-CMA and T/2-FSE-CMA in improving convergent rate and reducing mean square error. The efficiency of the proposed CBE-CMA is proved by computer simulation with multi-path water acoustic channels.

Impulse noise is a major performance degrading factor, as it impairs the communication systems, such as mobile radio system, digital subscriber line system, and power line. Various constant modulus algorithms (CMA) were introduced to reduce the average of constantmodulus error between the constantmodulus and the equalizer output power in the impulsive noise environment. However, the existing blind learning methods generate large misadjustment and slow convergence rate in the impulse noise of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system. To solve the impulse noise problem, the blind equalization method named Robust Adaptive Autoregressive weighted constant modulus algorithm (RAAWCMA) is introduced in this research work for MIMO system. Due to the feasibility and simplicity of stable convergence property, the proposed Robust Adaptive Autoregressive weighted constant modulus algorithm for blind equalization is utilized to solve the complexity of impulse noise in MIMO system. The proposed blind equalization method increases the performance of equalization by adjusting the weight vector based on the samples of output error. Moreover, the maximum average value obtained by the proposed algorithm is revealed based on the evaluation metrics, like Bit Error Rate, Symbol Error Rate, and Mean Square Error which acquire the values of 0.0005, 0.0005, and 0.0001 with the Rayleigh channel, and 0.0004, 0.0004, and 0.0001 with the Rician channel using six antennas.

In Passive coherent location (PCL) radar using FM signal as emitter of opportunity the multipath propagation from transmitter to the reference antenna strongly decreases the radar detection ability. Thus, multipath removal from reference signal is a very important stage of signal processing in radar system. Since the FM signal with constant envelope is used the commonly known constant modulus algorithms suit very well for this purpose. In this introductory paper, we propose to use a block least squares constant modulus algorithm which has better convergence properties then the conventional LMS-type algorithm presented in literature. It appears as very appealing alternative since in further applications (not presented in this paper) it will very likely enable to achieve satisfactory results with less amount of data (signal samples).

It has been proved that the blind equalization using constant modulus algorithm (CMA) is a possible solution for channel inversion in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing/offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OFDM/OQAM). However, the existing solution does not consider the residual interference that remains after equalization, and which is inherent to this type of modulation. In this paper, we propose to reconsider the value of the dispersion parameter in the update algorithm by taking into account this interference in order to enhance the blind equalization performance. The improvement of the CMA in OFDM/OQAM by means of the proposed change of parameter is demonstrated through both theoretical and numerical results.

A new series equalizer based on constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and Decision-directed (DD) algorithm is proposed to overcome Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) much better in the communication system without the aid of training sequences. The proposed equalizer uses the CMA as the forward filter and DD algorithm as the back filter. These two filters are series and operate concurrently. It makes full use of the advantages of the CMA's "eye-opened" ability and DD's superior convergence performance. Therefore the proposed equalizer obtains not only the faster convergence and lower residual error but also the ability of phase rotation-compensated. Computer simulations with underwater acoustic channels are presented and the simulation results are shown to prove the efficiency of the proposed equalizer.

This paper studied one improved algorithm based on momentum factor constant modulus algorithm(MCMA) to solve this problem, momentum factor was added to the weight vector iteration formula of CMA to improve the convergence speed. theoretical analysis and simulation showed that: in the case of the same equalization effect, the MCMA converges faster than the traditional constant modulus algorithm, and also different momentum factors have different convergence effects. The larger the momentum factor, the better convergence effect in the defined domain of the momentum factor.

An adaptive digital filter algorithm that can optimize the signal-to-noise ratio of an antenna array with multiuser signal inputs is presented in this paper. These synchronous communication signals have the constant envelope property and are transmitted through a multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) linear channel. This multiuser constant modulus algorithm (MU-CMA) using an antenna array can compensate for both interuser (IUI) and intersymbol interference (ISI). The method is derived by minimizing the cost function of the constantmodulus signals as well as cross-correlations between them. The simulation result at the end of this paper shows the performance of this algorithm.
