Automated assessment of Chinese subjective questions is a crossed research direction on linguistics, natural language processing (NLP) and related disciplines. In this paper, we focus on correcting political subjective questions, and based on the analysis of the manual scoring process, a novel automatic scoring framework is created. It mainly includes two parts. Firstly, we represent the sentence semantic by an unsupervised model that involves a weighted average of the word vectors. Then, we propose a correction algorithm which combines keywords matching and semantic similarity computation. Comparison between the results made by our framework and the teacher proves reasonableness of the model.

The raw output of a generic infrared vision system, based on staring arrays, is spatially not uniform. This spatial noise can be much greater than the system NETD, and determines a strong drop in system performance. Therefore we need to model all system non-uniformity (NU) sources to highlight the parameters that should be controlled by optical and mechanical design, the ones depending on the focal plane array and those that can be corrected in post-processing. In this paper, we identify the main NU sources (optical relative irradiance, housing straylight, detector pixel-pixel differences and non linearity), we show how to model these sources and how they are related to the design and physical parameters of the system. We then describe the total signal due to these sources at the detector output. Applying different NUC algorithms to this signal, the final results on the image can be simulated finding a proper correction algorithm. At the end we show the agreement between the model with the experimental data taken on a real system. Changing a limited set of parameters, this model can be applied to many third generation thermal imager configurations.

This paper briefly discusses the working principle of synthetic aperture microwave radiometer system. Through the system sensitivity and repeatability test, The sensitivity and repeatability of the system are obtained. Based on the test, a correction algorithm for calibration error of calibration network sensitivity and receiver repeatability is proposed, which can be used to calibrate the data in different environments on the satellite and provide the basis for the future onboard calibration.

The spectral broadening by Rayleigh backscattering can cause large changes in water vapor echo signals, causing errors when the water vapor concentration is inversed by differential absorption lidar（DIAL）. A correction algorithm is proposed to revise the errors due to the effect of laser spectral broadening. The relative errors of water vapor are calculated in cases of different aerosol distribution and temperature changes before and after correction. The results show that measurement errors due to the Doppler broadening are more than 5% before correction and a 2% measurement error after corrected for the case of a smooth, background aerosol distribution. However, due to the high aerosol gradients and strong temperature inversion, errors can be up to 40% and 10% with no corrections for this effect, respectively. The relative errors can reduce to less than 2% after correction. Hence, the correction algorithm for Rayleigh Doppler broadening can improve detection accuracy in HO DIAL measurements especially when it is applied to high aerosol concentration or strong temperature inversion.

A base station for BDS/GPS dual-mode pseudorange differential correction based on Cortex-A9 core and a BDS/GPS dual-mode pseudo-range differential correction based on Cortex-M4 core are constructed. This paper discusses and applies the mathematical model of pseudo-range differential correction positioning result and error elimination method. The test results show that under the real-time dynamic conditions, the BDS/GPS dual-mode pseudo-range differential correction algorithm, the plane direction is better than 0.5m and the elevation direction is better than 1.0m under dynamic conditions, and the positioning accuracy is significantly improved. © 2019 IEEE.

Models of word alignment built as sequences of links have limited expressive power, but are easy to decode. Word aligners that model the alignment matrix can express arbitrary alignments, but are difficult to decode. We propose an alignment matrix model as a correction algorithm to an underlying sequence-based aligner. Then a greedy decoding algorithm enables the full expressive power of the alignment matrix formulation. Improved alignment performance is shown for all nine language pairs tested. The improved alignments also improved translation quality from Chinese to English and English to Italian.

The paper introduced here illustrates a technique which has been especially designed to deal with a page containing slanted Arabic handwritten text-lines and shows the way we suggest to deslant it. A reliable slant correction algorithm based on using combination of both projection profile technique and the Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD )are incorporated and used for this purpose.

3D technologies such like three-dimensional television and free viewpoint television have caught enormous attentions in the consumer market recently. However, because of the inaccurate camera configuration and environmental constraint, there are errors in the assumed equally-spaced camera intervals. In this paper, we propose a novel camera spacing correction algorithm to detect the spacing errors among the multiple cameras by making the corresponding points co-linear in the epipolar plane images. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms are robust and can achieve good performance even if the corresponding pixels are not well detected. Meanwhile, our algorithm can be solved by convex optimization with an extremely low complexity.

A flexible approach on pulsed wire magnetic measurement method

The Pulsed Wire (PW) method offers a promising solution for performing local magnetic field measurements in undulators that have limited access that restricts traditional Hall-Probe (HP) measurements. With this technology, undulators can be designed with a closed frame structure, becoming more compact and cost *** the same time, the PW method suffers from intrinsic error sources which can impact the quality of the magnetic field measurements and therefore losing confidence in its results. This paper provides a flexible framework for calculating the magnetic field, correcting for the dispersion effect and the pulse shape. This framework is used to correct experimentally collected pulsed wire data and compare them against Hall-probe measurements for the same magnetic field.

A high dynamic range pulse counting detection system for mass spectrometry

RATIONALEA high dynamic range pulse counting system has been developed that demonstrates an ability to operate at up to 2e8 counts per second (cps) on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. Previous pulse counting detection systems have typically been limited to about 1e7 cps at the upper end of the systems dynamic range. Modifications to the detection electronics and dead time correction algorithm are described in this paper. METHODSA high gain transimpedance amplifier is employed that allows a multi-channel electron multiplier to be operated at a significantly lower bias potential than in previous pulse counting systems. The system utilises a high-energy conversion dynode, a multi-channel electron multiplier, a high gain transimpedance amplifier, non-paralysing detection electronics and a modified dead time correction algorithm. Modification of the dead time correction algorithm is necessary due to a characteristic of the pulse counting electronics. RESULTSA pulse counting detection system with the capability to count at ion arrival rates of up to 2e8 cps is described. This is shown to provide a linear dynamic range of nearly five orders of magnitude for a sample of aprazolam with concentrations ranging from 0.0006970ng/mL to 3333ng/mL while monitoring the m/z 309.1m/z 205.2 transition. This represents an upward extension of the detector's linear dynamic range of about two orders of magnitude. CONCLUSIONSA new high dynamic range pulse counting system has been developed demonstrating the ability to operate at up to 2e8 cps on a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. This provides an upward extension of the detector's linear dynamic range by about two orders of magnitude over previous pulse counting systems. Copyright (c) 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
