A reputation evaluation method based on multi-dimensional information representation and correlative algorithm is proposed for open multi-agent systems. First, a vector model is estab- lished to represent the reputation related information. Second, a vector based reputation model "TRUST" is put forward to evaluate the reputation of agents. Finally, a correlative algorithm for se- lecting the most appropriate service provider is proposed. Simulation results indicate that the method can quickly and accurately to achieve the aim of adaptive immunity to reputation fraud and improving the average gain that service consumer agents obtained.

Collective cell migration is an important process that determines cell reorganization in a number of biological events such as development and regeneration. Random cell reorganization within a confluent monolayer is a popular in vitro model system for understanding the mechanisms that underlie coordination between neighboring cells during collective motion. Here we describe a simple automated C++ algorithm to quantify the width of streams of correlated cells moving within monolayers. Our method is efficient and allows analysis of thousands of cells in under a minute;analysis of large data sets is therefore possible without limitations due to computational time, a common analysis bottleneck. Furthermore, our method allows characterization of the variability in correlated stream widths among a cell monolayer. We quantify stream width in the human retinal epithelial cell line ARPE-19 and the fibroblast cell line BJ, and find that for both cell types, stream widths within the monolayer vary in size significantly with a peak width of 40 mu m, corresponding to a width of approximately two cells. Our algorithm provides a novel analytical tool to quantify and analyze correlated cell movement in confluent sheets at a population level and to assess factors that impact coordinated collective cell migration.

The aim of this paper is to design a set of amplitude modulation transmitting signal to solve the multiple values calculation of the time difference. The frequency characteristics of ultrasonic probe and the amplitude frequency characteristic of different duty cycle square wave are researched and tested. We cleverly combine the logic device FPGA with the property of the ultrasonic probe to achieve the amplitude modulation waveform in the circuit design. Cross correlator is the core device of the cross-correlation flow measurement system. This paper describes the theory of the cross-correlation flow measurement system and realizes the digital correlator for flow measurement based on field programmable gate arrays (FPGA). The correlation algorithm is realized by verilog language, and the result of Modelsim simulation shows that this correlator can be used to calculate the cross functions of random signal. The Matched correlation filter based on FPGA is designed for quasi real-time processing of impact acceleration signal in this paper. The design integrates match-filtering algorithm with correlation algorithm, proposing matched correlation algorithm. According to this algorithm, the design uses two Radix-4 FFT modules to complete the correlation operations, using single sine wave as matching model signal which has better correlation with impact acceleration signal. Furthermore, a re-sampling module and data integration module are added for the stability and reliability of signal processing. The filter was simulated and demonstrated by Modelsim for its good quasi real-time processing and reliability.

This paper proposes an improvement for the standard algorithms used to correlate the radiated emission measurements performed in a gigahertz transverse electromagnetic (GTEM) cell to measurements performed at an open area test site (OATS). The improvement compared with standard correlation algorithms lies in the ability to use literally all data measured. This is achieved by using nonlinear regression models in order to estimate the amplitudes of a multipole model. Assuming equally phased dipole moments and using nine measurements, numerical simulations indicate significant superiority of this new algorithm in comparison to the standard approach. The results can be improved further by using additional measurements. The simulation results show strong evidence that the algorithm also provides precise results for the amplitudes, if not all components of the dipole moments are in phase. Experiments with a real-world test object further validate the method.

To measure the wave-front aberration, the Shack-Hartmann(SH) wave front sensor(WFS) is used in most adaptive optics(AO) systems. The accuracy of the centoid(Center of gravity) detecting of sub-images plays an important role in the performance of SHWFS. Normally the centriods of the point source spots are estimated to determine the local wave-front slopes by a center-of-gravity (CoG) algorithm. However the CoG algorithm suffers from several weaknesses. At first, there are few situations when a standard point source is available, such as situations with strong atmosphere disturbance and low flux. Secondly, CoG suffers significantly from CCD read-out noise. Instead of the traditional CoG, the correlation algorithm to estimate the wave-front slopes is used here, and the main characteristics of this method is analyzed. Analytical results predict this correlation approach presents better linear and robust performance. Moreover both simulation and experimental data from a point source based indoors experiment are carried out to verify the expected conclusions. The result agrees well with the simulation analysis.
