Weighted MUSIC algorithm based on delay correlation is proposed because of the problem that MUSIC algorithm has low DOA estimation performance in actual system. The proposed algorithm makes full use of delay correlation information of impinging signals to improve estimation performance. We obtain a new receiving data matrix which has the same array manifold with original data by observing association between delay correlation function with array manifold. In fact, the number of sample data is limited, so its estimation performance was limited. Weighted matrix is introduced in this paper to optimize the estimation performance, and it constructed a new spectrum function which is called weighted MUSIC algorithm based on delay correlation(DC-WMUSIC algorithm). The use of weighted matrix has enhanced the orthogonality of signal subspace and noise subspace. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm offer high flexibility and robust in DOA estimation.
