A method for determining the layout of a yaw system based on the delphi method and the analytic hierarchy process

The healthcare sector faces significant challenges in adopting big data analytics, primarily due to the complex interplay of various socio-technical factors that influence successful implementation. While prior research has identified numerous factors affecting big data analytics adoption, there is limited understanding of their relative importance in the healthcare context. This study aims to identify and prioritise the critical socio-technical factors influencing big data analytics adoption in healthcare through expert consensus. A four-round delphi study was conducted with ten experts representing diverse stakeholders including academics, data scientists, healthcare practitioners, and top management. The study employed a comprehensive framework encompassing person, technology, organisation, environment, and task dimensions. The results revealed that analytical skills, knowledge, and experience were the most critical person-related factors. In the technology dimension, system reliability, and data quality emerged as top priorities, while organisational support, funding, and infrastructure were identified as crucial organisational factors. The study also highlighted technological advancement and government regulations as key environmental factors, with task reliability emerging as the most significant task-related factor. The study offers a comprehensive understanding of the relative importance of various social-technical factors, thereby enabling more focused and effective big data analytics adoption strategies in healthcare settings.

Development of an evidence-based nursing practice program for preventing unplanned endotracheal extubations in the intensive care unit: A delphi method study

AimsThis study aims to develop an evidence-based nursing practice program to prevent unplanned endotracheal extubation (UEE) among adult patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). DesignThis study uses the delphi method to develop an evidence-based nursing practice program. methodsA comprehensive review of 18 databases and evidence-based websites was conducted to gather, assess and synthesize evidence on preventing UEEs in adult patients. Using this synthesized evidence, a questionnaire was formulated for further investigation. Subsequently, input was solicited from experts through delphi surveys to establish an evidence-based nursing practice protocol for preventing UEEs in adult ICU patients. Consistency in consultation results guided subsequent rounds of consultation. ResultsThe developed program comprised 43 evidence items categorized into nine dimensions, including risk assessment for unplanned extubation, sedation, analgesia, delirium, balloon management, psychosocial care, early extubation, catheter immobilization and protective restraints. Two rounds of expert inquiry yielded recovery rates of 94.7% and 100% for the first and second questionnaires, respectively. Kendall W values ranged from .224 to .353 (p < .001). ConclusionThis study developed an evidence-based nursing practice program to prevent UEE in adult ICU patients, employing evidence-based practices and delphi expert consultation methods. However, further validation of the program's effectiveness is warranted. Reporting methodFindings were reported according to the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research checklist. Patient or Public ContributionNurses contributed to the study by participating in investigations. Implications for the Profession and Patient CareThe program developed in this study offers an evidence-based framework for preventing unplanned extubation in hospitals, thereby reducing its incidence and enhancing the quality of nursing care.

Constructing educational content for neonatal palliative care: A delphi method and needs analysis

Background: High-risk newborns face significant mortality risks and potential for recovery, making neonatal palliative care essential. However, existing neonatal palliative care education for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurses often prioritizes end-of-life care and overlooks family involvement and long-term management needs. Aim: To develop and prioritize neonatal palliative care educational content tailored for NICU nurses, addressing gaps in current curricula and supporting family-centered, evidence-based practice. methods: A three-round delphi survey was conducted to identify key educational topics for neonatal palliative care, followed by a cross-sectional online survey to assess NICU nurses' perceived performance and importance for each topic. Participants included 148 NICU nurses from tertiary hospitals in South Korea with over six months of experience, excluding those with administrative roles. Educational needs were analyzed using the Locus for Focus model, Borich needs analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis. Results: This study identified 66 educational topics grouped into five domains: "Physiological care," "Familycentered care," "Continuity of care," "Nursing professional development," and "Multidisciplinary team approach." High-priority topics included balancing critical and palliative care, managing stress, and navigating ethical challenges. Family-centered care was emphasized throughout the NICU stay, emphasizing family involvement in care, guidance on growth and development, and addressing social challenges. Continuity of care post-discharge was also highlighted, particularly rehabilitation, bereavement support, and community health resources. Conclusion: This study offers a robust framework for developing evidence-based neonatal palliative care educational programs. Cold-climate fruit trees, such as avocado, blackberry, curuba, lulo, and goldenberry, are economically and socially significant in Andean countries. This study employs foresight methodologies to support strategic planning, prioritize innovations, and reduce uncertainty in decision-making within this agro-industrial chain. Scenario analysis and the delphi method were applied, analyzing 34 variables using MICMAC, identifying nine as key. Three future objectives were formulated and assessed with key stakeholders through MACTOR software. Cross-impact matrices and five hypotheses guided the construction of a preferred scenario, evaluated using SMICProbExpert software. In the delphi method, experts reviewed 77 topics across five thematic categories, prioritizing 31 critical technologies and innovations. Artificial intelligence and Python-based natural language processing validated the results, ensuring analytical rigor. The findings provide a strategic framework for aligning efforts and resources with key variables, future objectives, and projected scenarios. This supports the development of targeted projects, policies, and innovation strategies, fostering an environment conducive to open innovation. By promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange, this approach enhances technological advancement and sustainable growth in the sector, with a long-term vision toward 2035.

BackgroundClinical supervision of clear aligner treatment in extraction patients is essential during the long process of follow-up period. However, there is insufficient clinical guidance available to define the key points of a standard examination for clinical *** initial index system was constructed based on a comprehensive literature review. The final indexes to be used in the system were determined through delphi process. Weightings for the final index system were determined using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which required the development of a judgment matrix to assess the relative significance of each index through pairwise *** tiered indexing system was created, consisting of two primary indexes, 10 secondary indexes, and 30 tertiary indexes. The expert authority coefficient (Cr) was 0.89 for the first round of consultation and 0.91 for the second round. The weighting values for the first-level indexes 'tooth movement' and 'dentofacial health' were 0.38215 and 0.61785, respectively, thus indicating that dentofacial health holds greater *** integrated both qualitative and quantitative analyses to establish a novel index system for clinical supervision of clear aligner treatment in extraction patients to reduce the incidence of complications.

Estimating weight for multidimensional health poverty using delphi method and analytic hierarchy process: a case of China

BackgroundTraditionally, poverty assessment has relied on a single income criterion, which is inadequate in contexts where absolute poverty has been mitigated. This study developed a weighting scheme for the Multidimensional Health Poverty Index (MHPI) based on sustainable livelihood framework (SLF), aimed at enhancing the accuracy of poverty identification in *** two-round delphi process was used to determine the indicators of the index system. The weight of each indicator was calculated using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. The multidimensional poverty index incorporates SLF's five dimensions: financial, natural, physical, social, and human *** initial 46 indicators formed an indicator pool for the delphi questionnaire. Based on the final consensus of the expert panel, the delphi consultation resulted in an index system comprising six first-level and 23 second-level indicators. The weight values of the first-level indicators (economic security, health status, education, social capital, healthcare utilisation, and living conditions) were 0.2715, 0.2593, 0.0855, 0.0657, 0.1812, and 0.1363, *** study established a scientific and effective index to evaluate generate weight for estimating multidimensional health poverty in China. Development of a basic evaluation model for manual therapy learning in rehabilitation students based on the delphi method

ObjectiveManual therapy is a crucial component in rehabilitation education, yet there is a lack of models for evaluating learning in this area. This study aims to develop a foundational evaluation model for manual therapy learning among rehabilitation students, based on the delphi method, and to analyze the theoretical basis and practical significance of this *** initial framework for evaluating the fundamentals of manual therapy learning was constructed through a literature review and theoretical analysis. Using the delphi method, consultations were conducted with young experts in the field of rehabilitation from January 2024 to March 2024. Fifteen experts completed three rounds of consultation. Each round involved analysis using Dview software, refining and adjusting indicators based on expert opinions, and finally summarizing all retained indicators using *** effective response rates for the three rounds of questionnaires were 88%, 100%, and 100%, respectively. Expert familiarity scores were 0.91, 0.95, and 0.95;coefficient of judgment were 0.92, 0.93, and 0.93;authority coefficients were 0.92, 0.94, and 0.94, respectively. Based on three rounds of consultation, the model established includes 3 primary indicators, 10 secondary indicators, 17 tertiary indicators, and 9 quaternary indicators. A total of 24 statistical indicators were finalized, with 8 under the Cognitive Abilities category, 10 under the Practical Skills category, and 6 under the Emotional Competence *** study has developed an evaluation model for manual therapy learning among rehabilitation students, based on the delphi method. The model includes multi-level evaluation indicators covering the key dimensions of Cognitive Abilities, Practical Skills, and Emotional Competence. These indicators provide a preliminary evaluation framework for manual therapy education and a theoretical basis for future research.

Introduction: Metacarpal fractures are viewed as minor injuries, potentially leading to reduced hand function and productivity, especially in working-age people. The study aimed to develop and finalise a second to fifth metacarpal fractures clinical hand rehabilitation ***: A three-round edelphi method, employing REDCap questionnaires and informed by a previous clinical hand rehabilitation guideline, facilitated expert consensus. Experience and qualifications guided expert selection. Consensus was defined as 75% or more experts selecting four or five on a Likert scale or 'yes' in 'yes/no' questions. Open-ended responses were incorporated, following Conducting and Reporting of delphi Studies ***: Fifteen experts specialising in hand injury management, including orthopaedic surgeons, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, were invited to participate, with attrition of one expert in three rounds. In Round 1, 10 (28.5%), Round 2, 6 (18%) and Round 3, 16 (36%) guideline statements were accepted. Consensus was reached for including grasp types in rehabilitation;activities of daily living (ADLs) types under light, medium and heavy categories;time when early active mobilisation should commence and splint types after conservative management, K-wires and surgical ***: The finalised clinical hand rehabilitation guideline based on the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM) framework may benefit occupation return.
