The detection rate of the unsupervised change detection algorithm is affected by the incorrect identification of the unchanged and changed pixels. The reduction of such false pixels in the binary change map is still a challenging issue. This work aims to reduce false pixels by combining Gabor features and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) features. First, log transform is applied to input Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. Next, a Difference Image (DI) is generated using subtraction operator. Then, 2-D Gabor wavelet transform and PCA are employed to extract the features from the DI. Further, both features are combined to produce the final feature vector. Finally, a two-stage clustering technique is used to obtain change map. Experiments have been carried out on San Francisco and Bern datasets. The proposed method produces less overall error (768 and 271) as well as higher kappa values (0.9153 and 0.8775) for the two datasets.

Recent years have witnessed the growth of the size and dimensionality of data from various applications at an unprecedented rate. Detecting anomalies in these high-dimensional data has a great significance yet remains challenging due to the sparsity, noise, and irrelevant features in the high-dimensional data. Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and AutoEncoder (AE) are the two most widely used dimension reduction (DR) methods where it reduces the number of features while capturing the most necessary information of the original data. PCA alone is, however, less effective for complex data though it is fast and has explained variance to measure the preserved information of reduced data. While combining PCA with AE can be more effective, determining optimal latent representation is a challenging problem. In this work, we propose a cascaded dimension reduction method (CDR) for effective anomaly detection. In CDR, we combine AE and PCA to reduce dimension size significantly while incorporating a knee point detection algorithm to automatically select optimal dimension size k that maximizes the anomaly detection accuracy. Our extensive evaluation of various datasets and anomaly detection models demonstrate that our proposed CDR can significantly reduce dimension size while preserving the most necessary information for effective anomaly detection. As a result, CDR achieves 80%~98% of reduction ratios and 4~21x of speedup and outperforms state-of-the-art anomaly detection methods.

Utilities deploy conservation voltage reduction (CVR) in their distribution feeders to achieve energy savings and reduce peak load consumption. Since a feeder cannot operate in CVR ON and OFF states simultaneously, CAR-ON voltage and power data need to be estimated when CVR is OFF, and vice versa for precise energy saving analysis. Therefore, accurate CVR status detection is of great importance for measurement and verification. This paper presents an accurate CVR ON/OFF status detection algorithm based on the field measurements and communication signals generated by the CVR control platform. The algorithm also takes the operation center's decisions and substation conditions into consideration. Multiple rules are developed by applying the basic principles and adapting them to real-world scenarios. Case studies on more than 700 CVR enabled feeders located in the northeast region of the U.S. validate the effectiveness of the developed algorithm.

With the rapid development of software industry, the amount and system size of software become even larger. In a result, the test to software has now become even complicated. How to optimize the efficiency of software testing became a hot spot of test area. This paper aims at improving automatic testing efficiency based on the proposed collision domain detection algorithm. It introduces the thought of generating test cases under guidance, in order to reduce probability of generating redundant test cases, to reduce the time consumption of test cases generating consequently. Our proposed algorithm can search for the excellent test cases faster and save more testing time. The experiment shows that introduce the thought of generating test cases under guidance can improve the efficiency of test cases obviously.

In the field of mobile payment, due to the practical application scenarios and low fault tolerance requirements, it is still a difficult task to obtain card number information from the bank card image and to quickly and accurately identify the bank card number. On the basis of studying the target detection algorithm YOLOv3, this paper puts forward a bank card number detection algorithm which improves the network structure of YOLOv3. In the network prediction section, the branch of feature scale prediction is added to realize the calculation of the fourth layer feature scale. Then, before calculating each feature scale, the idea of spatial pyramid pooling is introduced to increase the capability of network feature fusion and improve the accuracy of network detection. Further, combining the improved YOLOv3 detection model with DenseNet, a card number recognition model for bank cards is given, and an optimized DenseNet card number recognition model is achieved after expanding the dataset with the combination of traditional image enhancement methods and model training. Finally, the experimental results showing that the method in this paper improves the average accuracy of the algorithm and model parameter control, which can better apply to the needs of card number recognition in practical application scenarios.

In this paper, we present a PCA-based arc detection algorithm for photovoltaic (PV) DC series arc detection. PCA is a technique of extracting a new parameter that maximizes variance of a dataset while reducing the dimension of a dataset and arc noise can be effectively classified using the PCA parameter. As a dataset for PCA, DWT-based parameters acquired under various voltage and current conditions are used. The eigenvectors for PCA parameters extraction are obtained using MATLAB/simulation, and this is applied to the arc detection algorithm. The real-time arc detection test is performed through TMS320f28335 DSP. It is verified that not only the DC arc can be successfully detected with PCA-based algorithm, but also margin of the threshold value distinguishing the arc noise and inverter noise is increased.

The key technology of audio signal similarity detection lies in the selection of audio signal features and feature matching model. In order to improve the accuracy of the similarity calculation of audios, a method of using LSTM in the basic network part of the Siamese network is proposed. First of all, we extract the Filter banks features of the two audio signals. Then, two feature matrices are input into the network to calculate the audio similarity. Experiments show that the Siamese LSTM network using FBank features can accurately detect the similarity of two audio segments.

In order to meet the task requirements of cable trench inspection in the process of power system operation and maintenance, a cable defect identification system that can be used in a complex environment is designed. A cable insulation layer damage detection algorithm and a cable temperature anomaly detection algorithm based on wavelet transform image segmentation and image contour detection are proposed. The robot system is tested as a whole in a simulated cable trench experiment environment. Verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. At the same time, the test results show that the designed cable defect detection system can identify cable skin defects and overheating, which can meet the actual requirements of power system cable inspection.

With the development of the automated facilitation support for online forum, influential user detection becomes a critical issue for supporting human facilitator. Influential maximization (IM) aiming at choosing a set of users that maximize the influence propagation from the entire social network users is one of the key approaches to detect influential users in online social network. However, conventional IM algorithms cannot be applied to online forum because of the lack of existing social network. In addition, they neglect many real-world factors such as the characteristics of individual users and relation between users that should be considered in online forums influential user detection. In this paper, we propose a novel IM-based approach to detect influential users in online forum. The online forum influence propagation network (OFIPN) is modeled with the consideration of both individual contribution and relevance between users, and a heuristic algorithm that aims to find influential users in OFIPN is proposed. Experiments are conducted by utilizing a real-world social network. Our empirical results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
