Cyber-attacks toward cyber-physical systems are one of the main concerns of smart grid's operators. However, many of these cyber-attacks, are toward unmanned substations where the cyber-attackers needs to be close enough to substation to malfunction protection and control systems in substations, using Electromagnetic signals. Therefore, in this paper, a new threat detection algorithm is proposed to prevent possible cyber-attacks toward unmanned substations. Using surveillance camera's streams and based on You Only Look Once (YOLO) V3, suspicious objects in the image are detected. Then, using Intersection over Union (IOU) and Generalized Intersection Over Union (GIOU), threat distance is estimated. Finally, the estimated threats are categorized into three categories using color codes red, orange and green. The deep network used for detection consists of 106 convolutional layers and three output prediction with different resolutions for different distances. The pre-trained network is transferred from Darknet-53 weights trained on 80 classes.

The aviation industries are transitioning from conventional aircraft systems to Aviation Cyber-Physical Systems (ACPS) based aircraft. However, like any Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), the ACPS are vulnerable to cyber-attacks that can be mounted by adversaries through the communication network infrastructure. This paper proposes a novel and resilient security protocol for detecting and defending ACPS against sensor spoofing cyber-attacks. First, a communication environment was developed to establish an aircraft Networked Control System (NCS) using the SimEvents toolbox. Then, a cyber-attack detection algorithm based on the positive selection of the Artificial Immune System (AIS) approach was developed and used to detect and drop suspicious communication packets on the aircraft network traffic. Finally, the NCS and the detection algorithm were integrated and tested on real cyber-security attack scenarios. The algorithm's accuracy was 0.96 based on the True Positive and True Negative algorithm detection rate. For further defending the aircraft against cyber-attacks, Nonlinear Autoregressive Exogenous (NARX) algorithm was developed to reconstruct or estimate the network dropped packets. The estimation accuracy of the NARX reached 0.99 using the coefficient of determination (R-value) based on the linear regression approach. The real-time simulation test results showed that the sensor spoofing cyber-attack was successfully detected. Also, the communication network of the ACPS was defended against the attack because the ACPS was maintaining the normal performance during the course of the cyber-attack.

The image and video of the giant panda captured by the infrared camera in the field are of great significance to the research and protection of the giant panda. However, there are few pandas in the field and many useless data are also captured by the infrared camera, which brings many difficulties to the detection of the panda image. In order to quickly find the panda image from a large number of images, this paper proposes a special method of fast detection of giant panda based on the WL-SSD (wavelet feature single shot multibox detection) network using Spatial domain and frequency domain feature. The algorithm extracts the frequency domain features of the giant panda image through wavelet feature network. The experimental results show that the giant panda detection algorithm proposed in this paper better use of the high frequency characteristics of the giant panda texture feature, and it can find the panda image in high accuracy and detection rate from a large number of images.

We analyse the 3-dimensional point spread functions of point sources reconstructed by the backprojection algorithm for different flight paths from data from a single channel without additional information. In this scenario, SAR-algorithms normally generate two dimensional images, because of large ambiguities in height, whereby the horizontal slices are mere copies of the slice at ground level. Our investigation focuses on the effect of the flight path on these ambiguities. For this purpose, we compute the simulated 3D pointspread function for several flight paths and compare them to those for a straight flight path. We analyze the volume data through slices parallel to the coordinate planes and a topological peak detection algorithm. For the non-straight flight paths, the location of the point target can be pinpointed in the set of slices parallel to each coordinate plane, but not for the straight flight path.

Code comparison methods and tools are widely spread. However, most of the approaches target either only source code or only binary code, and methods for matching binary to source code are less investigated. In this article, we introduce Bin2Source: a tool for matching binary to source code. It gets as input a binary code (without debug information) and source code with its compilation commands. As a result, the tool returns matched functions and instructions of binary and source code. The major advantage of Bin2Source compared with existing tools is the capacity to perform instruction-to-instruction matching. The tool can be used for copyright infringements detection, algorithm recovery from binaries, third-party software detection in binaries, bugs detection, etc. Additionally, we propose a testing system to evaluate our tool's results. According to the developed testing system, Bin2Source has 85.66% precision, 83.26% recall, and 84.35% F1 score on average.

Detecting and analyzing community structures is a complex process in social networks. Existing methods of community detection in social networks do not consider both the contents and network structure simultaneously. Users and posts are significant subjects, as they provide wealthy information about social network characteristics, including topics that are of interest to users (topic information) and interactions between users (structure information). Based on the classical Community Overlap Propagation Algorithm (COPRA), we propose an improved Community Overlap Propagation Algorithm based on the Topics and Structure (COPRA-TS), which exploits a comprehensive similarity, and avoids randomness during the label information update process. The proposed COPRA-TS algorithm efficiently filters low-quality data, detects topics of users, computes the topic and structure similarity and utilizes an optimized label information update strategy. Experiments conducted on diverse networks demonstrate that our proposed COPRA-TS algorithm delivers high quality community detection than three notable community detection algorithms.

Finding developers to assist with project issues is essential in Global Software Development (GSD) contexts, where various individuals with distinct characteristics are involved. Several recommending approaches lead to identifying the same group of individuals who end up work overloaded. Aiming to diversify the recommendation process, we introduced DRecSys, a diversity-based recommendation system. Our approach seeks to identify individuals with characteristics similar to those previously requested to collaborate. To that end, we proposed a hybrid process composed of supervised (classification) and unsupervised (clustering) techniques. We provided evidence that DRecSys is able to recommend suitable non-obvious developers to assist with project issues.

Change detection (CD) is an important preprocessing process in visual perception. Due to the difficulties of collection and labeling images in water scnens, the design and validation of the change detection algorithm is more difficult than expected. In this paper, we present a novel visual perception framework based on parallel vision for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The visual perception framework consists of artificial scenes, computational experiments and parallel execution. In artificial scenes, we construct a water scene and automatically generated pixel-level image annotation. Next, computational experiments are carried out on different domain dataset. The experiment results show that: 1) mixed images effectively improve the performance of change detection model; 2) domain shift problems still greatly affect the algorithm performance.

This paper presents a novel approach for precise UAV landing using visual sensory data. A new type of fiducial marker called embedded ArUco (e-ArUco) was developed specially for a task of a robust marker detection for a wide range of distances. E-ArUco markers are based on original ArUco markers approach and require only ArUco detection algorithms. The applicability of developed markers was validated using UAV landing experiments in a virtual environment. Both a developed marker and a landing algorithm were implemented within the ROS framework and tested in the Gazebo simulator. According to our virtual experiments, an average landing accuracy was 2.03 cm with a standard deviation of 1.53 cm.

Electrical stimulation of the phrenic nerves via implanted devices allows to counteract some disadvantages of mechanical ventilation in patients with high tetraplegia or Ondine's syndrome. Existing devices do not allow to monitor breathing or to adapt the electroventilation to patients' actual needs. A reliable breathing monitor with an inbuilt alarm function would improve patient safety. In our study, a real-time acoustic breathing detection method is proposed as a possible solution to improve implanted phrenic stimulation. A new algorithm to process tracheal sounds has been developed. It combines breathing detection in both temporal and frequency domains The algorithm has been applied on recordings from 18 healthy participants. The obtained average sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the detection are: 99.31 %, 96.84% and 98.02%, respectively. These preliminary results show a first positive proof of the interest of such an approach. Additional experiments are needed, including longer recordings from individuals with tetraplegia or Ondine Syndrome in various environments to go further in the validation.
