In the process industry, limit cycles are mostly induced by stiction-related nonlinearity in control valves, severely deteriorating control loop performance. Such problem highlights the importance of compensating for oscillations due to valve stiction. To this end, this work introduces an improved PI controller(IPIC) for stiction compensation, which retains the advantages of the traditional PI controller with fewer adjustment parameters. The enhancement involves nonlinear variation of the integral gain based on instantaneous error. Additionally, a differential evolution algorithm is utilized for controller *** to state-of-the-art methods in setpoint tracking, disturbance rejection, and robustness to parameter uncertainties, the proposed approach exhibits superior performance.

25 Hz phase detecting track circuit is the dominant equipment of signal control systems in railway station,and its operation is crucial for ensuring train safety and transportation *** improve the fault diagnosis performance of track circuits,based on feature selection and artificial intelligence algorithms,this paper innovatively proposes a fault diagnosis ***,establishing a transmission calculation model for a 25Hz phase detecting track circuit,a fault diagnosis dataset is ***,based on the Relief-F feature selection algorithm,we propose a monitoring scheme optimization strategy,measuring the correlation between features and labels in classification tasks,while establishing the optimal feature ***,for completing the fault diagnosis of the 25Hz phase detecting track circuit under the optimal monitoring scheme,a Cat Boost model is established and a differential evolution algorithm is introduced to optimize *** results demonstrate that the proposed fault diagnosis model outperforms other algorithms in all indicators,significantly improving classification accuracy and robustness.

Sensors and actuators placements play an important role in the control performance of an active vibration control system for piezoelectric smart aero-engine blades. Incorrect placement of sensors and actuators may lead to instability in the control system. This paper proposes optimal placement methods based on the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) algorithm for actuators and sensors. Firstly, three sensors and actuators placement optimization schemes are proposed based on the modal analysis and transient analysis results of ANSYS. These schemes include the superposition of non-absolute normalized modal strains, the energy criterion for transient analysis, and the superposition of absolute normalized modal strains. Secondly, it is ensured that the placements of the MFC piezoelectric elements are optimized based on the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm and differential evolution(DE) algorithm within the boundary constraints. Finally, the convergence of the fitness function based on the PSO algorithm and the DE algorithm as well as the three schemes are comparatively analyzed and the optimal placement of the MFC is found. Simulation results show that the last scheme optimized based on the PSO algorithm has better convergence effect and can obtain the optimal placements of sensors and actuators.

Robust optimization over time can effectively solve the problem of frequent solution switching in dynamic environments. In order to improve the search performance of dynamic robust optimization algorithm, a dynamic robust particle swarm optimization algorithm based on hybrid strategy (HS-DRPSO) is proposed in this paper. Based on the particle swarm optimization, the HS-DRPSO combines differential evolution algorithm and brainstorms an optimization algorithm to improve the search ability. Moreover, a dynamic selection strategy is employed to realize the selection of different search methods in the proposed algorithm. Compared with the other two dynamic robust optimization algorithms on five dynamic standard test functions, the results show that the overall performance of the proposed algorithm is better than other comparison algorithms.

Due to the characteristics of nonlinearity and strong coupling, the control system for unmanned helicopters is challenging to design. Coordinated turn is a basic mode for unmanned helicopters to complete complex actions autonomously. To achieve higher control performance, this paper proposes a fuzzy PID coordinated turn control method based on improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Firstly, the mathematical model of an unmanned helicopter is established, and the control strategy of coordinated turn mode is analysed. Then, the attitude and altitude controllers based on fuzzy PID for coordinated turn are designed. In order to compensate for the shortcoming that quantization factors and proportional factors of fuzzy PID controllers depend too much on experience, the differential evolution (DE) method, local convergence judgement, and linearly decreasing inertia weight are presented as improvements to the PSO algorithm to optimize factors. Finally, the results of the simulation demonstrate that the position, speed and attitude of the unmanned helicopter can react quickly and the corresponding output value is accurate and stable in coordinated turn mode. So the coordinated turn control method for unmanned helicopters is proven to be feasible and effective.

In order to solve the problem of low efficiency when the interleaved parallel DC-DC converters adopting current-sharing scheme work in low load conditions, this paper proposes an efficiency optimization control method which finds the load current distribution scheme for optimal efficiency by applying differential evolution (DE) algorithm and selects appropriate operation mode according to the system state. Furthermore, to test dynamic performance of different control strategies, simulations and experiments are carried out with both Dual-PI control and modified PI-PMC control based on Two-phase interleaved synchronous rectification BUCK converter. The results indicate efficiency optimization control method proposed in this paper can greatly improve the efficiency and accelerate dynamic response when adopting PI-MPC control.

Application of adaptive improved DE algorithm based on multi-angle search rotation crossover strategy in multi-circuit testing optimization

This study based on the standard differential evolution (DE) algorithm was carried out to address the issues of control parameter imprinting, mutation process, and crossover process in the standard DE algorithm as well as the issue of multidimensional circuit testing optimization. A rotation control vector was introduced to expand the search range in the poor strategy to the circumference range of the individual and the parent target individual, and a rotation crossover operator and a binomial poor operator were combined. Finally, an improved adaptive DE algorithm based on a multi-angle search rotation crossover strategy was obtained. The research will improve the DE algorithm to optimize the testing of multidimensional circuits. It can be noted that the improved average precision value is 0.9919 when comparing the precision recall curves of the DE algorithm before and after the change, demonstrating a significant improvement in accuracy and stability. The fitness difference of the 30-dimensional problem is discovered to be between 0.25 x 10(3) and 0.5 x 10(3) by comparing the box graphs of the 30-dimensional problem with that of the 50-dimensional problem. On the 50-dimensional problem, when calculating the F4-F10 function, the fitness difference of the improved DE algorithm is 0.2 x 10(4)-0.4 x 10(4). In summary, the improved DE algorithm proposed in this study compensates for the shortcomings of traditional algorithms in complex problem calculations and has also achieved significant optimization results in multidimensional circuit testing.

This paper addresses multiphase matrix converter (MPMCs) modulated with Venturini's classical scalar approach. The solution to obtain time-varying modulation functions was limited to 3x3 configuration, which was later extended to 3xn configuration. The equations had four constants that were common to all modulation functions;out of which two were defined arbitrarily and other two were found analytically by reducing the equation to a two-variable optimisation problem. However, in this work, an attempt is made to provide flexibility in finding other solutions by taking all the constants as variables. Thus, differential evolution (DE) algorithm is adopted in the proposed modulation approach to solve the complex equations thus obtained. Another aim is to find the solution for the MPMC, where inputs are more than three. It is found that the optimal solutions exist only for 3xn configuration and are in close approximation with the results of analytical approach. Other solutions were found for certain input and output frequencies and voltage transfer ratios whose results are discussed. It is also found that the solution does not exist for configurations with input phases are other than three. The discussion is supported by simulation and experimental results on a 3x7 matrix converter at various values of voltage transfer ratios and input/output frequencies.

This paper presents a unified control strategy based on the trajectory planning and tracking control for the planar 2-link underactuated manipulator. The trajectory of the active link is composed of two parts. The first part trajectories are designed according to the initial and target angles of the active link. The second part trajectories are designed based on the constraints between the underactuated link and the active link. Meanwhile, the parameters of the trajectories are optimized by the differential evolution algorithm (DEA) to ensure all links eventually reach to their target values by tracking the designed trajectories. Then, the sliding mode variable structure controller is designed to make the active link track their trajectories. The effectiveness of such strategy is demonstrated through simulation results.

This paper presents a network characteristic modes based method for reactively loaded parasitic superdirective arrays design. The proposed method is used for designing a three-element array for different inter-elements distances and compared to method [1]. The comparison results show that the NCM based method overcome the method [1] for all separation distances. To validate the results a two prototype were fabricated with a separating distances of d(1)=0.2 lambda and d(2) =0.2 lambda. Measurements results show a good agreement with simulated ones
