D-RDMALib: InfiniBand-based RDMA Library for distributed cluster Applications

(Remote Direct Memory Access) is a recent communication protocol that allows for the maximum utilization of the performance of InfiniBand, a high-speed network device based on Data Processing Units (DPUs). However, the existing RDMA development method incurs a high implementation complexity, which makes it difficult to apply to a multi-node environment. To solve these problems, we propose D-RDMALib, an efficient and easy-to-use RDMA library suitable for distributed cluster environments. As an effective development tool, D-RDMALib can reduce the implementation difficulty of applying RDMA to distributed multi- node environments. It also improves the accessibility of InfiniBand and RDMA technologies with high entry barriers. In this paper, we demonstrate the efficiency of D-RDMALib by 1) verifying the successful operation of many-to-many communication in distributed nodes, and 2) evaluating the performance by implementing PageRank-based on DRDMALib. We believe that our work is a novel technique that can be easily applied to existing distributed processing environments as well as to emerging ultra-high-speed in-network technologies such as Quantum InfiniBand.

Short-term load forecasting with clustering-regression model in distributed cluster

This paper tackles a new challenge in power big data: how to improve the precision of short-term load forecasting with large-scale data set. The proposed load forecasting method is based on Spark platform and "clustering-regression" model, which is implemented by Apache Spark machine learning library (MLlib). Proposed scheme firstly clustering the users with different electrical attributes and then obtains the "load characteristic curve of each cluster", which represents the features of various types of users and is considered as the properties of a regional total load. Furthermore, the "clustering-regression" model is used to forecast the power load of the certain region. Extensive experiments show that the proposed scheme can predict reasonably the short-term power load and has excellent robustness. Comparing with the single-alone model, the proposed method has a higher efficiency in dealing with large-scale data set and can be effectively applied to the power load forecasting.

Dynamic cluster organization is a hotspot research field for wireless sensor networks. A new algorithm of building and regroup clusters - Improved distributed cluster Organization Algorithm (IDCOA) is proposed in this paper. By IDCOA, nodes are clustered via the way that some nodes propose invitations, and the other sensors respond. Member nodes in the networks save the cluster's id, but header nodes do not have to save its member's id. The regroup of clusters is considered also. On one hand, the exiting nodes don't affect on the other nodes;on the other hand, the new nodes can join in the network effectively. To describe the IDCOA algorithm, six time-related parameters are defined to be used for timer control;seven message types are defined to be used for nodes communication;and ten steps are defined as the implement of the IDCOA process. The simulate result indicates that IDCOA algorithm has well performance on the clustered rate and the number of cluster headers for wireless sensor networks.

This project researches and implements the problem of concurrent data repeated submission during the integration of distributed cluster system to a cloud platform. In this paper, three different solutions are proposed. Through analysis and comparison, the JMS service provided by Weblogic, which has an automatic failover function, is selected as the final solution to prevent concurrent duplicate data submission. And this solution only takes little code change effort on the existing system. When different users select duplicate records for concurrent submission, the message queue function of the Weblogic JMS service is used to record the records to be submitted. At the same time, the duplicate records are removed to avoid the problem of concurrent duplicate submission. Finally, the records can be imported in to the corresponding cloud platform through WebService technology. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

In the G/S model, the distributed server cluster is responsible for providing spatial data management and information sharing. Monitoring is the main task of cluster management. This paper studied the implementation of current cluster monitoring systems and on this basis proposed solutions of G/S cluster monitoring, mainly make a new exploration on the storage of monitoring data – the monitoring information is stored in HGML files, and around the storage model achieved other functions the monitoring system needed, finally the prototype system was developed and the strategy was verified.

In order to improve the quality and efficiency of the distributed cluster collaborative production for video stream, a multidimensional transcoding framework of stereoscopic video is proposed. In the framework, the transcoding technologies, including decoding and encoding, are applied based on multiple levels. At the same time, a new scheduling algorithm is introduced for the transcoding orderly and efficiently. For the stereoscopic video transcoding effects evaluation, several methods are introduced and the experimental results show that the proposed method has high accuracy and efficiency.

In this paper, a novel framework for cluster detection in cooperative wireless networks is proposed. This framework is modeled by a dynamic game with incomplete information, in which each player in the game aspires to improve its position in the network by forming cooperative groups. Instead of static systems, the attention we paid in this paper is highly dynamic networks, where the users' high mobility brings a huge challenge in clustering. In order to mitigate that impact, this paper is from the perspective of social relations to clustering, extracting users' social nature from their mobile patterns and designing distributed cluster strategy based on game model. The introduction of social nature with generally long-term characteristics makes clustering framework more predictive and stable. Simulations on real-world networks show that the proposed approach performs well in clustering in cooperative wireless networks.
