Integrating heterogeneous data sources is a precondition to share data for enterprises. Highly-efficient data updating can both save system expenses, and offer real-time data. It is one of the hot issues to modify data rapidly in the pre-processing area of the data warehouse. An extract transform loading design is proposed based on a new data algorithm called Diff-Match,which is developed by utilizing mode matching and data-filtering technology. It can accelerate data renewal, filter the heterogeneous data, and seek out different sets of data. Its efficiency has been proved by its successful application in an enterprise of electric apparatus groups.

As a result of geographical location and management model, large-scale clothing corporations have expressed their requirements for distributed data management and multi-hierarchy decision support. Based on large-scale clothing corporations, the paper proposes a model of distributed data warehouse for sales decision support system in clothing industry, and illustrates some key techniques in designing data warehouse. The paper also proposes a solution for data transmission from local data warehouse to main data warehouse using the technology of Web Service, and gives an actualization of Web-oriented OLAP.

Considering the characteristics of the star-schema, this paper compresses the sorting keywords to lessen the cost of transfer and the expense of sorting, adopts the distributed aggregation operation method to reduce the number of groups which need to transfer and create complete aggregation result in request site. This work will greatly reduce the cost of data processing and the cost of data transmission between sites, thereby increase the efficiency of aggregation query of the distributed data warehouse.

This research work introduces a novel approach to enhance the performance of distributed data warehouses. Distribution of data has been done across multiple data center for the underlying data warehouse to ensure parallel processing that improves the performance of the system. The proposed system focuses on data availability locally, resulting in faster query processing times. In order to further optimize the query processing and to alleviate the centralized data warehouse load, the study suggests distributing the cuboids at different sites to maintain the lattice of cuboids logically. Algorithms have been proposed to execute OLAP aggregation operations that significantly enhanced query response times in distributed data warehouse. Empirical tests on real-world datasets proved the method's effectiveness, showcasing its superiority in terms of reduced OLAP query execution time, enhanced space efficiency, minimized network transmission delays, reduced bandwidth requirements and more predictable and stable data transmission compared to existing approaches.

Ontological On-line Analytical Processing for Integrating Energy Sensor data

In this paper we propose an ontological OLAP (on-line analytical processing) framework to integrate -distributed energy sensor data. The OLAP data cube in the framework annotated with semantics with other supporting mechanisms can deal with the issues of the schema inconsistency that may result from -integration of heterogeneous data sources. The proposed approach provides a way of storing, reusing and composing OLAP cubes in order to increase system usability. A prototype of the proposed framework based on a -number of existing tools such as protege, Jess, and Fuzzy J has been developed to demonstrate its feasibility.

This short position paper considers issues in developing data Architecture for the Internet of Things (IoT) through the medium of an exemplar project, Domain Expertise Capture in Authoring and Development -Environments (DECADE). A brief discussion sets the background for IoT, and the development of the -distinction between things and computers. The paper makes a strong argument to avoid reinvention of the wheel, and to reuse approaches to distributed heterogeneous data architectures and the lessons learned from that work, and apply them to this situation. DECADE requires an autonomous recording system, -local data storage, semi-autonomous verification model, sign-off mechanism, qualitative and -quantitative -analysis -carried out when and where required through web-service architecture, based on ontology and analytic agents, with a self-maintaining ontology model. To develop this, we describe a web-service -architecture, -combining a distributed data warehouse, web services for analysis agents, ontology agents and a -verification engine, with a centrally verified outcome database maintained by certifying body for qualification/-professional status.

In this paper, the stereoscopic monitoring data warehouse and service system of dynamic marine environment (MOSS) is taken as an example to discuss the data warehouse integration scheme and information sharing model for dynamic marine environment monitoring data. The mining method based on association rules is introduced to analyze the major and trace elements in the marine environment of the Yangtze River Estuary. Classification and analysis are performed according to the data mining association rules method.

The cost budget of distributed enterprises depends on large quantities of operating data and aggregates data. Policymakers of these enterprise groups work out their cost budget according to their subjective judgement and experience. The reasons for their doing so are that scattered data memory is short of unified format and standardization and that current data fail to reflect their dynamic changes,etc. Here for the benefit of policymakers of the concerned enterprises and by making use of the cost of the enterprise logistics, analysis of the cost management and that of development of decision support prototype system are being conducted. The technical management of distributed date warehouse, heterogeneous data source in the integrated subsidiary and heterogeneous model based on my ETL design,that is based on a kind of new data algorithm which is developed by utilizing mode matching and data-filtering technology. It can accelerate the speed of data renewal, filter the heterogeneous data, seek out different sets of data,and offer the data basis for further decision from policymakers. It has been proved to be efficient by its successful application in the corporation working on distributed enterprises.

Through analysis of large sample data of freeway traffic block event, the data source of freeway traffic block is found out and summarized. Based on that, this paper propose a national level, distributed, freeway traffic block multidimensional data warehouse(FTBMDW), and present the concept model, logical model and physical models of the data warehouse. The purpose of the FTBMDW is to support inter-provincial and inter-regional freeway traffic block analysis with reliable data.

Hive is a data warehouse infrastructure tool to process structured data in Hadoop. It resides on top of Hadoop to summarize Big data, and makes querying and analyzing easy. The Hadoop MapReduce framework speed up the execution of queries. This manuscript proposes the use of Multi Query Optimization (MQO) technique to enhance the overall performance of Hadoop/Hive. During simultaneous execution of multiple queries, many opportunities can arise for distribution search and/or computation tasks. Executing common jobs only once can reduce the total execution time of all queries remarkably. Our framework, transforms a set of interrelated HiveQL queries into new global queries that can produce the same results in remarkably smaller total execution times. It is experimentally shown that proposed Hive (distributed Hive) outperforms the conventional Hive by 20-50% reduction, depending on the number of queries and percentage of shared tasks, in the total execution time of correlated TPC-H queries.
