This paper focuses on the distributed filtering problem for a class of time-varying networked systems with sensor gain degradation and energy constrained communication *** satisfy the requirement of power consumption and reduce the schedule computing complexity,centralized cyclic finite-time communication strategy optimization is taken into *** networked system considered in this paper consists of spatially distributed sensors linked to their neighbor sensors,where each sensor node suffers from different gain degradation,and the transmission decisions of all the communication channels obey the centralized transmission schedule strategy ***,we present scattered communication action based on single-sensor transmission modeling with an energy ***,an optimal communication protocol considering expected average error covariance is derived between the target system and each sensor node over the distributed sensor systems,based on a centralized finite-time ***,by transforming the overall estimation error covariance of the systems at each sampling time into quadratic form,a conditionally unbiased least-square recursive distributed filtering technique over the networked system is designed at each sensor *** system stability condition under such an optimal schedule is also accomplished with bounded covariance.A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the utility and effectiveness of the distributed filtering technique using the proposed optimized energy constrained communication protocol.

This paper addresses a distributed filtering problem for saturated systems over sensor network with measurement outliers, where the multiplicative noises are used to characterize the internal behaviors of system model. A chi(2) detection is first constructed in the distributed filter to detect and remove the outliers existing in the measurement outputs caused by some external environment disturbances or malicious attacks. Moreover, the innovation sequence is applied to design filter as a compensation term. The objective of this paper is to find a locally optimal distributed filter such that, for both the measurement outliers and multiplicative noises, an upper bound of filtering error covariance is given and then a proper filter gain is derived to minimize the obtained upper bound matrix with the help of the matrix analysis theory and the probability knowledge. Finally, a numerical experiment is proposed to verify the validity of the designed distributed filtering algorithm.

This paper proposes a distributed filtering scheme over sensor networks with topology switching and topology-dependent event-triggered transmission schemes. A new monitoring mechanism is introduced to identify the topology switching instants, and the system output is sampled by sensors when the network topology switches. Based on the time-varying sampled-outputs, a group of distributed topology-dependent event-triggered transmission schemes is introduced to reduce the amount of transmitting sampled-data. Under a unified framework of multiple switching topology modes, the event-triggered transmission schemes, and the network-induced delays, the networked filter error system is modeled as a switched time-delay system. By using a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a bounded real lemma is obtained such that the filtering error system is asymptotically stable with a prescribed attenuation level, and a co-design method on the event-triggered parameters and the networked filter gains is also proposed. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed results.

The interactions between subsystems are important for large-scale systems. We introduce a local strongly coupled system which coupled by random communication between subsystems. Due to the intermittent communication, it is difficult to apply the standard Kalman or robust filter to design procedures to such systems. In this paper, we addressed the distributed robust filter design method for this kind of system based on the consensus idea. The main result is a sufficient condition which guarantees a suboptimal level of disagreement of estimates in a coupled network of estimators. The condition is formulated in terms of feasibility of biaffine matrix inequalities (BNIs). The generic algorithm is used to treat the bilinear relation between filter parameters and the interconnection gains. The proposed approach is applied to the problem of formation based robust synchronization. The numerical simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed filtering method.

This paper is concerned with the distributed H-infinity filtering problem for a class of nonlinear systems with randomly occurring sensor saturations (ROSS) and successive packet dropouts in sensor networks. A sufficient condition is established for the desired distributed filter to ensure that the filtering dynamics is exponentially mean-square stable and the prescribed H-infinity performance constraint is satisfied. The solution of the distributed filter gains is characterized by solving an auxiliary convex optimization problem. Finally, a simulation example is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed filtering scheme.

This paper is concerned with the distributed filtering problem for a class of discrete time-varying stochastic systems over binary sensor networks with the Rayleigh fading channels. Both the system state and measurement are subject to random noises with known statistical information, where the distribution function of measurement noise is employed to extract the functional information for state estimation purposes. The communication between a sensor node and its neighboring ones is implemented over a Rayleigh fading channel. For each binary sensor, a distributed filter is constructed by virtue of the available information from itself and its neighboring nodes, and the overall filtering error dynamics is guaranteed to be exponentially ultimately bounded in the mean square sense. By resorting to a local performance analysis method, sufficient criteria are established for ensuring the existence of the desired distributed filter in terms of a set of recursive linear matrix inequalities. The desired filter parameters are recursively calculated on every node by solving an optimization problem at each time instant with the aim of improving the estimation accuracy. Finally, some comparative results are presented to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the developed distributed filtering scheme.

In this article, a secure distributed filtering problem is investigated for a state-saturated system subject to random occurring nonlinearities and deception attack. To resist the hostile attack from a malicious attacker who can modify the data of the transmission module according to a certain probability, an attack detector with a dynamic threshold is designed for each sensor to decide whether to broadcast the current measurement innovation to neighbors. A distributed filtering algorithm is proposed to estimate system state, and a sufficient condition is established to guarantee mean-square boundedness of the estimation error. Moreover, a critical attack probability above which the steady-state estimation error covariance will exceed a preset value is found. In addition, a minimum attack magnitude is given to ensure that the attack signal is able to be completely detected. A numerical example is carried out to testify the validity of the proposed results.

This paper is concerned with the varianceconstrained distributed filtering problem for a class of timevarying systems subject to multiplicative noises, unknown but bounded disturbances and deception attacks over sensor networks. The available measurements at each sensing node are collected not only from the individual sensor but also from its neighbors according to the given topology. A new deception attack model is proposed where the malicious signals are injected by the adversary into both control and measurement data during the process of information transmission via the communication network. By resorting to the recursive linear matrix inequality approach, a sufficient condition is established for the existence of the desired filter satisfying the prespecified requirements on the estimation error variance. Subsequently, an optimization problem is formulated in order to seek the filter parameters ensuring the locally optimal filtering performance at each time instant. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed algorithm.

Probabilistic-Constrained distributed filtering for a Class of Nonlinear Stochastic Systems Subject to Periodic DoS Attacks

This paper investigates the probabilistic-constrained distributed filtering problem for a class of nonlinear stochastic systems with state constraints and cyber attacks. The considered cyber attacks are periodic denial-of-service (DoS) attacks which are modeled by a kind of periodic pulse-width-modulated (PWM) jamming signals. Different from some existing works, by using the proposed filter design method, the probability of the filtering error exceeding a threshold can be guaranteed below a certain level quantitatively. Furthermore, in order to economize the limited bandwidth resources, an event-triggered communication scheme (ETS) is designed for the data transmission. The aim of the problem addressed is to design a time-varying distributed filters such that: 1) the probability of the filtering error restricted to a given ellipsoid is larger than a specified value;and 2) the obtained ellipsoid threshold is minimized in the sense of matrix norm at each time point. To achieve this purpose, a recursive linear matrix inequality method is utilized and sufficient conditions are derived. Moreover, the filter parameters are explicitly determined in terms of the solution to certain matrix inequalities. Finally, the reliability and applicability of the proposed distributed filtering strategy are demonstrated by an illustrative example.

Harmonic-Coupled Riccati Equation and Its Applications in distributed filtering

The coupled Riccati equations (CREs) are a set of multiple Riccati-like equations whose solutions are coupled with each other through matrix means. They are a fundamental mathematical tool to depict the inherent dynamics of many complex systems, including Markovian systems or multiagent systems. This article investigates a new kind of CREs called harmonic-CREs (HCREs), whose solutions are coupled using harmonic means. We first introduce the specific form of HCREs and then analyze the existence and uniqueness of its solutions under the conditions of collective observability and primitiveness of coupling matrices. In addition, we manage to find an iterative law with low computation-complexity to obtain the solutions to HCREs. Based on this newly established theory, we greatly simplify the steady-state estimation error covariance of consensus-on-information-based distributed filtering (CIDF) into the solutions to a discrete-time Lyapunov equation (DLE). This leads to a significant conservativeness reduction of traditional performance evaluation techniques for CIDF. The obtained results are remarkable since they not only enrich the theory of CREs but also provide a novel insight into the synthesis and analysis of CIDF algorithms. We finally validate our theoretical findings through several numerical experiments.
