This paper investigates secure consensus problems of nonlinear dynamical networks (NDNs) with node delay under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, which can cause a break in communication links. It will lead to packet loss. To ensure the secure consensus in this scenario, we propose an effective impulsive control which only based on sampled information from neighbor nodes. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the impulsive comparison principle, an upper bound of the average impulse interval is derived to ensure the exponential consensus of NDNs under DoS attacks, and the convergence rate can be estimated. Finally, a numerical example is provided to check the theory results.

This article studies the local exponential synchronization synthesis problem of directed Lur'e networks with coupling time-varying delay under the distributed impulsive control subject to actuator saturation. First, by utilizing proof by contradiction, impulsive comparison principle, and latest improved convex hull representation of saturation function, some delay-independent sufficient criteria for local exponential synchronization are presented in the form of bilinear matrix inequalities. Meanwhile, a novel method with less conservatism is developed to estimate the domain of attraction, which is radically different from the traditional method by means of contractive invariant set. Second, optimization problems constrained by the transformed linear matrix inequalities are established to acquire the maximum estimates of both the domain of attraction and average impulsive interval (AII), which are conveniently solved by the YALMIP toolbox in MATLAB software. Finally, a numerical simulation is rendered to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed theoretical results.

This paper investigates the issue of cluster synchronization (CS) for the coupled neural networks (CNNs) with time-varying delays via the delay-dependent distributed impulsive control. A new Halanay-like inequality, where delayed impulses are taken into consideration, is proposed. Based on the Lyapunov theory and the new differential inequality, sufficient conditions of CS for delayed CNNs with fixed and switching coupling topology are obtained, respectively. Moreover, delay-dependent distributed impulsive controllers with fixed or switching topology are designed thereby. Finally, we present a numerical example of CNNs with fixed or switching coupling to verify the effectiveness of our results, respectively. (C) 2021 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

This paper investigates the quasi-synchronization problem of a heterogeneous dynamical network. All nodes have fractional order dynamical behavior with time-varying delay. The distributed impulsive control strategy is applied to drive all the nodes to approximately synchronize with the target orbit within a nonzero error bound. A new comparison principle of impulsive fractional order functional differential equation has been built at first. Then, based on the Lyapunov stability theory, some basic theories of fractional order functional differential equation, and the definition of an average impulsive interval, some quasi-synchronization criteria are derived with explicit expressions of the error bound. Both synchronizing impulses and desynchronizing impulses are discussed in this paper. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the theoretical analysis. This paper mainly focuses on studying the almost surely synchronization problem of directed coupled neural networks with time-varying delays. A new type of stochastic distributed impulsive controller is proposed to take impulse delays into account, where impulsive gains are assumed to obey the Gaussian distribution. By taking advantage of basic properties associated with graph theory, the Chebyshev inequality, the Borel-Cantelli Lemma and the Lyapunov functional method, some sufficient conditions for almost surely synchronization of delayed coupled impulsive neural networks with random impulsive gains are presented. Our result shows that, under the proposed stochastic impulsive control scheme, almost surely synchronization can be achieved even if the size of delays exceeds the length of impulsive intervals. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to verify the validity of the theoretical results.

In this paper, exponential synchronization of a class of nonlinearly coupled complex dynamical networks with time-varying delay is investigated. A novel distributed controller combined with pinning impulsive method is designed by selecting the systems with largest norms of errors to be controlled at every impulsive instant. By introducing the adaptive control protocol into the negative feedback controller, suitable control gains are obtained and therefore, the control cost is efficiently saved. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory and some mathematical techniques, some novel leader-following synchronization criteria are derived. Furthermore, with consideration of time-varying impulsive effects, the obtained results are extended to a more complicated situation. Finally, two numerical examples are performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis.

The issue of exponential synchronization of stochastic time-delayed memristor-based neural networks via distributed impulsive control is considered. Based on the characteristics of memristor, the corresponding drive and response stochastic memristor-based neural networks with distributed impulsive control input are established. Then the synchronization error system is gained by using the concept of synchronization and stochastic differential inclusion theory. Through the generalized impulsive delay differential inequality technique, the criteria to guarantee that the error system is exponentially mean square stable, namely that the drive and response systems achieve the exponential synchronization is acquired. At last, the numerical simulation verifies the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results. (C) 2018 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

This study develops a new droop-based secondary distributed control strategy with hybrid dynamical form for the islanded microgrids (MGs). Two impulsive control algorithms containing time-varying delays are designed, under which the frequency and voltage restoration and active power sharing accuracy of all distributed generators can be realised with an exponential convergence speed. Compared to the traditional continuous or discrete-time distributed algorithms, the designed impulsive controllers formulate the controlled MG to be a hybrid dynamics, which are more general and applicable for practical power systems. Moreover, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions on the requirements for sparse communication network and impulsive time intervals are derived, in which the time delays do not need to be less than the length of the impulsive intervals. Simulation results on the control parameter analysis, and communication network topologies validates the developed theories.

In this paper, we study the synchronization of networked Kuramoto oscillators with phase lags. distributed impulsive control strategies are developed to ensure the synchronization of coupled Kuramoto oscillators with phase lags. A sufficient condition is given to ensure bounded synchronization whose boundary can be sufficiently and arbitrary small. Especially, when oscillators are identical and phase lags are uniform, the exponential convergence criteria are derived. The proposed control strategies are valid for arbitrary distributions of phase lags with a boundary. Finally, numerical simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.

In this paper, synchronization of coupled neural networks is investigated via distributed delayed impulsive control, and system delays, coupling delays and impulsive delays are simultaneously considered. Firstly, the concept of average delayed impulsive weight is proposed, which allows impulsive weights and impulsive delays to be integrated into just one expression, and afterward hybrid impulses can be augmented. Then, this paper extends the comparison principle by taking delayed impulses into account, where the limitation that system delays exist between two consecutive impulsive instants is released. Without any restriction on time delays, sufficient conditions of global exponential synchronization for coupled neural networks are obtained. Additionally, the corresponding convergence rate is estimated. It indicates that the networks can still achieve synchronization even if the impulses work negatively, or may destroy synchronization. Finally, three typical networks are investigated to verify the availability of the control schemes.
