This paper outlines the research status and the key technique of flexible amphibious aircraft. And the dynamic model, control methods and multi-mode switching control are also introduced. As well as a design concept is proposed for the amphibious flexible aircraft witch can perform tasks under two both certain environment in the air and underwater. Finally some of the problems and difficulties in the research of amphibious flexible aircraft are discussed.

Variability continues to pose challenges to integrated circuit design. With statistical static timing analysis and high-yield estimation methods, solutions to particular problems exist, but they do not allow a common view on performance variability including potentially correlated and non-Gaussian parameter distributions. In this paper, we present a probabilistic approach for variability modeling as an alternative: model parameters are treated as multi-dimensional random variables. Such a fully multivariate statistical description formally accounts for correlations and non-Gaussian random components. Statistical characterization and model application are introduced for standard cells and gate-level digital circuits. Example analyses of circuitry in a 28 nm industrial technology illustrate the capabilities of our modeling approach.

Total-variation (TV) regularization is widely adopted in image restoration problems to exploit the feature that natural images are smooth with small gradient values at most regions. Basic TV method assumes identical zero-mean Laplacian distribution for the gradients at all pixels. However, for real-world images, the statistics of gradients may not be stationary, and the zero-mean assumption of gradients may not be valid either for a specific pixel. This paper presents a non-local extension of TV regularization for image restoration, called Non-Local Gradient Sparsity Regularization (NGSR). The NGSR model employs a separate gradient value distribution for each pixel. To figure out the distribution parameters, the NGSR method exploits a set of patches which are similar to the patch centered at current pixel and estimates the distribution parameter adaptively. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed NGSR outperforms traditional TV remarkably for image restoration.

In electronic manufacturing system, the design of the robotic hand with sufficient dexterity and configuration is important for the successful accomplishment of the assembly task. It is significant that the robot can grasp assembly parts and do some simple in-hand manipulation so as to fit them with the package slots. In this research, we study the process of precise in-hand posture transition problem using a novel jaw like gripper with human-sized anthropomorphic features. We transform the in-hand manipulation problem into a series of static grasping problems. Then we study the successful twisting condition on each grasp frame by analyzing its dynamic performance and requirements. Based on this data-driven idea, simulation and experimental data is obtained from both successful and failed trials. Finally, we create the distribution of parameters grasp map for successful twisting.

A renovating method for distributed parameter control systems with constants, varying-delays, and multi-varying-delays is put forward. By constructing average Lyapunov functions and employing linear matrix inequality (LMI) and other matrix inequality technologies, several sufficient conditions for exponential stabilization are derived. In this method, the conditions are delay-dependent and at the same time, the upper-bound of exponential convergence rate is obtained. In addition, the distinctive advantage of our method is that the criteria mentioned in the paper are easy to check, so it can be applied to practice easily. Finally, a computation example is given to illustrate the proposed method.

In this paper we study parameter estimation for α-stable distribution parameters. The proposed approach uses a Poisson series representation (PSR) for skewed α-stable random variables, which provides a conditionally Gaussian framework. Therefore, a straightforward implementation of Bayesian parameter estimation using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods is feasible. To extend the series representation to practical application, we provide a novel approximation of the series residual terms, which exactly characterises the mean and variance of the approximation and maintains its structure. Simulations illustrate the proposed framework applied to skewed α-stable data, estimating the distribution parameter values.

A new contourlet-based method is introduced for reducing noise in images corrupted by additive white Gaussian noise. It is shown that a symmetric normal inverse Gaussian distribution is more suitable for modeling the contourlet coefficients than formerly-used generalized Gaussian distribution. To estimate the noise-free coefficients, a Bayesian maximum a posteriori estimator is developed utilizing the proposed distribution. In order to estimate the parameters of the distribution, a moment-based technique is used. The performance of the proposed method is studied using typical noise-free images corrupted with simulated noise and compared with that of the other state-of-the-art methods. It is shown that compared with other denoising techniques, the proposed method gives higher values of the peak signal-to-noise ratio and provides images of good visual quality.

As simulation continues to replace experimentation in the design cycle, the need to quantify uncertainty in model outputs due to uncertainties in the model parameters becomes critical. While intelligent sampling methods such as sparse grid collocation has expanded the class of random systems that can be simulated to aid uncertainty quantification, the statistical characterization of the model parameters are rarely known. In previous works, we have proposed a number of methods for identification of the most significant parametric variations as well as an optimization-based framework for estimation of distributed parameters. This work combines these two approaches, we identify a stochastic parameter in a random system then use the Frechet derivative to determine the most significant (deterministic, spatial) parametric variations. In other words, showing that the Frechet derivative is Hilbert-Schmidt allows us to compute those parametric variations that have the most local impact on the solution. These variations are used to interrogate the stochastic parameter. We illustrate our methods with numerical example identifying the distributed stochastic parameter in an elliptic boundary value problem.

One way to increase the accuracy of monitoring general and distributed parameters of the core of a nuclear reactor is to calibrate the in-reactor neutron and gamma-ray detectors. The calibration can be performed before the detectors are placed in the core as well as periodically during operation. The approaches used to calibrate detectors for different types of modern nuclear reactors are examined and the accuracy of some methods of calibration is presented.

Fiber-optic sensors based on fluctuation oscillations of waveguide micro-optomechanical resonance structures

The characteristics of fiber-optic oscillation frequency sensors of deformation and temperature that employ the thermal fluctuation resonant oscillations in the SMS(M) fiber structures (sensitive elements that represent oscillation systems with distributed parameters based on series-connected single- and multimode step-index fibers) are developed and studied. The measurements of the fluctuation oscillations are based on the amplitude-phase modulation of the optical wave in the multimode oscillating section due to variations in the path-length difference and tunneling of interfering beams. Accuracies of temperature and relative deformation measurements of +/- 2A degrees C and +/- 10(-5), respectively, are demonstrated. The estimation of the ultimate measurement sensitivity of the resonance frequency is based on the approximate calculation of the Allan variance that shows a possibility of the above sensors with temperature and deformation threshold sensitivities of 0.001A degrees C and 10(-8), respectively.
