In this paper, we propose a new neural network model termed semantic and episodic associative neural network (SEANN) for natural language processing. The SEANN can deal with both semantic memory and episodic memory by sentences represented in a form of a semantic network. In this model, both semantic memory and episodic memory are represented in triples-representation of concepts. Our model consists of concepts of sentences associative neural network (CSANN) and MAM using area representation. CSANN can recall sentences in a form of triples-representation, and MA M using area representation can recall plural triples-representations from a word. We have carried out computer experiments to confirm the validity of the SEANN for natural language processing. We have investigated that our model can recall plural semantic memories from one word, and can recall semantic memories concerning with episodic memory.

A device used for self-collecting distributed water samples from storm runoff in a small catchment was introduced. The device was composed of four parts, which were water pumping, distributing, collecting, and control systems, respectively. And for the water pumping system, the main components were pump located in the measurement weir and journey switch controlled by float. For the water distributing system, the components were pipe, disc, gear dial, gear, generator, journey switch, tortile pole switch and control shut-off. For the water collecting system, the components were water distributing disc and water containers. One water canal in the distributing disc was connected to one water container under the disc. For the control system, the main components were DC power, journey switch, tortile pole switch and delayed relay. The control system was mainly used for the auto-open and auto-close of pump and generator. Compared with traditional water collecting instruments, its characteristics are higher automatization, more convenient management and more suitable in field.

A self-designed device was introduced which was used for collecting water samples from slope runoff and measuring rate of flow. The device has realized self-measuring, the discharge of slope runoff and the process could be monitored synchronously. The function was based on three components, which were flow meter sensor with tilting bucket, pulse generator, and dotting counter. In addition, the distributed collecting of slope runoff is enabled by ratchet wheel dial, distributing water disc and collecting container. The device could collect water samples and assure rate of flow in any period. Compared with traditional instruments, which was higher automatization, it is ore convenient management, higher precision, disusing electric power, and more suitable in field. The device could be widely used in monitoring soil erosion, or soil and water loss, slope land during a rainfall event.
