User-centric (UC) based cell-free (CF) structures can provide the benefits of coverage enhancement for millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, which is regarded as the key technology of the reliable and high-rate services. In this paper, we propose a new beam selection scheme and precoding algorithm for the UC CF mmWave MIMO system, where a weighted sum-rate maximization problem is formulated. Since the joint design of beam selection and precoding is non-convex and tractable with high complexity, this paper designs the beam selection and precoding separately. Particularly, the proposed beam selection aims at reducing the inter-cluster inter-beam interference, then we also propose a precoding algorithm based on the weighted sum mean-square error (WSMSE) framework, where the precoding matrix can be updated in a distributed manner. We further employ the low-rank decomposition and Neumann series expansion (NSE) to reduce the computational complexity of the precoding. Simulations and complexity analysis verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with a considerable reduction in computational complexity.

aim at the problem of the adjacent cell interference in LTE (long Term Evolution) system, a distributed pre-coding technology based on singular Value Decomposition (SVD) was presented, which need not to exchange user date between the cooperation base station, just need to know the channel state information (CSI) from the baste station to all users (include expected users and adjacent cell users). According to the CSI, The base station can get the pre-coding matrix based on EVO and implementing distributed precoding. Simulation results show that the presented distributed pre-coding method can reduce the inter cell interference and increase the spectral efficiency of users at the cell edge. At the same time, the computational complexity of the presented algorithm is lower than the BD-GMD algorithm and its error bit performance can improve 8dB relative to BD-GMD algorithm when date stream number is 1.

In order to alleviate the multipath interference of the MIMO multi-relay system and improve the system spectrum efficiency,this paper presents a cyclic delay distributed precoding relay *** channel state information(CSI) sent from the source node,according to its phase information and relay node's matrix match,sends the signals to destination node via specific relay node,rather than the tradition broadcasts to all *** at the relay node,we design a distributed precoding cyclic delay relay scheme to improve and balance the destination node's received signal *** last,the receiver achieves the signals coherent combination and completes the system *** results show the proposed distributed precoding scheme improves the system capacity,reduces the encoding complexity,and is well suited for multi-relay system.

We investigate distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) precoding schemes for coping with the intercell interference in a multicell environment. In particular, we introduce the effective channel matrix for two different precoding strategies, referred to as received interference-aware precoding (RIAP) and generated interference-aware precoding (GIAP). Then, we propose a hybrid precoding scheme and a switching scheme. Simulation results are provided to compare the performance in a multicell environment.

Base station cooperation is an attractive way of increasing the spectral efficiency in multiantenna communication. By serving each terminal through several base stations in a given area, intercell interference can be coordinated and higher performance achieved, especially for terminals at cell edges. Most previous work in the area has assumed that base stations have common knowledge of both data dedicated to all terminals and full or partial channel state information (CSI) of all links. Herein, we analyze the case of distributed cooperation where each base station has only local CSI, either instantaneous or statistical. In the case of instantaneous CSI, the beamforming vectors that can attain the outer boundary of the achievable rate region are characterized for an arbitrary number of multiantenna transmitters and single-antenna receivers. This characterization only requires local CSI and justifies distributed precoding design based on a novel virtual signal-to-interference noise ratio (SINR) framework, which can handle an arbitrary SNR and achieves the optimal multiplexing gain. The local power allocation between terminals is solved heuristically. Conceptually, analogous results for the achievable rate region characterization and precoding design are derived in the case of local statistical CSI. The benefits of distributed cooperative transmission are illustrated numerically, and it is shown that most of the performance with centralized cooperation can be obtained using only local CSI.

This study focuses on local channel correlation based zero-forcing (ZF) precoding design for boosting weighted ergodic sum-rate (WESR) in the cooperative two-cell multiple-input single-output system. We first present that the WESRs of the statistical channel state information (SCSI) aided general eigenvector coordinated beamforming (SCSI-GE) and the conventional ZF beamforming with erroneous instantaneous channel state information (ICSI;eICSI-ZF) saturate to constant values at high SNR due to inter-cell interference. Motivated by this, we develop a ZF coordination framework with local SCSI requirement at the transmitter and low data-sharing backhaul load. Additionally, a low-cost but effective two-dimensional ZF precoding design called 2d-SZF is proposed, which involves only distributed computations based on the local channel correlation. Theoretical analysis and simulation results confirm that the proposed local SCSI-based 2d-SZF scheme yields the most desirable WESR while the WESRs of SCSI-GE and eICSI-ZF both saturate in the high regime of SNR, and are respectively sensitive to the level of spatial channel correlation and ICSI accuracy at finite SNR.

We propose a distributed artificial noise-assisted precoding scheme for secure communications over wiretap multi-input multi-output (MIMO) interference channels, where K legitimate transmitter-receiver pairs communicate in the presence of a sophisticated eavesdropper having more receive-antennas than the legitimate user. Realistic constraints are considered by imposing statistical error bounds for the channel state information of both the eavesdropping and interference channels. Based on the asynchronous distributed pricing model, the proposed scheme maximizes the total utility of all the users, where each user's utility function is defined as the secrecy rate minus the interference cost imposed on other users. Using the weighted minimum mean square error, Schur complement and sign-definiteness techniques, the original non-concave optimization problem is approximated with high accuracy as a quasi-concave problem, which can be solved by the alternating convex search method. Simulation results consolidate our theoretical analysis and show that the proposed scheme outperforms the artificial noise-assisted interference alignment and minimum total mean-square error-based schemes.

The weighted sum mean squared error minimization (WMMSE) algorithm has gained widespread adoption owing to its superior performance. In this letter, we propose a novel low-complexity distributed WMMSE (LCD-WMMSE) algorithm, which is implemented over a decentralized architecture based on ring topology. Although each distributed unit (DU) in LCD-WMMSE works only with the local channel state information (CSI), LCD-WMMSE algorithm is still able to approach the performance of traditional WMMSE. Moreover, we show that LCD-WMMSE is also scalable since its required interconnection bandwidth is independent of the number of transmitter antennas, making it promising to various scenarios of massive MIMO. Simulation results validate that the proposed LCD-WMMSE algorithm not only achieves the low complexity cost in a distributed manner but also exhibits negligible performance loss.

UL-DL Duality for Cell-Free Massive MIMO With Per-AP Power and Information Constraints

We derive a novel uplink-downlink duality principle for optimal joint precoding design under per-transmitter power and information constraints in fading channels. The information constraints model limited sharing of channel state information and data bearing signals across the transmitters. The main application is to cell-free networks, where each access point (AP) must typically satisfy an individual power constraint and form its transmit signal using limited cooperation capabilities. Our duality principle applies to ergodic achievable rates given by the popular hardening bound, and it can be interpreted as a nontrivial generalization of a previous result by Yu and Lan for deterministic channels. This generalization allows us to study involved information constraints going beyond the simple case of cluster-wise centralized precoding covered by previous techniques. Specifically, we show that the optimal joint precoders are, in general, given by an extension of the recently developed team minimum mean-square error method. As a particular yet practical example, we then solve the problem of optimal local precoding design in user-centric cell-free massive MIMO networks subject to per-AP power constraints.
