Stock market trading is a complicated task when considering the profit earning due to the dynamic and complex behavior of the stock market. Kelly criterion is an optimal strategy which is used for betting systems and also for stock market investing or trading. There are several models which have modeled Kelly Criterion to the stock market. However, those models are only theoretical models with lack of practical validity. Practical behavior, dynamicity of the stock market and giving clear decisions to traders are not concerned in the existing models implemented using Kelly criterion to stock market. Also validation of models with real stock market have not being conducted. This paper uses order book and trades as information sources, in order to solve the above stipulated problems in one selected model. Then, this paper presents a dynamic computational model of Kelly criterion for stock traders with order book and trades in order to give trader decisions.

This paper introduces a hierarchical design model for embedded systems which includes models of the application, the embedded system and the resources. The application model deals with locations to better describe distributed architectures. A location-driven method for design of distributed embedded systems is proposed as a direct extension of the design model. The method allows to benefit from fuzzy relationships between I/O variables and locations. An example shows a 29% reduction of the hardware complexity measured in number of pins. The paper introduces a dynamic computational model and a software tool named CASTLE. The tool automatically inserts power management code for small systems.

The design of dynamic torsional vibration dampers of piston internal combustion engines is generally based on the principle of a dynamic damper with one degree of freedom in which the coupling of the seismic mass of the damper to the basic dynamic system is realized by a two-parameter parallel rheological model. With known realizations of this principle, it is usually difficult to achieve the optimum value of the respective damper parameters determined from the computationalmodels, which is particularly true for optimal damping values. A dynamic torsional damper, based on the series arrangement principle of the elastic and damping element, offers better design options to achieve the optimum parameters of both the elastic and damping elements.

Reducing of frictional losses between moving parts of drivelines is a permanently current topic for both conventional internal combustion engines and modern hybrid or electric drives. The application of low viscosity oils leads to the reduction of friction losses of moving engine components and thus to low fuel consumption. Further measures to increase efficiency, such as reducing the oil flow rate, must also be taken into account in their effect on functional behavior. All in all, these measures place increased demands on the functionality and durability of engine components such as piston rings and plain bearings. The effects of low viscosity engine oils on piston rings and plain bearings can be evaluated using specific computational tools and newly developed test methods. Another option to reduce the power dissipation in drive units is the application of a suitable torsional vibration damper type.

Rubber torsional dampers with one degree of freedom are a long-time proven tool for vibration damping in crank mechanisms, especially for passenger cars. Their advantages include, in particular, a relatively simple design and low production costs. The viscoelastic coupling of the damper ring with the basic dynamic system is realized by a rubber spring made of natural or synthetic rubber. The disadvantages of rubber dampers are, in particular, insufficient damping properties of the rubber spring compared with the optimal values resulting from the respective calculation models. This limits the application of rubber dampers to larger power units, such as diesel engines for tractors and trucks. The article deals with the design and optimization of the parameters of an unconventional rubber torsional damper with two degrees of freedom, which even with limited damping parameters of the rubber springs shows a significantly higher damping effect compared to the common design of rubber dampers with one degree of freedom.

Microbial communities offer vast potential across numerous sectors but remain challenging to systematically control. We develop a two-stage approach to guide the taxonomic composition of synthetic microbiomes by precisely manipulating media components and initial species abundances. By combining high-throughput experiments and computationalmodeling, we demonstrate the ability to predict and design the diversity of a 10-member synthetic human gut community. We reveal that critical environmental factors governing monoculture growth can be leveraged to steer microbial communities to desired states. Furthermore, systematically varied initial abundances drive variation in community assembly and enable inference of pairwise inter-species interactions via a dynamic ecological model. These interactions are overall consistent with conditioned media experiments, demonstrating that specific perturbations to a high-richness community can provide rich information for building dynamic ecological models. This model is subsequently used to design low-richness communities that display low or high temporal taxonomic variability over an extended period.
