The DFIG is excited by convertor which is connected rotor. The performance of wind turbine is despended on the matching conditions of the DFIG and convertor. And the DFIG equivalent circuit parameter will influence the generator electromagnetic design. Based on the equivalent circuit and the test data, this paper put forward a kind of theory and calculation method to separate the equivalent circuit parameter of DFIG, and the rationality of this method is proved by comparing the result of test and calculation.

In this paper, the effects of placing a longitudinal slot in the channel region of a rectangular waveguide ENZ structure, are analyzed. A following investigation showed that changing the length of this slot can be employed to achieve tuning of only the tunneling frequency. Maximum resonant frequency shift reported is 11%. In addition, the equivalent circuit for the ENZ structure with this kind of slot configuration was derived with an excellent agreement between numerical and full-wave simulations.

In this paper, we use modified form of Bethe's small hole coupling theory to compute equivalent circuit parameters of an aperture coupled open resonator cavity. The open resonator cavity is composed of spherical mirrors of circular cross section. The cavity is coupled to a rectangular waveguide by means of a common hole in the mirror and the shorted end wall of the rectangular waveguide. Closed form expressions have been obtained for the equivalent circuit parameters. Experiments conducted in the W-band frequency range show good agreement with theory when an experimentally estimated correction to the transmission coefficient is applied for the thickness of the coupling holes.

For designing canned solid-rotor induction motors, the conventional induction motor circuit is inadequate. Here we present an alternative equivalent circuit, one that reflects the eddy currents in all regions (cans and rotor body). The proposed model operates on a per-phase basis at a single frequency. We confirm the validity of the new equivalent circuit with numerical and analytical solutions. We also consider certain assumptions that make the analytical approach simpler.

Characterization of dissipation factors in terms of piezoelectric equivalent circuit parameters

The equivalent circuit of a piezoelectric ceramic is established composed of the equivalent circuit parameters derived from the complex materials coefficients. The equivalent circuit parameters are connected to real and imaginary parts of the complex materials coefficients of the piezoelectric ceramics. With respect to the definition of dissipation factors, the dielectric, elastic, and piezoelectric dissipation factors which represent the losses in the materials are thus expressed through the equivalent circuit parameters. In temperature and stress experiments, by measuring the equivalent circuit parameters during the process of the temperature and stress changes, three dissipation factors are computed. Compared with the results of other previous research, a similar increase of the elastic dissipation factor with stress is observed. Moreover, it is also found that the elastic dissipation factor reaches its saturation over a stress level of about 10 MPa. The responses of dissipation factors in lower temperature (-30 degrees C to 20 degrees C) are studied.

Estimation of equivalent circuit parameters of PV module and its application to optimal operation of PV system

A method to estimate the equivalent circuit parameters of a PV (photovoltaic) module is presented. The parameters are calculated using a least-squares fitting of the equivalent model current-voltage characteristic with the measured one. For applications of the equivalent circuit model parameters, a quantitative diagnostic method of the PV modules by evaluating the parameters is introduced and examined by simulation. A new maximum peak power tracking (MPPT) method using the model parameters, a solar insolation, and a cell temperature is also shown. Its performance is compared with other MPPT control algorithms by simulations. The performance of the proposed method was better than other MPPT methods. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. Robust complex non-linear regression method for the estimation of equivalent circuit parameters of the thickness-shear-mode acoustic wave sensor

Fluctuation in characteristic parameters of the equivalent circuit for the thickness-stear-mode (TSM) acoustic wave sensor is a troublesome problem encountered in their practical applications. It is due to interference from normal and non-normal noise of an impedance analyzer. A robust complex non-linear regression, called complex least trimmed squares regression (CLTSR), is described and utilized in the parameter estimation to alleviate the fluctuation in this article. The results for simulated data indicated that, when the noise distribution was not normal, the CLTSR yields the more robust results than the ordinary complex least squares regression (OCLSR), when the noise distribution was normal, almost the same estimates can be achieved with these two regression methods. The results for the real data indicated that, the noise in experiment could not be regarded as normal distribution. The CLTSR can eliminate the system error and alleviate the parameter fluctuation, especially fluctuation in L-m and C-m. The robust method, therefore, provides a safe alternative to OCLSR and other widely used methods. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Analytical method for determining equivalent circuit parameters of GaAs FET's

An analytical method has been developed that gives a simple and practical means of extracting small-signal equivalent circuit parameters (ECP's) of GaAs FET's with negligibly small bond-pad capacitances. Only the S-parameter measurement of the pinched-off cold field-effect transistor (FET) is enough to determine the extrinsic FET ECP's. The intrinsic FET ECP's of a medium-power Ku-band GaAs FET chip with a total gate width of 800 mu m have been analytically extracted for two types of eight-element intrinsic FET models;Model 1 (Curtice model) and Model 2 that differ in the control voltage (V-G) definition, Model 2 with V-G defined across the gate-source capacitance is found more appropriate judging from the smaller frequency dependence of the ECP's and a better agreement between the calculated and measured S-parameters over 2-20 GHz.

Precise Derivation for the equivalent circuit parameters of a Crystal Resonator with Series Capacitor

An exact formula for the equivalent circuit of a crystal resonator in series with a capacitor is derived. Network analysis is used to obtain an exact formula for the equivalent circuit parameters without applying any approximations. The result is an expansion of that obtained by those who used assumptions regarding high frequency, high quality factor, high capacitance ratio, and so on. Hence, this formula can be used for instances of low quality factor or low capacitance ratio, and even for the actual inductor-capacitor network as long as these devices have the same equivalent circuits. The enhanced accuracy of the new formula extends itself to oscillator frequency calibration, temperature compensation, and electronic frequency control.
