In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of electricity meter measurement, ensure the stable operation of the power system and the economic interests of users, a smart electricity meter measurement error correction method based on adaptive weight FAHP is proposed. Construct a measurement error correction index system for smart energy meters, use comparative analysis methods to quantify and process fuzzy comprehensive evaluation indicators, determine the weight of evaluation indicators based on AHP algorithm, apply membership function method to calculate the membership degree of evaluation indicators, obtain a set of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation indicator membership degrees, and calculate the measurement error correction results of smart energy meters through fuzzy comprehensive method. The experimental results show that this method maintains high accuracy while reducing calibration time, providing strong support for the stable operation of the power system and the economic benefits of users. © 2024 SPIE.

This talk will survey the role of algebraic fields in general and of the Fourier transform in particular in the engineering problems of digital signal processing and of error control codes. The premise of the talk is that there are close ties between the subjects of digital signal processing and of error control codes. For a variety of reasons, the subject of error control codes has been highly algebraic. The use of algebraic methods has developed more slowly in digital signal processing. By surveying the computational procedures, we hope to stimulate new methods and applications. The plan of the talks is to survey the structure of useful algebraic fields, then examine the Fourier transform in an arbitrary field. Finally, we shall discuss the role of algebraic fields and of Fourier transforms in a variety of applications. From a computational point of view, the algorithms used in digital signal processors and in error correcting decoders are often quite similar. From an applications point of view it may be inefficient to separate these two tasks into distinct subsystems of an implementation. The future may very well see a blurring of the line between the traditional tasks of filtering and the traditional tasks of error control. Indeed, both of these tasks, broadly stated, involve the removal of noise from a received signal.

In this paper we present the effect of channel coding on the performance of data hiding in images. The bit error rate (BER) associated with the watermark decoding is obtained when convolutional and concatenated codes are employed. The approach is adapted to make retrieval possible for applications where the original host is not available to the receiver. Experimental results are shown for both algorithms.

This thesis investigates four FEC (forward error correction) coding schemes for their suitabilityfor a broadcast system where there is one energy-rich transmitter and many energy-constrainedreceivers with a variety of channel conditions. The four coding schemes are: repetition codes (thebaseline scheme); Reed-Solomon (RS) codes; Luby-Transform (LT) codes; and a type of RS andLT concatenated codes. The schemes were tested in terms of their ability to achieve both highaverage data reception success probability and short data reception time at the receivers (due tolimited energy). The code rate (Rc) is fixed to either 1/2 or 1/3. Two statistical channel models wereemployed: the memoryless channel and the Gilbert-Elliott channel. The investigation consideredonly the data-link layer behaviour of the schemes. During the course of the investigation, animprovement to the original LT encoding process was made, the name LTAM (LT codes withAdded Memory) was given to this improved coding method. LTAM codes reduce the overheadneeded for decoding short-length messages. The improvement can be seen for decoding up to10000 number of user packets. The maximum overhead reduction is as much as 10% over theoriginal LT *** LT-type codes were found to have the property that can both achieve high success datareception performance and flexible switch off time for the receivers. They are also adaptable todifferent channel characteristics. Therefore it is a prototype of the ideal coding scheme that thisproject is looking for. This scheme was then further developed by applying an RS code as aninner code to further improve the success probability of packet reception. The results show thatLT&RS code has a significant improvement in the channel error tolerance over that of the LTcodes without an RS code applied. The trade-off is slightly more reception time needed and moredecoding complexity. This LT&RS code is then determined to be the best scheme that fulfils theaim in the context of this

The conversion from the source protocol to the target protocol is achieved by mapping the header of the source protocol to the header of the target protocol. A single conversion process from the source protocol to the target protocol is referred to as a session. In a heterogeneous protocol conversion system, there are complex mapping relationships between different source and target protocols. To address the complexities of mapping relationships between heterogeneous protocols and the difficulties in session management, a session management system for heterogeneous protocol conversion was designed and implemented. Experiments show that the designed session management system can establish a protocol mapping rule table and extract the protocol mapping rules corresponding to the current session. This management system achieves efficient and flexible session management, providing support for protocol conversion. © 2024 SPIE.

NIST launched the CAESAR competition for the world in 2014, followed by the current LWC competition. The design and security analysis on authenticated encryption (AE) algorithm have aroused a great upsurge in the world, aiming to meet the needs of the confidentiality and authenticity of the information. At the same time, all kinds of ingenious design and the corresponding security analysis emerged in endlessly. Although the SCREAM algorithm failed to be selected in the third round of CAESAR competition, based on its unique design, it still has a good reference and research significance to carry out safety analysis. In this thesis, according to the relative independence of each module of the SCREAM algorithm structure, the Chosen-message forgery attack of SCREAM was proposed under the condition of one or more pairs of ciphertext, so as to forge the ciphertext and generate the correct authentication tag to pass the verification. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of this method was proved, and the corresponding probability of success was provided. Compared with the existing analysis results, this method has better operability and universality. © 2022 SPIE

The requirement for image placement accuracy on photomask has been rising. The ITRS road map says that we need to achieve 4.3nm accuracy in 2012 for HP 36nm device with single exposure process, further more we must achieve 3.0nm accuracy if double patterning process is selected. Fig.1 shows the today's performance of image placement accuracy. Some sample photomasks which have same pattern shape are produced during 3 months, and the mask to mask overlay accuracy of them was measured. The average of them was 3.6nm. This data shows the possibility to achieve the accuracy of photomask for HP 36nm devices. The image placement accuracy of actual device pattern during same period is showed in Fig.2. The image placement accuracy of actual device pattern is worse than that showed before. We categorized these data according to the pattern density, low density pattern and the high density pattern. The density of the test pattern is categorized into very low density pattern. The results are showed in Fig.3. We can see the degrading of image place accuracy according to the pattern density. This degrading of image placement accuracy is caused by resist charging effect. In photomask production process, electron beam writer is mainly used as lithography tool. Each pattern on photomask is formed by step by step exposure of electron beam. The surface of resist film will be charged with exposed electron beam, and electric field will be generated around that charged area. So the orbit of electron beam for next exposure will be bended by the electric field which generated by previous beam shot, and image placement accuracy will degrade. To achieve the demanded image placement accuracy, we need to remove the error caused by this phenomenon. We researched in resist charging effect for correcting it, and we studied that this phenomenon have so complex feature. We present a formal protocol description for a Just-In-Time (JIT) signaling scheme running over a core dWDM network which utilizes Optical Burst Switches (OBS). We apply an eight-tuple extended finite state machine (EFSM) model to formally specify the protocol. Using the EFSM model, we define the communication between a source client node and a destination client node through an ingress and one or multiple intermediate switches. We worked on single burst connections that means setting up the connection just before sending a single burst and then closing the connection as soon as the burst is sent. The communication between the EFSMs is handled through message transfer between protocol entities.

One of the challenges in using either ground- or space--based high power lasers is keeping the beam on target in spite of various disturbances. Active control is one of the methods for maintaining laser beam direction. It requires (1) a Sensor which monitors the beam path and sends an error signal to the controller when the beam is misaligned; (2) the controller, after processing the error signal, sends a correction signal to (3) Actuators which control the position of (4) a Beam Steering Mirror (BSM), also in the optical path of the laser beam. The correction signal is designed to change the position of the BSM to that the laser beam is brought back on target. Since it is not obvious how a system of this sort will respond to various disturbances, it is helpful to be able to simulate such a system, during the design stages, so that one might have confidence that the system will work if it gets to the hardware stage. Before applying MSC/NASTRAN to the real systern,it seemed advisable to check out the implementation of MSC/NASTRAN on a small structures-optics-controls system that had the flavor of the real system but far less complexity. In that way it was hoped that procedural errors would be minimized when MSC/NASTRAN was used to analyze the real system. This paper explains the implementation of MSC/NASTRAN as applied to the analysis of a Small Structures-Optics-controls System (SSOCS), a sketch of which is shown in Figure 1. The SSOCS comprises a Beam Steering Mirror (BSM) supported by two Voice-Coil Actuators (VCA's) (on structural support springs "8" and "9") which change the position of the BSM, a Disturbed Mirror (DM) (on structural support springs "6","7", and "57"), a Sensor which monitors translational and angular misalignrnents in the beam path, and a controller which receives the error signals from the Sensor and sends correction signals to the VCA's.
