The paper addressed the filtering and prediction problems with using nonparametric algorithms for discrete stochastic systems with unknown input. The designed algorithms are based on combining the Kalman filter and nonparametric estimator. The optimal properties of the explored algorithms are proved. Examples are given to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed approach.

In Steganography, the total message will be invisible into a cover media such as text, audio, video, and image in which attackers don't have any idea about the original message that the media contain and which algorithm use to embed or extract it. In this paper, the proposed technique has focused on Bitmap image as it is uncompressed and convenient than any other image format to implement LSB Steganography method. For better security AES cryptography technique has also been used in the proposed method. Before applying the Steganography technique, AES cryptography will change the secret message into cipher text to ensure two layer security of the message. In the proposed technique, a new Steganography technique is being developed to hide large data in Bitmap image using filtering based algorithm, which uses MSB bits for filtering purpose. This method uses the concept of status checking for insertion and retrieval of message. This method is an improvement of Least Significant Bit (LSB) method for hiding information in images. It is being predicted that the proposed method will able to hide large data in a single image retaining the advantages and discarding the disadvantages of the traditional LSB method. Various sizes of data are stored inside the images and the PSNR are also calculated for each of the images tested. Based on the PSNR value, the Stego image has higher PSNR value as compared to other method. Hence the proposed Steganography technique is very efficient to hide the secret information inside an image.

Ensemble prediction modeling of flotation recovery based on machine learning

With the rise of artificial intelligence(AI)in mineral processing,predicting the flotation indexes has attracted significant research ***,current prediction models suffer from low accuracy and high prediction ***,this paper utilizes a two-step ***,the outliers are pro-cessed using the box chart method and filtering ***,the decision tree(DT),support vector regression(SVR),random forest(RF),and the bagging,boosting,and stacking integration algorithms are employed to construct a flotation recovery prediction *** experiments compared the prediction accuracy of six modeling methods on flotation recovery and delved into the impact of diverse base model combinations on the stacking model’s prediction *** addition,field data have veri-fied the model’s *** study demonstrates that the stacking ensemble approaches,which uses ten variables to predict flotation recovery,yields a more favorable prediction effect than the bagging ensemble approach and single models,achieving MAE,RMSE,R2,and MRE scores of 0.929,1.370,0.843,and 1.229%,*** hit rates,within an error range of±2%and±4%,are 82.4%and 94.6%.Consequently,the prediction effect is relatively precise and offers significant value in the context of actual production.

Music Matching Based on Rough Longest Common Subsequence

In this paper we proposed a music matching method, called the RLCS (rough longest common subsequence) method. It is an improved version of the LCS to avoid some problems occurring in global alignment matching. First a rough equality for two notes is defined for constructing the RLCS of two music fragments. The length of the RLCS of two music sequences defined in this work is a real number, called a weighted length. It is evaluated according to the degree of similarity of every pair of matched notes from the two sequences. This method takes into account both the width-across-query (WAQ) and the width-across-reference (WAR) and combines them with the weighted length of the corresponding RLCS to define a score measurement for the RLCS. The measurement associated with WAQ and WAR enables the proposed method to tolerate dense errors. A dynamic programming algorithm is presented for simultaneously calculating the weighted length of RLCS, the WAQ, the WAR, and the score to determine the RLCS. As a result, the proposed method can perform the matching in a better and simpler manner. In order to speed up the matching process, we use the filtering algorithm proposed by Tarhio and Ukkonen [22] to filter the reference and discard most of the reference areas that do not match. We applied the proposed algorithm to content-based music retrieval. The experimental results showed that with our proposed algorithm the retrieval system provides a higher retrieval rate than that with the local alignment method proposed by Suyoto et al. [20]. The use of the filtering algorithm has been shown to greatly reduce the computation time for exact matching and for approximate matching with a low error tolerance.

Correct approximation of IEEE 754 floating-point arithmetic for program verification

Verification of programs using floating-point arithmetic is challenging on several accounts. One of the difficulties of reasoning about such programs is due to the peculiarities of floating-point arithmetic: rounding errors, infinities, non-numeric objects (NaNs), signed zeroes, denormal numbers, different rounding modes, etc. One possibility to reason about floating-point arithmetic is to model a program computation path by means of a set of ternary constraints of the form and use constraint propagation techniques to infer new information on the variables' possible values. In this setting, we define and prove the correctness of algorithms to precisely bound the value of one of the variables x, y or z, starting from the bounds known for the other two. We do this for each of the operations and for each rounding mode defined by the IEEE 754 binary floating-point standard, even in the case the rounding mode in effect is only partially known. This is the first time that such so-called filtering algorithms are defined and their correctness is formally proved. This is an important slab for paving the way to formal verification of programs that use floating-point arithmetics.

Airborne position and orientation system (POS) can provide high accuracy motion parameters for multiple aerial mission loads and has become a vital equipment in aerial remote sensing system. However, the airborne POS often suffers from the systematic kinematic model and observation model inaccuracy, which further affects the accuracy of motion parameters, and the conventional innovation-based adaptive method only deals with the observation model inaccuracy and results in the limited performance improvement. In this paper, a dual adaptive factors filtering algorithm is adopted to deal with the kinematic model and observation model inaccuracy together, which has been validated by the real flight experiment and the results show that the performance improvement has achieved.

Recommendation Based Trust Model with an Effective Defence Scheme for MANETs

The reliability of delivering packets through multi-hop intermediate nodes is a significant issue in the mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). The distributed mobile nodes establish connections to form the MANET, which may include selfish and misbehaving nodes. Recommendation based trust management has been proposed in the literature as a mechanism to filter out the misbehaving nodes while searching for a packet delivery route. However, building a trust model that adopts recommendations by other nodes in the network is a challenging problem due to the risk of dishonest recommendations like bad-mouthing, ballot-stuffing, and collusion. This paper investigates the problems related to attacks posed by misbehaving nodes while propagating recommendations in the existing trust models. We propose a recommendation based trust model with a defence scheme, which utilises clustering technique to dynamically filter out attacks related to dishonest recommendations between certain time based on number of interactions, compatibility of information and closeness between the nodes. The model is empirically tested under several mobile and disconnected topologies in which nodes experience changes in their neighbourhood leading to frequent route changes. The empirical analysis demonstrates robustness and accuracy of the trust model in a dynamic MANET environment.

Solutions to mitigate the impact of measurement noise on the air pollution source strength estimation in a multi-zone building

Indoor contaminants jeopardize people's health and may even cause serious consequences under extreme conditions. Therefore, the prompt and accurate identification of indoor airborne contaminant characteristics is significant for indoor health and safety. In this paper, we used an inverse Markov chain model, combined with the regularization proposed in our previous research, to identify periodic source strength under steady airflow in a multi-zone building. The impact of different measurement noise (0.05％, 0.1％, 0.2％) on the inverse results was investigated. The results showed that the greater the noise, the greater the oscillation of the inverse result. Furthermore, we also investigated the effect of adjusting the calculation time step (5 s, 10 s, 20 s, 30 s) and adding digital filters (Sliding window filter and Butterworth low pass filter) on the inverse source release rate. The results showed that properly increasing the calculation time step can reduce the impact of measurement noise. The root mean square error (RMSE) of the inverse source strength with 0.1％ noise decreased from 22.89 under a 5-s time step to 0.9793 under a 30-s time step. It was also found that adding digital filters could reduce the oscillation of the inverse source results, and the performance of the filters also depends on the calculation time steps.

In the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence, the integration of multimedia and human-artificial intelligence has become an important research hotspot. Especially in the multimedia environment, effective remote visual monitoring has become the exploration direction of many scholars. The use of traditional correlation filtering (CF) algorithm for real-time monitoring in the context of multimedia is a practical strategy. However, most existing filtering-based visual monitoring algorithms still have the problem of insufficient robustness and effectiveness. Therefore, by considering the strategy of updating human memory, this paper proposes a multi-layer template update mechanism to achieve effective monitoring in a multimedia environment. In this strategy, the weighted template of the high-confidence matching memory is used as the confidence memory, and the unweighted template of the low-confidence matching memory is used as the cognitive memory. Through the alternate use of confidence memory, matching memory, and cognitive memory, it is ensured that the target will not be lost during the monitoring process. Experimental results show that this strategy does not affect the speed (still real-time) and improves the robustness in the multimedia background.

Trust Management Strategy for Digital Twins in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

As an essential part of mobile networks, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are beneficial to the improvement of traffic efficiency and safety through real-time information sharing between vehicles. Digital Twins (DT) have been utilized to facilitate the design, testing, and deployment of VANETs. However, constructing Digital Twins still faces interference from malicious vehicles. Despite most vehicles following communication rules honestly, the reliability and authenticity of traffic messages cannot be guaranteed due to the network's openness and vulnerability. Meanwhile, vehicles may suffer tracking attacks during the interaction without an effective privacy-preserving method, leading to the leakage of sensitive data. To address these issues, a decentralized trust management scheme embedded with blockchain that considers identity authentication is proposed to detect malicious DT-vehicles. In our method, each vehicle in the Digital Twin of VANETs (DT-VANETs) is equipped with a certificate recorded on the blockchain as a legal identity, which is also served as a pseudonym for security during message transmission. The trustworthiness of the vehicle is evaluated based on direct trust and recommendation trust. Direct interaction between vehicles consists of message authenticity verification and active detection, which are the basis of direct trust calculation. For other vehicles, these direct trust opinions are treated as second-hand information to obtain recommendation trust. Unreliable recommendations are filtered by our proposed RTF algorithm, further resisting cooperation attacks. Vehicles judged to be malicious will have their certificates revoked and removed from DT-VANETs, providing a guarantee for the establishment of trust in DT-VANETs. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can effectively resist malicious attacks in DT-VANETs.
