It is studied about parallel algorithm of lattice boltzmann method. The data's arrangement, commutation and computational progress are redesigned in a marriage of Message Passing Interface and General Purpose Graphic Processing Units. On the single-GPU, novel techniques appearing in Shader Model 3.0 such as frame buffer object (FBO), multiple-channels-rendering and, rendering-to-textures are used to improve computational efficiency. On Multiple-GPUs, MPI is used to extend available mesh size and accomplish parallel algorithm. Consequently, the problem of excessively enormous mesh such as the size of 1024*1024, which could not be calculated on single GPU, is resolved in this paper. Moreover, the computational time of the instance-velocity vector of incompressible fluid is merely 0.585 second/step, a speed which is about 5.0 times faster than that of a single CPU implementation.

Volume rendering is a useful method to visualize scientific simulation and medical data. However, it is a time-consuming rendering process. To achieve smooth interaction, many accelerative methods have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a two-pass rendering method based on the concept of shrinking rendering area. We also apply new features provided by the latest graphics hardware, such as render-to-texture (RTT) and frame buffer object (FBO), to achieve optimized performance. Eventually, we measure four different cases and offer some preferential settings when using this technique.

Táto práca popisuje a implementuje metódu zobrazovania volumetrických dát. Hlavným účelom je vizualizovať nasnímané 3D dáta jednou zo súčasných metód pre získavanie 3D volumetrických dát. Takéto metódy sa veľmi často používajú v medicíne a chémii. Systém využíva na zobrazovanie dát programovateľný pipeline súčasných grafických kariet, ktorý umožňuje rýchle paralelné spracovanie veľkých objemov dát. V projekte je popísaný teoretický úvod do problematiky volumetrických dát, tiež obsahuje návrh systému a nakoniec popis implementácie. Výsledkom projektu je aplikácia ktorá s využitím OpenGL vykresľuje volumetrické dáta.
