Recently high-trustworthy software has been proposed and advocated by many academic and engineering communities. High-trustworthy algorithm is core to high-trustworthy software. In this paper, using PAR method we derive formally a high-trustworthy generic algorithmic program for solving general single-source path problems. Common characteristics of these path problems can be abstracted into an algebra structure-dioid. Some typical graph algorithms, such as Bellman-Ford single-source shortest path algorithm, Reachability problem algorithm, and Bottleneck problem algorithm, etc. are all instances of the generic algorithmic program. Our approach mainly employs formal derivation technology and generic technology. Main contribution is combining the two techniques into a systemic approach, which aims to develop high-trustworthy generic algorithmic program for solving general problems. According to our approach, the correctness, reliability, safety and development efficiency of algorithmic programs are greatly improved. It is expected to be a promising approach to develop high-trustworthy generic algorithmic program.

As the tracked vehicles often run in harsh environments, a certain type of tracked vehicles with hydrodynamic and hydrostatic steering mechanism often have a big pressure fluctuation in the hydrostatic system in the steering process and the steering properties are seriously affected. In order to smoothly match the hydrodynamic and hydrostatic steering mechanism, we implemented the electro-hydraulic proportional valves instead of the oil-filling valves that equipped in the real vehicle and modeled the steering system in the Matlab/Simulink platform in this paper. A PID controller that optimized by the generic algorithm (GA) can control the oil flow into the hydraulic equipped according to the fluctuation of pressure was designed. The simulation results showed that the optimized system inhibit the pressure fluctuation well, with a rapid dynamic response and good steering performance.

In the process of QoS-sensitive business, the user not only cares about whether the function of the process will be finished successfully, but also pays great attention to the QoS of the whole ***, how to make a choice among the candidate web services so that the selected ones can not only finish the assigned task and conform to the local restriction, but also can cooperate with other web services and optimize the Qo S of the process, becomes a key problem. In order to solve this problem, an ontology model of the web service quality attributes and an approach based on the generic algorithm were proposed. The experimental results show the effectiveness of this method.

Reactive power optimization is an effective method for improving the electricity quality and reducing the power loss in power system. Reactive power optimization is a higher dimensional ,nonlinear and complicated optimizing problem, in which continuous and discrete variables coexist. This article presents "cataclysmic GA", combining the "Roulette Wheel" and "Tournament". Self-adaptive adjusting operators in GA based on the number of iterate and performance of units, speeds up the con-vengeance. The IEEE6 power system, are taken in optimization.

Waveform inversion of shallow seismic refraction data using hybrid heuristic search method

We propose a waveform inversion method for SH-wave data obtained in a shallow seismic refraction survey, to determine a 2Dinhomogeneous S-wave profile of shallow soils. In this method, a 2.5D equation is used to simulate SH-wave propagation in 2D media. The equation is solved with the staggered grid finite-difference approximation to the 4th-order in space and 2nd-order in time, to compute a synthetic wave. The misfit, defined using differences between calculated and observed waveforms, is minimised with a hybrid heuristic search method. We parameterise a 2D subsurface structural model with blocks with different depth boundaries, and S-wave velocities in each block. Numerical experiments were conducted using synthetic SH-wave data with white noise for a model having a blind layer and irregular interfaces. We could reconstruct a structure including a blind layer with reasonable computation time from surface seismic refraction data.

Text feature selection using ant colony optimization

Feature selection and feature extraction are the most important steps in classification systems. Feature selection is commonly used to reduce dimensionality of datasets with tens or hundreds of thousands of features which Would be impossible to process further. One of the problems in which feature selection is essential is text categorization. A major problem of text categorization is the high dimensionality of the feature space;therefore, feature selection is the most important step in text categorization. At present there are many methods to deal with text feature selection. To improve the performance of text categorization, we present a novel feature selection algorithm that is based on ant colony optimization. Ant colony optimization algorithm is inspired by observation on real ants in their search for the shortest paths to food sources. Proposed algorithm is easily implemented and because of use of a simple classifier in that, its computational complexity is very low. The performance of proposed algorithm is compared to the performance of genetic algorithm, information gain and CHI on the task of feature selection in Reuters-21578 dataset. Simulation results on Reuters-21578 dataset show the Superiority of the proposed algorithm. (c) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Towards optimal workload-aware XML to relational schema mapping

Storing XML documents in relational databases has drawn much attention in recent years because it can leverage existing investments in relational database technologies. Different algorithms have been proposed to map XML DTD/Schema to relational schema in order to store XML data in relational databases. However, most work defines mapping rules based on heuristics without considering application characteristics, hence fails to produce efficient relational schema for various applications. In this paper, we propose a workload-aware approach to generate relational schema from XML data and user specified workload. Our approach adopts the genetic algorithm to find optimal mappings. An elegant encoding method and related operations are proposed to manipulate mappings using bit strings. Various techniques for optimization can be applied to the XML to relational mapping problem based on this representation. We implemented the proposed algorithm and our experiment results showed that our algorithm was more robust and produced better mappings than existing work.

WIMAX has been approved by IEEE 802.16 as a standard to provide a highly data rate transmission, This paper describe a problem in the mesh network Relay station, for instance the problem of how to serve the mobile stations (MSs) which are out of the base station (BS) and Relay station coverage. This paper also proposed a solution for mobile stations out of the coverage of the WIMAX Relay stations mesh Network. Therefore Ad-hoc network defined as a solution by using its admission control schema and apply it on the mobiles inside and outside the Relay station coverage.

The development of manufacturing engineer for aeroengine demands that the monitoring equipment be able to perform in good status, including vibration signal analysis and fault diagnosis. In order to acquire the decisions in accordance with experiment result, one must have a powerful tool of signal feature extraction for fault pattern recognition, which has significant effect on sampled data processing. The wavelet transformation can satisfy transient signal requirements and is applied in representing sampled data or other functions at different scales or resolutions. The wavelet network is introduced as a class of feedforward networks consisted of wavelets, in which the wavelet transformation is utilized for analysis of neural network. The frequently used method is to construct multidimensional mother wavelet by compositing the single dimensional scaling function and wavelet in different dimensions in the tensor product. The generic algorithm is used to complete the parameter determination of wavelet network, acquiring fast convergence speed. The experiment result demonstrates that the combination of wavelet transformation with neural network can remedy the weakness of each other, resulting in network with efficient construction method and fault pattern recognition in good performance.
