This article describes how in the production process of musical instruments, the width between textures in the panel determine their quality directly. In traditional production process, people observe the texture by eyes to determine whether the panel qualified. This method is inefficient and has a large error, which restricts the industrial production of musical instruments. This article proposes a method of quantitative analysis of panel's texture by using digital image processing technology and gray projection algorithm. Since the method is a non-contact one and the key parameters of the panel texture will be acquired, then the selector can determine the suitable panel. Thus, damage to a panel caused by the contact type when manually selected can be avoided. Experiments show that the method has better accuracy which avoids the errors caused by manual measurement and greatly improves the efficiency of panel selection. Therefore, it is of great significance for industrial production of traditional instruments.

A real-time electronic image stabilization motion estimation method based on fast sub- block gray projection algorithm is proposed. In the method, each image is divided into a number of sub-blocks, and sub-blocks are sifted with their gray gradients. After removing sub-blocks whose gray gradients are lower than the given threshold, the calculation amount of projection is reduced and the motion estimation accuracy is improved. Then grayprojection is done in each remained sub- block, and global motion vector of the image is calculated according to the local motion vectors of sub-blocks and the affine motion model. The drawbacks as the local motions reducing the global mo- tion estimation accuracy and traditional gray projection algorithm could not deal with rotation are re- solved well by this algorithm. The experiment results show that the algorithm is more accurate and efficient than the gray projection algorithm.

An active focal plane motion compensation system is presented in this paper. In this system, a high speed matrix CCD sensor is used for image motion detection. The matrix CCD sensor is a auxiliary sensor (about 256X256 pixel) which is installed side by side with the main image sensor of the camera. The main image sensor is putted on a micro-displacement platform which is drived by tow piezoelectric actuators. So the main image sensor can shift in tow directions. In order to realize real-time image motion estimation, the gray projection algorithm is used to calculate image motion vector. To achieve the required accuracy, the operation of the piezoelectric actuator is controlled in a closed loop system. The results of simulation experiments showed that the accuracy of the motion detection can reach 0.5 similar to 1 pixel size, and the compensation can be controlled on the scale of sub pixel. theory analyzing demonstrate that proposed method is reasonable and efficient. It will be helpful for space cameras to acquire high resolution images on unstable space platforms

In order to identify the vibration parameters of a vibrated image, the principle and shortage of the traditional methods that based on image derivative and image transformation are analyzed, and a new parameter identification method is proposed afterward. By placing a high-speed CCD aside the master CCD, the vibration can be sampled accurately, and more information can be obtained for parameter identification. The series frames that captured by high-speed CCD are processed by grayprojectionalgorithm and the vibration extents between adjacent frames along x and y direction are obtained. By using simple triangle operations, the vibration parameters can be identified, and the computational complexity of which can be reduced greatly. The experiment shows that the parameter identification method based on high-speed CCD can identify the parameters of vibration with any form accurately. The precise of parameter identification for linear vibration is less than 2.95%.

The gray scale projectionalgorithm can detect motion vector of image sequential frames in electronic image stabilization. Three-point adaptive searching algorithm is proposed on the basis of single peak characteristics. The procedures are as follows: through equably selecting three points in searching coverage, judging the variation direction of the correlation curve gradient, the searching parameters will be correspondingly adjusted to obtain the motion vector between frames and then motion filtering and image compensation can be carried out. The algorithm has been demonstrated that the faults of large operation load have been overcome by simulation experiments.
