Data communication plays a very important role in the hardware in the loop simulation system. The system architecture of periscope semi-physical simulation system is proposed at first. Then the data communication method based on FINS (Factory Interface Network Service, an Omron communication protocol) between PLC (programmable controller) and PC (personal computer) is introduced. The user's interaction of scene is achieved by PLC. The communication method based on TCP (Transfer Control Protocol) between 2D chart console and scene simulation system is also introduced. The 6-DOF (Degree of freedom) motion model and the scene simulation system are connected by TCP, and a DR (Dead reckoning) method is introduced to solve the data amount problem. The test shows that the simulation system has no error package and no missing in a simulation circle. This can meet the requirements of training, and it is shown to achieve good performance in reliability and real-time.
