indoor location-based service is emerging as the crucial application of the Internet of Things, which promotes the advance of relevant technology in the indoor scenario. Several positioning algorithms are proposed for different indoor configurations in recent years. The fingerprint-based indoor positioning algorithm has drawn much attention because of the good positioning performance without additional hardware. However, the false fingerprint matching frequently incurs due to the complexity of the indoor positioning environment and affects the positioning accuracy. In this article, a principal component analysis (PCA)-assisted indoor positioning algorithm based on the adaptive hierarchical clustering algorithm (PAHC) is proposed, which can improve the positioning accuracy through aggregating the reference points (RPs) and conducting the cluster-based PCA (C-PCA) features extraction. More specifically, a clustering termination method is proposed to obtain reasonable RPs clusters adaptively according to the preset RPs. A two-stage fingerprint matching algorithm is proposed based on the C-PCA to further increase the difference between similar RPs and thus improving the positioning accuracy. To verify the proposed algorithm, an indoor wireless system is established in the practical indoor scenario. The experimental results indicate that the proposed PAHC algorithm can increase the positioning accuracy by 9.3% compared with the conventional fingerprint algorithm.

The traditional indoor positioning method based on the received signal strength indicator has low positioning accuracy and poor stability. To improve the positioning accuracy of the indoor environment, an indoor positioning method based on Bootstrap filtering CSI ranging model is proposed. Firstly, the least square method is used to fit the ranging model based on effective CSI value. Secondly, Bootstrap Filter is used to smoothing the ranging error of the effective CSI measurement value, and decrease the influence of the process noise. Finally, using the triangulation method to estimate the coordinates of the target position. The positioning method is verified by experiments in a representative indoor environment and compared with two existing classical positioning methods in the same indoor environment. Experiments show that, compared with the existing positioning methods, the method proposed in this paper effectively reduces the ranging error and improves the positioning accuracy.

Research on visible light indoor positioning algorithm based on fire safety

From the perspective of ensuring life safety, combined with the advantages of high-speed time response and energy conservation of white light emitting diodes (LEDs), the visible light indoor positioning algorithm based on fire safety is proposed in the paper. First, the model is designed which needs three LED lights arranged in a straight line and positioned in the geographically north direction on the top of the model. Then, the proposed algorithm is discussed and analyzed when the camera is located at the center of the model and facing north, when the camera is located at the center of the model and the angle is rotated, and when the camera is located at any position of the model, respectively. It can accurately calculate the current position of the camera, its response speed is fast and the positioning accuracy is high. Furthermore, this paper also verifies the practicability and reliability of the algorithm by designing the visible light indoor positioning system based on fire safety rescue in natural environment and smoke environment. The experimental results show that the positioning error does not exceed 0.70 cm in smoke environment.

The paper proposes an improved LANDMARC positioning algorithm to improve the location accuracy of environmental obstacles for medicine care monitoring in neurology. The paper proposes a log path loss correction model and uses the model to compensate the positioning signal to improve the positioning accuracy of the algorithm caused by the attenuation of the indoor positioning signal by the wall. The experimental results show that the LANDMARC positioning algorithm based on the log path loss correction model can improve the positioning accuracy of medical monitoring in neurology.

High-precision indoor positioning algorithm based on visible light communication using complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor image sensor

Visible light positioning (VLP) is widely believed to be a cost-effective answer to the growing demand for indoor positioning. There are two critical elements in VLP: positioning accuracy and real-time ability. Nevertheless, because of the nonlinear and highly complicated relationship between three-dimensional world coordinate and two-dimensional image coordinate, developing an effective VLP location algorithm to locate the positioning facility using complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor image sensor is of great need. Additionally, due to the high computational cost of image processing, most existing VLP systems fail to deliver satisfactory performance regarding real-time ability and positioning accuracy, both of which are crucial for the performance of an indoor positioning algorithm. Therefore, we propose a positioning algorithm: the triple-light positioning algorithm based on a situation with three light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The proposed positioning algorithm takes positioning accuracy into consideration. As there are merely binary linear equations to solve, real-time ability is also reflected in the proposed algorithm, which is very worth mentioning because most current positioning algorithms fail to deliver the efficiency. In addition, we treated the LED-ID detection and recognition problem, which is an essential part of the algorithm, as a classification problem in machine learning field and machine learning algorithm into consideration. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithm provides an accuracy of 4.38 cm and the computational time is 65.50 ms, suggesting that the proposed algorithm has a good performance in accuracy as well as real-time ability. In this paper, an indoor positioning algorithm based on visible light communication (VLC), combined with inertial measurement unit (IMU) is proposed to achieve the target of high-precision positioning in the indoor environment. A linearization method is proposed to estimate the quaternion errors and velocity errors with adaptive Kalman filtering (AKF). Then, the tilt angle is adopted in VLC received signal strength indicator (RSSI) propagation model to reduce the positioning errors, which is provided by IMU data. Furthermore, an indoor positioning algorithm based on VLC and IMU integration using weighted unscented Kalman filter (WUKF) is developed to obtain the final positioning solutions. Simulation results show that the proposed VLC and IMU integration algorithm can reduce the positioning solution errors to less than 0.23 m.

A kind of indoor locating algorithm based on RFID has been put forward since the indoor positioning system can not fully meet the requirements of location services. The algorithm takes the propagation characteristic of signal as the breakthrough point and improves the positioning precision of the algorithm by means of regional division, regional judgment strategy, virtual node, and so on. The optimal target position of the access point was put forward and an effective analysis of the regional division and virtual node was done along with the robustness design through the experimental analysis. The result of the indoor positioning experiment shows that this algorithm is of high positioning precision, providing technical support for developing the indoor positioning system based on RFID.

In response to the poor positioning performance and errors of the wheeled robot under a single sensor, a combination of wheel odometry dead reckoning, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) heading angle information, and map environment information obtained from LiDAR is used for indoor positioning of the wheeled robot. By using data from multiple sensors, errors are reduced and positioning accuracy is improved. The results show that combining the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), Gmapping algorithm, and Adaptive Monte Carlo Localization (AMCL) reduces the relative error by 8.35 % compared to the single wheel odometry heading calculation method. Compared with the EKF fusion method for dead reckoning and inertial measurement unit heading angle information, the relative error is reduced by 4 %, and there is no cumulative trend in angle error. This effectively addresses the challenge of cumulative errors in indoor positioning within environments that lack base stations, thereby enhancing accuracy and reliability in such specialized conditions.

Virtual reality is the use of computer simulation technology to generate a three-dimensional virtual world, which can provide users with visual, auditory, and tactile simulations as in the real world. Users can interact with things in this space, move with their own will, and have a sense of integration and participation. The virtual reality is a virtual reality technology based on panoramic images. A panoramic image is a panoramic image formed by splicing one or several groups of images at a 360-degree angle and realizes three-dimensional interaction through computer technology. A wireless network refers to any type of radio computer network, commonly combined with a telecommunication network, that links nodes to each other without cables. However, the current interior design platform can only carry out the layout from the perspective of space. Based on the existing research results, this paper combines the positioning of the indoor space with the realistic stereoscopic images and uses the three-dimensional virtual vision to design the indoor space. On this basis, an indoor space localization method based on indoor environment is proposed and studied in detail. And the positioning algorithm in the indoor environment is optimized and perfected, and the simulation and simulation are carried out on this basis. Finally, combined with the specific realization of the indoor environment, the test results are analyzed. The experimental results show that, taking the average score of 5 questionnaires as a sample, the method of this research has a score of 95 in practice. Compared with the conventional method, its score is far more than 80 points, and the ease of use is also more than 90 points. It shows that the method proposed in this paper is superior to the traditional design method, has high practicability and artistry, and obtains high user satisfaction.

Application Analysis of RFID in Library Automation Management

In order to provide readers with the location information of books quickly and accurately, simplify the book borrowing process, and improve the borrowing efficiency, RFID technology is introduced into the library. In this paper, based on the overall architecture of RFID library intelligent bookshelf system, through the indoor positioning algorithm, from the actual needs of the intelligent bookshelf system for book positioning, the RFID indoor positioning algorithm is selected. The simulation and performance analysis of the experimental data show that the average positioning error is the smallest when the number of nearest neighbor tags is 8, and the average positioning error of 100 times is 0.0239m. This method has a very high application value and provides a useful reference solution for the development of current book positioning systems and intelligent shelf systems.
