In this paper, a specialized system for NeuN-stained neurons detection in two dimensional images of cat spinal cord slices is proposed. Considered approach of using interactive algorithm based on threshold and morphological transformations, in combination with hand correction of detection errors, provides some interesting results. The system accurately processing large images and collects all data of provided experiments of neurons detection in the centralized data base, which provides approximation of large collection of resulting data. In recent years, with the rapid development of wireless communication industry, how to manage the interference become a central problem in modern communication system. Actually, this problem mostly comes from the less and less spectrum resource and increasing demand for high data rates. Although many interference management techniques have been proposed, because the interference can exist in any part of wireless communication, some basic problems of network interference are not able to be solved until the emergence of interference alignment technology. Interference alignment, in theory, can enable a performance that all the interference signals fall into the subspace of interference and all the useful signal also fall into the corresponding subspace. In this paper, we focus on the problem of signal transmitted over an interference channel, along the lines of the recently proposed methods of interference alignment. From the basic principle of interference alignment, we can see each receiver maintains its corresponding subspace, the transmitters mold their transmissions regularly in order to make all the interference signal received by a particular receiver and then falls into its interference subspace. The remaining part of the receiver space can be used to get the useful signal. For the general interference channel, compared with the previous method, this kind of technique not only minimizes the interference power that is overflowed out the interference subspace, but also minimizes the power of useful signal that is fell into the interference subspace.

User modelling is one of the prominent research fields in information retrieval systems. In this paper, we model user's preferences and search criteria using an NN (Neural Network) to solve a multiobjective optimization problem specific to environmental planning systems. We argue that some NP hard problems cannot be solved alone either by a human or by a computer. Human participation in automated search is one way of combining human intuition with algorithmic search to solve such problems. However, even humans have some limitations for participation in that they cannot participate in search completely because of human fatigue. To overcome this, in our approach, an NN tries to model the user's rating criteria and preferences to help the user in rating large set of designs. Although training an NN with limited data is not always feasible, there are many situations where a simple modelling technique (e. g., linear/quadratic mapping) works better if the learning data set is small. In this paper we attempt to get more accuracy of the NN by generating data using other linear/non-linear techniques that fills the gap created by lack of sufficient training data. Also, we provided the architectural design of an HPC based framework we have proposed and compared the performance of the NN with fuzzy logic and other linear/non-linear user modelling techniques for the environmental resources optimization problem.

This article considers multiobjective linear programming problems (MOLPP) where random fuzzy variables are contained in objective functions and constraints. The purpose of the proposed decision making model is to optimize values at risk under the constraints using a necessity measure. An interacitve algorithm is constructed in order to obtain a satisficing solution for the decision maker from among a set of Pareto optimal solutions.

Fairness has become one of the primary concerns in several Operational Research (OR) problems, especially in resource allocation problems. It is crucial to ensure a fair distribution of the resources across the entities so that the proposed solutions will be both applicable and acceptable. In many real-life systems, the most efficient solution will not be the most fair solution, which creates a trade-off between efficiency and fairness. We propose two approaches in order to help the decision makers (DM) to find an efficient solution which take fairness of the distribution of resources into account. First approach we propose is optimizing a specific subset of the set of Schur-concave functions, namely ordered weighted averaging (OWA) functions, which are able to reflect both efficiency and fairness concerns. We do not assume that the weights of the DM to be used in OWA functions are readily available. We explore a wide range of weight vectors and report results for these different choices of weights. We illustrate the approach using a workload allocation problem and a knapsack problem and visualize the trade-off between fairness and efficiency. In some applications, the DM may provide a reference point such that the aim would be finding an efficient solution which is more preferable than this reference in terms of fairness. For such cases we propose a second approach that maximizes efficiency while controlling fairness concerns via a constraint. Similar to the first approach, fairness concerns are reflected using OWA function forms. However, the resulting formulation yields to non-linearity. Thus, a hybrid interactive algorithm is presented that tackles this nonlinearity using an enumerative approach. The algorithm finds an efficient solution which OWA dominates the reference point by interacting with the DM. The algorithm is tested on knapsack problems and shows successful performance.

interactive Multi-objective Optimization Design for the Pylon Structure of an Airplane

The pylon structure of an airplane is very complex, and its high-fidelity analysis is quite time-consuming. If posterior preference optimization algorithm is used to solve this problem, the huge time consumption will be unacceptable in engineering practice due to the large amount of evaluation needed for the algorithm. So, a new interactive optimization algorithm-interactive multi-objective particle swarm optimization （IMOPSO） is presented. IMOPSO is efficient, simple and operable. The decision-maker can expediently determine the accurate preference in IMOPSO. IMOPSO is used to perform the pylon structure optimization design of an airplane, and a satisfactory design is achieved after only 12 generations of IMOPSO evolutions. Compared with original design, the maximum displacement of the satisfactory design is reduced, and the mass of the satisfactory design is decreased for 22%.

In earlier work, the Abstract State Machine Thesis - that arbitrary algorithms are behaviorally equivalent to abstract state machines - was established for several classes of algorithms, including ordinary, interactive, small-step algorithms. This was accomplished on the basis of axiomatizations of these classes of algorithms. In a companion paper [5] the axiomatisation was extended to cover interactive small-step algorithms that are not necessarily ordinary. This means that the algorithms (1) can complete a step without necessarily waiting for replies to all queries from that step and (2) can use not only the environment's replies but also the order in which the replies were received. In order to prove the thesis for algorithms of this generality, we extend here the definition of abstract state machines to incorporate explicit attention to the relative timing of replies and to the possible absence of replies. We prove the characterization theorem for extended ASMs with respect to general algorithms as axiomatised in [5].

A Structure for Flexible interactive Decision-Making

The interactive decision-making model employs concepts drawn from psychology, cybernetics and automatic control and is useful for development of computer-aided decision systems. To achieve such a model structure this research identifies decisionmaking thought process experiences, selecting twelve intelligence factors and grouping them into a decision-making fuzzy set based upon a synthesis of intelligence, decisionmaking models, and interactive algorithms. The principles of partitioning the set into layers according to intellectual ability and into stages in terms of sequences and causalities are presented. A two-dimensional flexible interactive decision-making structure, combining layers and stages then is obtained. The validity and applicability of the structure are shown by its definition, logical reasoning and illustrations. The structure can be used as a basis for function allocations and man-machine systems designs. It can assist practitioners in the comprehension of human decision processes, as well as providing systems operators with clear, wel1-organized thought approaches.
