Conventional optical image verification systems based on the joint transform correlator (JTC) can only recover symmetric images in the output plane, which is an limitation to practical usage. In this paper, an optical asymmetric-image verification system based on the JTC is proposed. An additional phase mask is attached with a spatial light modulator (SLM), which displays the joint power spectrum as the amplitude information, to enable the reconstruction of an asymmetric image in the output plane. Two phase functions are paired and iteratively retrieved by the use of the projection onto constraint sets algorithm. One key is one of the joint functions in the input plane and acts as the key. The other phase is attached by the SLM. Compared with the image verification system based on the JTC architecture, the proposed system can obtain the asymmetric images in the output plane. In addition, the the proposed architecture can also yield the better image quality for symmetric images. Simulation results are given to verify the proposed method.

An analytical voltage sag assessment method is proposed considering the interval characteristic of customer satisfaction degree. Based on the relationship between fault line length and voltage amplitude, the critical fault position can be determined by iterative algorithm and the customer un-satisfaction area in the power supply system is determined also. Due to the interval characteristic of customer satisfaction degree, the frequency of voltage sags at given buss can be assessed by the un-satisfaction area. The proposed method has been applied to a five-buss system and IEEE 30-buss RTS and compared with existing methods. The results show that the new method is credible and correct and with practical foreground.

Iterative Laplacian Score (IterativeLS), an extension of Laplacian score (LS) for unsupervised feature selection, iteratively updates the nearest neighborhood graph for evaluating the importance of a feature by its local preserving ability. However, LS and IterativeLS separately measure the importance of each feature and do not consider the association of features. To remedy it, this paper proposes an enhanced version of IterativeLS, called fast backward iterative Laplacian score (FBILS). The goal of FBILS is to fast remove some unimportant features by taking into account the association of features. The proposed FBILS evaluates the feature importance according to the joint local preserving ability that reflects the association of features. In addition, FBILS deletes more than one feature in an iteration, which would speed up the process of feature selection. Extensive experiments are conducted on UCI and microarray gene datasets. Experimental results confirm that FBILS can achieve a good performance.

The iteration algorithm of computation of effective estimators of the shape parameters of beta distributions using the unbiased estimators of the end point parameters of the random variable were obtained and investigated. For the cases when more accurate estimations of the parameters are required, one more step of computation, realized optimization of the obtained estimations, is necessary. The computation results, realized on the basis of the simulation of the appropriate random samples, demonstrate the correctness of the obtained theoretical outcomes.

Transformation of impedance spectra into relaxation time spectra (RTS) is used for determining contributions of individual processes of the oxygen electroreduction reaction (OER) to the polarization resistance of the electrochemical cell. The transformation technique involves the solution of the convolution equation found with the aid of a modified Van Cittert iteration algorithm checked on model impedance spectra. The technique, when used to analyze impedance spectra of electrochemical cells air\Pt\YSZ\YSZ + Ptlair, shows that the conversion of a globular structure of the YSZ + Pt cermet layer to a columnar one is accompanied by a change of peak amplitudes in RTS. The revealed RTS dynamics when heated to 750degreesC is compared with peculiarities of individual processes in OER.

In this paper the problem of ensuring the stability of the algorithm for detecting radar signals reflected from a moving target against the background of non-Gaussian interference is considered. An empirical Bayesian approach for the synthesis of decision-making rules is implemented using an autoregressive disturbance model, and a robust adaptive algorithm is also developed. Efficiency of the synthesized algorithm under the influence of non-Gaussian interference distributed according to the laws of Laplace and K-distribution is defined. Computer simulation was carried out using the Monte Carlo method.

In this paper, the problem of synthesis of a robust algorithm for detecting radar signals reflected from a moving target against the background of broadband non-Gaussian clutter is considered. An empirical Bayesian approach has been implemented to synthesize a decision rule, using Laplace's autoregressive noise interference model, and develop a robust adaptive algorithm. Computer simulations were conducted to determine the effectiveness of the robust algorithm under the influence of non-Gaussian clutter.

This paper addresses the 2-D harmonic retrieval problem embedded in complex Gaussian white noise. By use of the biorthogonality of matrices and rotational invariance property, a novel iteration algorithm for 2-D harmonic retrieval is presented, which obtains a single column of the Vandermonde matrix containing 1-D frequencies and the Corresponding column of the Vandermonde matrix containing the other 1-D frequencies in each iteration, thus this algorithm can pair the 2-D frequencies automatically. Its performance is verified by computer simulation results.

The problems of optimal design transmission waveform and sensing matrix in the compressive sensing radar (CSR) system were considered. A new iteration algorithm was proposed for joint design transmission waveform and sensing matrix. This algorithm had better rate of convergence and less mutual coherence than traditional design methods. We gave simulation results of the target detection performance of the CSR system using proposed algorithm in the delay-Doppler plane. The simulation results showed that the optimal design CSR system had better target detection performance than random choosing radar system under conditions of different SNR, number of measurements, and number of targets.

To solve the non-convex ascent trajectory optimization problem with non-convex dynamic equations and constraints, a convex optimization method is proposed in this paper. The ascent trajectory optimization problem is formulated by giving the ascent dynamic equations and analyzing constraint conditions, which is discretized into a nonlinear programming problem by trapezoidal integration. Then convex methods are researched on discrete constraints and dynamic equations, and an iterative algorithm is proposed based on narrowing trust region constraint. Simulation result proves that the method is faster and more accurate than the pseudo spectral method, and its low requirement of initial value and suitability for the change of terminal state in large range highly improve the efficiency of the ascent optimization.
