The measurement accuracy of phase shifting shadow moire is limited by the spatially non-uniform and random phase shift error. Substantial work has been developed to overcome this difficulty. But few works are proposed to deal with the two error sources above simultaneously. In the presented paper, we describe a solution that can compensate the both error sources at the same time. In our proposed method, a binocular stereovision system is integrated into our test configuration. By measuring the coordinates of marks attached to the measurement grating, the stereovision system obtains the position and the setting parameters are calibrated. Then, the acquiring three fringe patterns are analyzed by iterative least squares method in temporal and the phase shift is calibrated by the least squares fitting in spatial. Because a local cost function is used, the proposed calibration technique is insensitive to spatial variations in detector response. Numerical simulations and optical experiments show that the proposed method can effectively minimize the two phase-shift error sources and possess a superior performance than the existing typical phase shifting algorithm.

Interference alignment (IA) is a powerful scheme that has emerged out of recent work in the context of the MIMO X channel. Most of the existing IA schemes are aimed to optimize the sum-capacity, the error probability, and the mean square errors (MSE) of the system, and less consider the system power efficiency. This paper proposes a new IA scheme to minimize the system transmit power under the condition of every user's MSE constraint through a joint design of linear transmitter and receiver for a K-user MIMO interference system. In order to solve our optimization problem, we employ the Lagrange function and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions, then get the transmitter precoding and receiving filter matrices expressions by the analysis and derivation. Finally, we use a joint iterative algorithm to solve the proposed optimization problem. Simulation results verify that the provided scheme improves the power efficiency.

To resolve this problem, linear gradient x;y is employed together with nonlinear gradient, such as 4-Dimensional Radial In/Out (4DRIO), O-Space, etc. In this paper, we propose a hyperbola method, using x;y gradient and hyperbolic nonlinear gradient x(2) - y(2). Numerical simulation reveals that hyperbola sampling scheme and iterative algorithm leads to high efficiency in image reconstruction, and hyperbola method shows better reconstruction compare with O-Space technology.

Wikification, which stands for the process of linking terms in a plain text document to Wikipedia articles which represent the correct meanings of the terms, can be thought of as a generalized Word Sense Disambiguation problem. It disambiguates multi-word expressions (MWEs) in addition to single words. Existing Wikification techniques either models the context of a given term as well as the Wikipedia article as bags of words, or compute global constraints among Wikipedia concepts by the link graph or link distributions. The first method doesn't achieve good results because the MWEs can have very different meanings than its constituent words which themselves are ambiguous. The second method doesn't produce high accuracy because the link structure or link distribution is often biased or incomplete by themselves due to the fact that Wikipedia pages are often sparsely linked. In this paper, we present a simple but powerful framework of sense disambiguation using cooccurrences of Wikipedia links in the Wikipedia corpus. We propose an iterative method to enrich the sparsely-linked articles by adding more links and then use the resulting link co-occurrence matrix to disambiguate an input document by a sliding window algorithm. Our prototype system achieves 89.97% precision and 76.43% recall on average for three benchmark data and compares favorably against four state-of-the-art wikification techniques.

Image segmentation technology is crucial for feature extraction. In this paper, the traditional thresholding method has been improved, and the optimal threshold segmentation method is proposed by combining the iterative algorithm and mathematical morphology. Through analyzing the target area of image, the scope of the general gray-scale is determined. Based on the image edge and region, fast iterative algorithm is used to choose the optimum threshold as segmentation criteria. Moreover, morphology open computing is applied to the image threshold segmentation. Then the method is used in processing marine oil spill and solar flares. Different experiments of marine oil spill and solar flares based on the method show that this method can not only extract a clearer definition of interesting areas, but also can show a more clear-cut edge.

Vander-Lugt correlator([1]) plays an important role in optical pattern recognition due to the characteristics of accurate positioning and high signal-to-noise ratio. The ideal Vander-Lugt correlator should have the ability of outputting strong and sharp correlation peak in allusion to the true target, in the existing Spatial Light Modulators([2]), Liquid Crystal On Silicon(LCOS) has been the most competitive candidate for the matched filter owing to the continuous phase modulation peculiarity. Allowing for the distortions of the target to be identified including rotations, scaling changes, perspective changes, which can severely impact the correlation recognition results, herein, we present a modified Vander-Lugt correlator based on the LCOS by means of applying an iterative algorithm to the design of the filter so that the correlator can invariant to the distortions while maintaining good performance. The results of numerical simulation demonstrate that the filter could get the similar recognition results for all the training images. And the experiment shows that the modified correlator achieves the 180 degrees rotating tolerance significantly improving the recognition efficiency of the correlator.

In many applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) such as monitoring applications or routing, localization is one of the important issues that affect directly the network quality of operation. Secure localization in WSNs needs to detect malicious nodes and exclude them in order to avoid deception by attackers. Accurate and appropriate methods that are usually iterative algorithms such as gradient descent, least median square (LMdS) and voting based secure localization have been introduced in the recent literature. Gradient descent based secure localization has better performance in terms of convergence speed and accuracy while have the minimum complexity compared to the other methods, however, still more convergence speed is needed for real-time applications. In this paper, a new gradient based method has been introduced which has higher convergence speed among all existing algorithms and the probability of fault for this algorithm is less than other algorithms. The other advantage of the proposed method is its low complexity in comparison to the other methods and its capability to be implemented in hardware. Simulation results show that the introduced algorithm's convergence speed is about 10 times more than the gradient descent algorithm with same localization error.

The paper is committed in local image enhancement. At first, the authors propose an adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle. Adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle is the basement of local enhancement method which ensures that there is no distortion in processed image. And then, the authors propose an iterative algorithm, which could stretch gray-scale difference of adjacent pixels in premise of not changing gray magnitude relationship between adjacent pixels. At last, the authors propose a totally reference image quality assessment method based on adjacent pixel gray order-preserving principle. According to this quality assessment method, the authors made a set of comparative experiments with local histogram equalization and method. Experimental results show that the proposed enhancement method can get higher score and provide better visual effects, fully demonstrating its effectiveness. According to this quality assessment method, the proposed method shows a good effectiveness, through experimental results and comparison with local histogram equalization method.
