This paper deals with the mixed H-2/D-stability control problem. In this paper, we give an iterative algorithm for finding a sub-optimal controller of this problem. The proposed algorithm produces a controller which satisfies a necessary condition to be globally optimal controller of the mixed H-2/D-stability control problem. There was a lot of interest in multicast communications within this decade as it is an essential part of many network applications, e.g. video-on-demand, etc. In this paper, we model flow rate allocation for application overlay as a utility based optimization problem constrained by capacity limitations of physical links and overlay constraints. The optimization flow control presented here addresses not only concave utility functions which are suitable for applications with elastic traffics, but also especial forms of non-concave utilities that are used to model applications with inelastic traffics, which might demand for hard delay and rate requirements. We then propose an iterative algorithm as the solution to the optimization flow control problem and investigate especial forms of non-concave utilities that are supported by this model. Simulation results show that the iterative algorithm can be used to deal with sigmoidal-like utilities which are useful for modeling real-time applications such as live streaming.

This paper proposes a exible stochastic automaton-based network partitioning algorithm that is capable of find-ing the optimal k-way partition with respect to a broad range of cost functions, and given various constraints, in directed and weighted graphs. Further, this iterative algorithm requires only local computation, with respect to the graph. Hence, by incorporating a distributed stopping criterion, we have been able to solve certain partitioning problems in a totally distributed manner. In this article, this inuence model-based partitioning algorithm is motivated and introduced, and is shown to find the optimal partition for a large class of problems. Also, a conceptual discussion of why the algorithm might be expected to find good partitions quickly is included, and the performance of the algorithm is illustrated through examples. Applications in partitioning distributed communicatin-agent networks, sensor systems, and power grids are discussed.

Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) are a new and revolutionary technology to achieve spectrum, energy- and cost-efficient wireless networks. This paper studies the resource allocation for RIS-empowered device-to-device (D2D) communication underlaying a cellular network, in which an RIS is employed to enhance desired signals and suppress interference between paired D2D and cellular links. We maximize the sum rate of D2D users and cellular users by jointly optimizing the resource reuse indicators, the transmit power and the RIS's passive beamforming. To solve the formulated non-convex problem, we first propose an efficient user-pairing scheme based on relative channel strength to determine the resource reuse indicators. Then, the transmit power and the RIS's passive beamforming are jointly optimized by an iterative algorithm, based on the techniques of alternating optimization, successive convex approximation, Lagrangian dual transform and quadratic transform. Numerical results show that the proposed design outperforms the traditional D2D network without RIS.

This paper provides a nuclear norm minimization approach to an identification of linear systems with finite word-length data. Measurement data sampled from low resolution sensors are sequence of a few bit data and have large quantization errors, which deteriorate the identification accuracy. In this paper, the identification problem is formulated as a rank minimization problem, and the nuclear norm heuristic is introduced to estimate the model order and precise values of finite word-length data. An iterative algorithm is proposed based on the weighted nuclear norm minimization and its semidefinite programming formulation. Numerical examples demonstrate that we can estimate both the model order and parameters and show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

To solve the 'soft-field' nature and the ill-posed problem in electrical capacitance tomography (ECT)technology, a novel preconditioned conjugate gradient algorithm for electrical capacitance tomography is presented. The analysis of the basic principles of electrical capacitance tomography, based on the given preconditioned conjugate gradient method and calculation formula of the iteration steps of the ECT and to explore the feasibility of application of the algorithm, the algorithm to meet the convergence conditions and the reconstruction image error. Experimental results and simulation data indicate that the algorithm can provide high quality images and favorable stabilization compared with LBP, conjugate gradient algorithms in simple flow pattern and this new algorithm presents a feasible and effective way to research on image reconstruction algorithm for Electrical Capacitance Tomography System.

This paper studies reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) empowered symbiotic radio over broadcasting signals, i.e., a base station (BS) broadcasts to multiple primary receivers (PRs) under the assistance of a RIS, while the RIS also transmits information to an Internet-of-Things receiver (IR) by modulating the incident broadcasting signals. We formulate a problem to minimize the BS's transmit power by jointly optimizing the BS's active beamforming and the RIS's phase shifts (i.e., passive beamforming), under the signal-to-noise-ratio constraints of the primary and IoT transmission as well as the RIS's phase-shift constraints. However, the problem is challenging to be solved optimally, since the optimization variables are coupled and the constraints are non-convex. An efficient iterative algorithm based on the block coordinated descent and modified semidefinite relaxation techniques is proposed to solve this problem for both discrete and continuous phase shift scenarios. The convergency of the algorithm is proved and the complexity of the algorithm is analyzed. Numerical results validate that the proposed system outperforms the benchmark of traditional broadcasting system without RIS.

For research of the medium response with hierarchic structure we had developed an iterative algorithm for electromagnetic and seismic fields in the problem setting similar to analyzed higher for layered-block models with homogeneous inclusions. From the received results we did a conclusion, that the higher the rank of hierarchy of the medium the hardly diminishes the similarity between seismic and electromagnetic results, and the obtained information has a nondependent sense, which underlines the complexity of the researched medium.
